To celebrate 75 years, Art's Bakery hosts four-day anniversary event
A well-known local bakery is marking 75 sweet years of serving the community. Beginning on Thursday, April 24, Art's Bakery is having a four-day birthday celebration. Oliver's Beer Garden set to reopen Thursday The shop is having festivities at both their Millcreek and Harborcreek locations, including promotions, treats and a chance to win prizes. The sales manager said it's an honor to continue Art's legacy. Love to laugh? Check out the 2025 Flagship City Comedy Festival lineup 'Art himself has a lot of help from people, whether it came to the floors, just building up the place, and making sure people knew it existed, and it just never stopped growing. Community is all we've ever needed, and it's the reason why we're able to be in Harborcreek. So thank you for giving us a reason to be at 75 years for being in Harborcreek and hopefully continue growing. It's all thanks to community,' said Taylor Warren, sales manager for Art's Bakery. Love to laugh? Check out the 2025 Flagship City Comedy Festival lineup
The Flagship City Comedy Festival begins Wednesday night, and the founder said it's back and bigger than ever. The festival includes 11 comedy shows over five days, where both local and national comedians will be taking the stage. Oliver's Beer Garden set to reopen Thursday Headliners include Dwight Simmons, Brandie Posey, Shane Torres and Ben Roy. The performances will be at different venues around town, starting with Werner Books & Coffee. Donations currently being collected for Sarah's Great Giveaway 'It's a collection of comics that are from all over the nation. So there's a great diversity of comics, but it also showcases some of our great small local businesses like Hazards Mini Golf, that's a late night show that we have this year, where it's 'Comic Against Humanity' style of showcase, and then my personal favorite is the Inked Comedy, where we get tattooed during our set,' said Anthony Morelli, founder of the Flagship City Comedy Festival. Oliver's Beer Garden set to reopen Thursday

Oliver's Beer Garden, located at 130 East Front Street, will reopen for the season on Thursday, April 24, at 4 p.m. Erie Events 'Community Report' highlights event successes in 2024 The venue offers a full-service bar, food from Oliver's very own food truck, live music, fire pits and mini golf. Furry friends are also welcome to join in on the fun.
