Oasis fans all say same thing about Liam Gallagher as they notice difference to previous tours

Oasis fans were keen to note Liam Gallagher's performance over the last few shows of the Live '25 tour, with many suggesting one thing was different to previous tours A major difference on the current Oasis tour has fans of the band talking about an improvement Liam Gallagher has made. The legendary frontman is touring with brother Noel Gallagher for the first time in 16 years, with delighted gig-goers saying there is one major change to note about Liam. ‌ His performances in Cardiff and Manchester have been praised by fans of the group, who say he sounds far better than they thought. The reason behind this has been speculated on by fans, who believe the 52-year-old is taking better care of his vocal cords for this sold-out tour. Oasis Live '25 saw the band play five home shows at Heaton Park, with the last wrapping earlier this week. ‌ ‌ A post to the r/Oasis Reddit page reads: "Does anyone else think Liam is sounding better as the tour rolls on, not worse like so many said would happen?" The fan went on to suggest Gallagher is taking "much better care" of his voice. "Not that I was expecting any different, he takes much better care of his voice nowadays since being properly diagnosed with his Hashimoto's disease [an autoimmune condition affecting the thyroid gland], but I assumed his voice would just stay consistent, not get miles better. "People are saying tonight (July 20) was the best gig so far for Liam and I can see why. So much for the ones who said he would sound like s**t within a few gigs." ‌ Gallagher confirmed in 2022 he had been diagnosed with the autoimmune disease, but fans say he is sounding better and better on the recent Oasis tours. One fan wrote: "The benefit of mostly doing the same set is it should get better each night. Liam looks fitter and healthier so that helps with singing. He's also got that break where Noel songs four songs by himself, so he can have two halves." ‌ Another added: "Well they are seven shows in. If his voice was going already it would be time to pack it in for good." A third shared: "I'm sure he will keep it up, but it is still basically the start of the tour." Other fans have praised the smart booking of the sold-out shows, saying the dates in-between give Gallagher time to rest. One fan suggested: "His voice is totally different, as it should be, if people can't really tell the difference that up to them, seven gigs in spread over 16 days, the management team no the problem and they are doing a great job, hope every enjoys the shows, I did. "They have managed his voice by spreading the dates out, it's not like an old Oasis tour from years back, night after night, they have spaced the tour very well and it's working well I think." Noel Gallagher, 58, has received just as much praise from gig-goers, who say his confidence on guitar is "better and better" with every show. A fan pointed out that Noel's musical skills appear to be sharpening with every show. "Noel's guitar playing is getting better every night," the fan said.

Recommended Reading: What road closures and delays will be in place around Murrayfield Stadium for the Oasis gigs? According to Edinburgh City Council, there will be road closures before and after the events to accommodate the influx of people coming to and from the concerts. These closures will affect the roads around the Roseburn, Murrayfield, and Haymarket areas, with West Approach Road also closing. This is usually the case when there is a major concert at the stadium and is something revellers can expect for upcoming gigs such as those by AC/DC. These restrictions will be in place on all three concert dates (August 8, August 9 and August 12).

WWE wrestler spotted wearing League of Ireland jersey

WWE wrestler Sami Zayn has gone viral after he was spotted wearing a Bohemians jersey during a WWE programme. Bohs turned heads internationally with the launch of their new strip, a sky blue jersey with the Oasis logo on it. Today's top videos STORY CONTINUES BELOW While the team won't be wearing the jerseys until the next round of the cup (which coincides with the band's return to Dublin on week ending August 17), that hasn't stopped them from appearing in other spaces; with Canadian pro wrestler Sami Zayn wearing the jersey in a backstage segment. Advertising his match later on in the night against Karrion Kross, Sami walked into the building stoically, but people couldn't help but recognise the jersey. 'Sami Zayn is Bohs,' the league's official account tweeted, while on Twitter (X), people were just as surprised. 'Does Sami zayn have a bohs shirt on??' one tweeted, while another joked that Sami will face Bray wrestler Finn Bálor next Monday on Raw, with Sami wearing that jersey while Finn wears a Bray Wanderers shirt. Pic: Netflix Sami wrestled on the indies for over a decade before signing for WWE, where he is best known for his work on the independent circuit, including in Ring of Honor and Chikara, as El Generico. When he signed for WWE, he began performing as Sami Zayn (El Generico didn't sign as he was busy building orphanages in Mexico), he won the NXT Championship on the company's then developmental brand NXT, before winning the Intercontinental Championship and tag team championship with his best friend and better enemy Kevin Owens. While he hasn't been advertised for when Smackdown comes to Dublin in August, the company has another Bohs fan in the locker room: namely Sheamus, with the Dubliner having previously worn the red and black stripes. Bohs will be wearing the jersey during their cup games, with them being sponsored by Oasis as the band go on their reunion tour. Pic: Bohemian FC The four-time WWE Champion, who was born in Cabra, also appeared on BohsTV in 2016, talking about his favourite memories in Dalymount — including when he was at a friendly match when Bohs lost 2-0 to Manchester United in 1990.

Liam Gallagher mocks Coldplay scandal, tells cheaters they're safe at Oasis show

Following Coldplay's now infamous "kiss cam" fail that put two tech execs on the Internet's viral hit list, other musicians are getting in on the joke. Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher extended a cheeky, profanity laced, welcome to unfaithful fans at the British rock band's reunion show in Manchester, England, on Sunday (July 20). "Do we have any lovebirds in the house?" he asked the crowd. "Don't worry, we don't got any of that Coldplay snidey (expletive) camera s—. Doesn't matter to us who you're (expletive) mingling with.... It's none of our (expletive) business." Country singer Morgan Wallen also reassured his fans at a concert in Arizona on July 18. "Anybody in here with their side chick, or whatever, I think you're safe here," he told the audience, in a video shared to social media. He added, however, "I don't condone cheating – anymore." That same night, Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger issued a warning before pointing a camera at fans during his Summer of '99 and Beyond Festival performance in Wisconsin. "Now if you're here with somebody you're not supposed to be here with, just duck," he quipped. American Idol judge Luke Bryan also referenced the incident during a tour stop in South Carolina on Thursday, July 17. "Who's here with their secretary tonight?" the singer asked the crowd as he warned them of cameras in the venue, as seen in a video shared to TikTok. "Don't get caught tonight." It all began on July 16, at Coldplay's Gillette Stadium show in Foxborough, Massachusetts, where a "kiss cam" zoomed in on a couple who appeared to be enjoying the concert while in a tender embrace. But after they abruptly pulled away and hid their faces from view as they realised they were on camera, Martin joked to the crowd that "either they're having an affair or they're just very shy." Internet sleuths quickly identified them as Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and the company's chief people officer, Kristin Cabot – both of whom are married to other people. The incident eventually led to Byron's resignation. The New York-based company, which has offices in San Jose and San Francisco, confirmed the move Saturday (July 19), citing the importance of leadership accountability. "Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met," Astronomer said in a statement. As memes flooded platforms, sports mascots across the US. eagerly jumped on the trend too. At a Phillies game in Philadelphia on Friday, the team's mascot recreated the moment on the jumbotron with over-the-top drama. The Arizona Diamondbacks' D. Baxter the Bobcat embraced a Cardinals fan before mimicking the original duo's evasive manoeuvres. Even ESPN's SportsCenter anchors Randy Scott and Gary Striewski gave the bit a cold-open spin, complete with dramatic camera pans and mock heartbreak. At Coldplay's show at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin, on Saturday, frontman Chris Martin addressed the controversy with a wink. "We'd like to say hello to some of you in the crowd," Martin said. "How we're going to do that is we're going to use our cameras and put some of you on the big screen. So please, if you haven't done your makeup, do your makeup now." During The Jumbotron Song no couples were featured. Meanwhile, Astronomer's newly appointed interim CEO Pete DeJoy, a co-founder of the data software firm, attempted to smooth over the controversy. "The spotlight has been unusual and surreal for our team and, while I would never have wished for it to happen like this, Astronomer is now a household name," he wrote on LinkedIn. "But our story is very much still being written." DeJoy added that Astronomer has "never shied away from challenges." "And yet, we're still here," he wrote. "We're here because Astronomer is built by people who live to solve hard problems, stay late to fix what's broken, and care deeply about doing things the right way. We're here because our customers trust us with their most ambitious data & AI projects. And, most importantly, we're here because the mission is bigger than any one moment." – San Francisco Chronicle/Tribune News Service
