BTS Singer Jin Scores His First Hit Album On His Second Try

Jin was the final member of BTS to go solo and release a project under his own name, following his six bandmates all dropping at least one set apiece – and some of them had even shared multiple full-lengths before he gave the world his first. He finally delivered his debut collection, an EP titled Happy, in November 2024. Just six months later, he's back with Echo, a quick follow-up that has become even more successful in the United Kingdom, earning the singer some very special chart placements in the country. Echo arrives at No. 63 on the Official Albums chart. That tally ranks the most consumed EPs and full-lengths in the U.K., blending both sales and streaming activity. While Echo is Jin's second collection as a soloist, it's his first to appear on this list. Sadly, Happy did not perform well enough to make the roster last fall. The same short studio release gives Jin his first top 10 on the Official Albums Sales chart. On that tally, the EP starts at No. 8. It beats out the No. 19 starting point and peak of Happy. Jin also reaches a new career peak on the Official Physical Albums chart with Echo. In that instance, the EP doesn't crack the top 10, but instead, it kicks off its time at No. 15. That's just two spots north of where Happy premiered. Echo launches highest on the Official Album Downloads chart, becoming the third most-downloaded project in the U.K. Somewhat surprisingly, this is not a new high point for the BTS superstar on that tally. Happy beat that position by one space and missed out on ruling by just as many spots when it stalled at No. 2 last fall. Just one track from Echo appears on the charts in the U.K. this week. "Don't Say You Love Me" was chosen as the focus tune from the short collection, and it reaches four rosters this frame. "Don't Say You Love Me" enters the Official Singles Chart at No. 58, giving Jin his fifth solo placement on that all-encompassing songs ranking. Amazingly, the track launches at No. 1 on the other three rosters on which it debuts: the Official Singles Sales, Official Singles Downloads, and Official Physical Singles lists.

Lady Gaga's Debut Album Reaches A New Chart Peak 16 Years After It Dropped

Lady Gaga's The Fame reaches a new streaming peak in the U.K., climbing to No. 31 on the Official ... More Albums Streaming chart 256 weeks into its run. INDIO, CALIFORNIA - APRIL 11: (FOR EDITORIAL USE ONLY) (EXCLUSIVE ACCESS) Lady Gaga performs at the Coachella Stage during the 2025 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival at Empire Polo Club on April 11, 2025 in Indio, California. (Photo byfor Coachella) Lady Gaga's focus at the moment is still on her album Mayhem. The singer dropped the dark electronic dance project earlier in 2024, and after heavy promotion, the set became another huge winner for her on charts all around the world. It continues to perform well, thanks largely to singles like "Abracadabra" and especially "Die With a Smile" with Bruno Mars. While millions of people continue to buy and stream the most recent full-length in Gaga's arsenal, the set that started it all for the pop superstar is not only still popular — it actually manages to rise to a new peak on one major chart this week. The Fame, Gaga's debut full-length, lives on multiple charts in the United Kingdom this frame. It's a top 40 win on both tallies where it can be found, as people just can't get enough of the decade-plus-old project. The Fame returns to the top 40 on the Official Albums chart, jumping from No. 48 to No. 37. At the same time, it climbs nine spaces to No. 31 on the Official Albums Streaming tally. On that latter list, which ranks the most successful collections on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and other competitors, The Fame reaches a new all-time peak. It does so 256 weeks into its time on the roster. Impressively, The Fame is only a few spots behind Mayhem on the Official Albums Streaming chart. Gaga's newer release dips from No. 20 to No. 28 in its ninth frame. Mayhem is also present inside the top 40 on almost every tally on which it appears, slipping just beneath that tier on the Official Album Downloads roster — but otherwise, the title is still performing exceptionally well. The Fame remains a constant source of commercial success for Gaga even to this day. Released in 2008, the project produced career-defining smashes like "Just Dance," "Poker Face," and "Paparazzi." The music featured on the full-length has come back into focus recently thanks to Gaga's Coachella headlining sets and her historic performance in Rio de Janeiro — all of which reminded the world to begin streaming the project once more.

‘Sinners' Is A Hit At The Box Office — And Now The Music Follows Suit

Sinners spawns two albums that chart in the U.K., with the soundtrack outperforming the score across ... More multiple Official Charts rankings. (Photo by Adrian Dennis / AFP) (Photo by ADRIAN DENNIS/AFP via Getty Images) In a relatively short span of time, Sinners has become one of the highest-grossing films of 2025. The Ryan Coogler-directed, Michael B. Jordan-starring picture is already the fifth highest-grossing film of the year globally, according to Box Office Mojo, bringing in more than $161 million to date. Now that the spooky action flick is out in theaters everywhere, the music from the project, which plays a central role in the plot, has also become successful on its own in the United Kingdom – and not just in one form. Sinners has spawned not one, but two full-length albums. There's the score, which is largely made up of instrumental compositions — standard for a movie soundtrack — but which also features a number of vocal performances. Several of the film's actors lend their voices to blues and traditional folk songs that are built into the story. In addition to the score, a proper soundtrack has also been released. While there's some crossover between the two projects, the soundtrack leans even further into an inspired-by vibe, bringing together tracks from musicians like Rod Wave, Brittany Howard, and Don Toliver. Between the two releases, the Sinners soundtrack emerges as the bigger winner in the U.K. This frame, the full-length appears on three charts and manages to lift higher than the score. The Sinners soundtrack opens highest on the Official Soundtrack Albums chart, where it launches inside the top 10 at No. 9 At the same time, the collection, which blends blues, Irish folk tunes, instrumental tracks, and even a bit of hip-hop, starts at No. 16 on the Official Album Downloads tally and at No. 26 on the Official Compilations list. The Sinners score also finds its way onto a handful of tallies across the Atlantic, as both musical companions to the film are resonating. The mostly instrumental project kicks off its time at No. 37 on the Official Soundtrack Albums chart, joining the actual soundtrack inside the top 40. Over on the Official Album Downloads tally, it debuts at No. 51. While the Sinners soundtrack is officially credited to various artists — a typical move for this kind of inspired-by collection — the score is attributed specifically to Ludwig Göransson. The Emmy, Grammy and Oscar-winning composer is back on the tally under his own name with the release of the Sinners score. Göransson has now placed six projects on the Official Album Downloads chart and eight on the Official Soundtrack Albums roster. That total, of course, doesn't account for projects like the Sinners soundtrack, where his contributions are part of a larger, multi-artist effort.
