Amanda Holden sets pulses racing in a plunging cowl-neck gown for Britain's Got Talent final after she hit back at Ofcom outrage over her racy outfits
Amanda Holden set pulses racing in a plunging cowl-neck gown as she stepped out on stage for the Britain's Got Talent final. The BGT judge, 54, often steals the show with her eye-popping ensembles - and Saturday's final was no different. Amanda showed off her incredible physique in a figure-hugging white satin halterneck gown as she walked out on stage hand-in-hand with fellow judge Alesha Dixon. But in a racy display, Amanda's dress featured a plunging cowl-neckline which saw a glimpse of a silver metal bra lining. She paired the look with elegant white heels and slicked her fair locks into a neat kow bun, sporting a dramatic diamante head piece. Amanda's BGT looks have raised eyebrows and have sparked more than 1,000 Ofcom complaints over the years, but she has passionately hit back at the criticism recently. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Amanda said she works closely with her stylist on creating each look and insisted she loves every single outfit she has worn on the show since its launch in 2007. She told Closer magazine: 'What you see on TV, I really love. 'I'm always asked about the Ofcom complaints, but every outfit on the show is checked before I leave my dressing room, so I'm never worried. 'I think people should have fun with fashion!' It is not the first time Amanda has defended her fashion choices on the talent competition after coming under fire from some viewers. In 2022, she said: 'Fashion is about taking risks. I encourage everyone to have a little fun and be a little daring. I'd be bored playing it safe.' She added that her co-star Alesha Dixon, 46, never cops criticism for her racy outfits, describing the level of complaints as 'bizarre'. The TV star's bold fashion choices on Britain's Got Talent are often a talking point among fans of the series, with Amanda repeatedly forced to hit back at criticism. In one very famous moment, a daring Julien Macdonald gown she wore during the semi-final of BGT in 2017 attracted a staggering 663 Ofcom complaints. The plunging floor-length dress plunged down to the navel, with a cut-out panel that reached the small of her back - but it came under fire when furious viewers deemed it 'inappropriate'. Despite the £11,000 ensemble causing hundreds of viewers to complain to Ofcom, the media regulator decided not to investigate. Ofcom said that while it recognised the dress 'had potential to offend some viewers during what is a family show' - the outfit 'would not have exceeded most viewers' expectations'. In 2019, another of Amanda's dresses on the show sparked nine Ofcom complaints. The judge wore for a sheer dress with spiderweb detailing over the chest, but it was branded 'inappropriate' by viewers, with nine viewers complaining about the look. However, Amanda appeared to see the funny side as she took to Instagram to share a joke about a water bottle sitting on the judges panel acting as a 'nipple cover'. The following night, she sparked more Ofcom complaints as she strutted her stuff in a gown by Lebanese designer Saiid Kobeisy. In another controversy, the regulator said the dress received 34 complaints relating to her dress. During an October 2020 episode, Amanda once again wowed in a plum Suzanne Neville dress with a lace corset top that showed off her toned legs. Of the 896 reported complaints made to Ofcom about the episode, 136 of these were about her dress, with Amanda sharing her 'baffled' reaction to the outrage. 'Just to say this dress got a tiny 136 complaints out of the 896 we apparently got that night,' she said on Instagram at the time.

Amanda Holden ignores critics as she wows in revealing gown for BGT final
Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden has stunned in her final outfit for the ITV talent competition after vowing to never tone down her fashion choices despite backlash Amanda Holden looked sensational as she stepped out for the live Britain's Got Talent final. The judge, 54, headed out onto the stage with her fellow co-stars Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli. She made sure to pull out all the stops for the grand final of the ITV talent show competition as just one contestant will earn a coveted slot at the Royal Variety Performance. Amanda rocked a revealing white gown Fans rushed to share their love for the outfit as one said, "Amanda looks incredible in that white dress #bgt #BGTFinal." Another tweeted: "Amanda Holden looking stunning for tonight's Britain's Got Talent final." A third said: "Amanda Holden gets better looking with age! #BGT." Amanda has sparked backlash thanks to some of her bold looks on the family-friendly show over the years, even landing herself in hot water with Ofcom. Some fans have called for her to "cover up" but Amanda has vowed to not tone down on her looks. In July 2017, Amanda rocked a plunging see-through Julien Macdonald dress that became the most complained about TV moment of the year. Amanda joked the furore was a 'national crisis', teasing: "I had bits of fish wire underneath my breasts trying to hold that together... It's all quite laughable, but all everyone seems to talk about. It's been called another national crisis – but, oh no, I will not be covered up." Her risqué frocks have become so talked about that she even has a team to check her chest before the live shows. "There's a whole body of people that knock on my door and come and stare at my chest before we go on air," she previously explained. "There's a t*t committee. There are so many brilliant people, they come down, knock on the door and there's the lady who's the producer who said, 'Mandy, it looks great'." Ahead of this year's final, Amanda gave an insight into how the judges will be celebrating when the show wraps. She said: "Normally the party is in my room after the show! "Bruno is the first in for a glass of red before the producers and perhaps my Golden Buzzer act pop in. The door is always open and the bubbles are always flowing. "My husband and girls have been down to the show most weeks too, which has been super special... I'd say Simon is the biggest joker now, especially now that his son Eric comes down to auditions and the live shows. He's much more emotional now and loves to see Eric laughing." She added to Closer magazine: "Simon will quite often look to Eric to see how he is reacting to an act. We joke that all our kids will replace us soon on the panel in the years to come."
