FIFA starts selling World Cup packages

Austin soccer fans can already get tickets to some FIFA World Cup 2026 matches. Why it matters: Austin loves itself some international soccer. During the opening match for the American men's national team in the 2022 World Cup, Austin ranked as Fox's top English-language market. Catch up quick: The U.S. — along with Canada and Mexico — is hosting the tournament. Yes, but: Austin itself isn't hosting any matches, though Dallas and Houston are. The intrigue: FIFA is catering to high-spending superfans by launching its VIP hospitality packages more than a year ahead of the tournament. State of play: On Location, FIFA's official hospitality partner, is selling VIP packages for some matches. The "U.S. venue series" package offers access to four to nine matches at a single stadium, starting at $8,275 per person. The "follow my team series" lets fans go to all of their team's early-stage matches, no matter where, starting at $6,750 per person. (Not available for host nation teams.) Zoom out: The Trump administration's immigration crackdown raised fears that international fans may not be able to travel during the World Cup, Politico reported.

2026 World Cup Ticket Sales Begin Soon as Bahrain Keeps the Dream Alive

Ticket sales for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, set to take place across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, are expected to begin later this year. Average group-stage ticket prices are estimated at around $305 USD (approx. 115 BHD). While the world gears up for the tournament, FIFA and its official partner On Location have launched premium hospitality packages for matches in select U.S. cities. These exclusive packages range in price from $8,275 USD (approx. 3,110 BHD) to $73,200 USD (approx. 27,530 BHD), depending on the city and matches included. New York, which will host the final at MetLife Stadium, offers packages starting from $25,800 USD (approx. 9,710 BHD) up to $73,200 USD (approx. 27,530 BHD). Los Angeles, the site of the United States' opening match on June 12, has deals priced between $20,300 USD (approx. 7,650 BHD) and $35,350 USD (approx. 13,290 BHD). Dallas stands out as the only city to host nine matches, including a semifinal, making it a prime destination for fans. The hospitality offerings include premium experiences such as private suite seating, field-level lounges, curated dining, and official memorabilia, creating unforgettable matchday moments. As the global excitement builds, Bahrain continues its own World Cup quest. A narrow 1–0 loss to Indonesia on March 25, courtesy of Ivar Jenner's 22nd-minute strike, left Bahrain in fifth place in Group C with six points. Indonesia climbed to fourth with nine. Despite the setback, Bahrain still has a chance. A match against Saudi Arabia awaits on home soil on June 5. With fan support and focus, Bahrain can still turn the tide and keep its World Cup dream alive. Bahrainis would relish the opportunity to attend matches in the host nations and support their team on football's biggest stage, and will be hoping for a miraculous turnaround in the campaign to make that dream a reality. General ticket sales, including more budget-friendly options, are expected to open later this year.
