From batch cooking to reviewing your calendar, read on for our tips SUN SAVERS Four savvy tips to get on top of weekly admin and planning to save cash A SUNDAY reset – where you get on top of your weekly admin and planning – is a great way to prepare for the Monday-to-Friday grind. Not only will it save you time in the working week, it should also save you money. Advertisement Here's some tips . . . PREP MEALS: This is a cornerstone of the Sunday reset. By batch-cooking dishes, you can avoid last-minute take-aways or pricey ready meals. Your batch-cook menu might include Bolognese sauce, a chicken or veggie curry or chilli, and a sausage casserole. All of them can be cooked in advance, divided into portions and kept in the fridge or freezer for an easy mid-week meal. ZAP ADMIN: Now is the time to tackle your overflowing inbox and towering pile of papers. Advertisement Go through your paperwork and bills and dedicate an hour or two to sorting-out-your-life admin. If you've got a friend's birthday looming, choose a present now, instead of making a more expensive panic buy. Still got an hour to spare? Delete emails you don't need, and unsubscribe from mailing lists. Then do a thorough blitz of recent photos on your phone, only keeping the ones you really want. MAKE A BUDGET: Review what you spent over the last seven days, so you can see where you could have saved. Once that's done, you can create a budget for the week ahead. Advertisement Track subscriptions and cancel any you don't use, then work out how to budget for big costs over the longer term. CREATE A CALENDAR: Look at what's coming up in the weeks ahead and add to your diary or calendar. AllSaints, Tommy Hilfiger upgrade at Meadowhall, Oliver Bonas joins line-up
If proof were needed of why it claims 'top four regional mall' status, Sheffield's Meadowhall has announced a trio of new major name retail leases. Fashion brands AllSaints and Tommy Hilfiger have recommitted with significant investments, while Oliver Bonas has joined the destination, becoming its largest store in the North. Let's start with fashion/lifestyle brand Oliver Bonas, which will open there in the coming weeks with a 3,590 sq ft space opposite high-end fashion retailer Flannels. It will feature the brand's full range across fashion, accessories, homewares and gifting, fitted out with its new design concept, complete with an external green-tiled frontage and modern interior. Next, AllSaints has relocated to the destination's Upper Level High Street in an updated 3,252 sq ft store. The enhanced space' allows for a greater product range', within the brand's new store design concept 'which brings a lighter, more open aesthetic while staying true to AllSaints' industrial DNA'. Finally, on Meadowhall's Lower Level (adjacent to Oliver Bonas), Tommy Hilfiger is refitting its 2,462 sq ft store with the new-look space stocking menswear, womenswear and childrenswear. It will come with an 'elevated interior' set to feature the brand's staple colour palette and wood furnishings. The news follows other recent deals with JD, Superdrug, and Ann Summers growing to a combined 42,278 sq ft. Nearly trebling its presence within the destination, JD is upsizing by taking five adjacent units, Superdrug is relocating and is set to open one of its largest stores in the country in late May. Richard Crowther, Retail Leasing director at owner/operator British Land, said: 'The continued investment in Meadowhall, and our understanding of market trends, are two key reasons why brands have the destination so high on their list for the latest store concepts, meaning our visitors constantly have an experience reflective of the country's best-of-the-best in retail.' British Land also noted that this commitment follows Meadowhall's 'best Easter Weekend since 2018, with Easter Sunday the busiest on record'. The destination welcomed over 223,000 visitors over the four-day weekend, increasing by 4.4% compared to 2024.

Primark's Oliver Bonas 'lookalike' £12 jug makes 'delightful' sound
The new £12 ornament could be used as a centrepiece, a vase or as a jug - and looks similar to one at Oliver Bonas Primark has released a brand new range of homeware that brings " scandi seaside vibes" into your living spaces. The store's new "coastal cool" includes blue and white striped bedding, macrame cushions, shell-shaped soap dishes, woven seagrass trays and a sea breeze and orchid ceramic room spray. One standout item is its cobalt blue Ceramic Fish Glug Jug, which looks far more expensive than it really is. Fish Glug Jugs, often referred to as Gluggle Jugs, are unique ceramic jugs designed in the shape of a fish. When liquid is poured from it, it produces a 'glug-glug' sound. This 'delightful' gurgling noise comes from the jug's clever design, which features a hollow tail that captures air and lets it escape as the liquid flows out. The jugs originated in Staffordshire, England, in the 1870s. However, in recent months, they have become a popular trend among homeowners and interior design fans. Dunelm is selling one for £44, and there is a dark blue option on sale in Lakeland for £44.99. Amazon has also got in on the action with its £16 version. However, one of the cheapest on the market is Primark's £12 Ceramic Fish Glug Jug. Primark's jug looks almost identical to Oliver Bonas' Cobalt Blue Ceramic Gluggle Jug, which costs more at £45. Both come in a striking blue colour, although Oliver Bonas have other colour options too, and feature a similar fish design. On Primark's website, a statement about its £12 Ceramic Fish Glug Jug reads: "Make a splash at the table with this ceramic fish glug jug, a charming blend of function and fun. Shaped like a fish with intricate scale and fin details, this vibrant blue jug isn't just for pouring—it creates a delightful 'glug-glug' sound as liquid flows out, adding a playful touch to mealtimes and gatherings." It adds: "The open mouth serves as a spout, while the curved tail doubles as a handy grip for easy pouring. Whether used for water, juice, or simply as a decorative piece, this jug brings a whimsical flourish to any setting." The £12 jug is made from 100% ceramic and is not suitable for dishwashers or microwaves. The £12 jug has already been spotted by Primark shoppers, who have taken to TikTok to share their thoughts on the new ornament. One video by a user called Alexandraxjackso sees the content creator fill the jug with red roses, as she says: "How stunning". Meanwhile, describing its £45 Extra Large Cobalt Blue Ceramic Gluggle Jug online, Oliver Bonas says: "This statement jug is a traditional design, shaped in the style of a koi fish with a mouth-shaped pourer that makes a 'glug glug' sound when liquid is poured out, giving the jug its name. In a luscious deep blue, engraved with scale, fin and face details, this piece has a handle formed from its curved tail, and is made with a base that it stands on." It adds: "Use this decorative jug as a vase or utensil pot, or let it be the talk of the table as part of your entertaining tableware." The jug holds 1.3 litres and is 27cm high, 17cm wide and 10cm deep. The vitrified Porcelain jug can only be hand-washed and is not suitable for a dishwasher or microwave. Reviews of the £45 Oliver Bonas jug have been overwhelmingly positive, with many five-star comments. One shopper called Gemma said: "Brilliant talking point, and it really does gluggle! Very cute." Sophia said: "I've now bought 2 of these jugs as presents for family and friends - they're brilliant." Karen wrote: "Charming and Functional – A Must-Have Jug! I absolutely love this fish-shaped jug! Not only is it a quirky and eye-catching addition to my kitchen, but it's also surprisingly functional." Esther put: "These jugs are super fun and look great as a vase too!"

One and done: Nine ways to wear a versatile jumpsuit for any occasion
I'm a jumpsuit apologist. Adult onesie slights don't faze me. How could they? Two minutes to look put together; a whole day to feel smug. Yes, please. Ironically, the garment's practical provenance (think munitions factories, mechanics, skydivers) bestows its signature ease. Combine this with infinite styling options and we've got ourselves a bona fide wardrobe staple. Here's how. Jumpsuits are versatile, especially the classic iterations: short or long-sleeve, zip-through or button-down, the proportions lend themselves to layering, cinching, cuffing and anything that pulls the old switcheroo. Given our temperate but temperamental weather, this bodes well. Helen McAlinden's 'Frankie' is one of my everyday favourites. Pair with a trench coat and loafers or kitten heel slingbacks and sunglasses for instant laidback luxe. For something more casual, reimagine a denim boilersuit or a colourful corduroy number (try COS, Oliver Bonas or & Other Stories) with tank tops, long-sleeve underpinnings or roll necks paired with vintage sneakers or ballet flats. Got a handful of RSVPs and nothing to wear? Look to cape or asymmetric sleeves with in-built drama (COS and Mango deliver) or serve a print moment instead with a showstopper like Boden's floral confection. Or get your frills with V by Very's ruffled bandeau beauty in chic monochrome. Warning: prepare for all eyes on you. Prefer a clean slate? Zara's low-key offering with its sweetheart neckline and jet pockets offers real estate for belts and jewellery, allowing you to set the mood. You see? One and done.
