Why LeAnn Rimes Teeth Fell Out Onstage
If you've been online at all in the last week, then you probably saw a few headlines about LeAnn Rimes' teeth falling out during a recent performance. The country superstar initially talked about the incident, which took place during a performance at Bow, Washington's Skagit Casino Resort, in a candid video posted to Instagram. 'I was onstage, and in the middle of 'One Way Ticket,' I feel something pop in my mouth,' she explained. 'And if you've been around, you know I've had a lot of dental surgeries, and I have a bridge in the front, and it fell out in the middle of my song.' 'I ran to the side of the stage and put it back in, like popped it back in, and then just went on singing. And then I just had to get real with everybody and tell them exactly what was happening, or else I would have had to walk offstage. For the rest of the show, I was literally like this, pushing my teeth in, like, every couple lines, and singing.' Obviously, having your teeth fall out is anyone's worst nightmare — especially if you're a world-famous performer giving it your all onstage. In a new interview with Flow Stage, LeAnn got extremely real about the initial dental surgery that led to her unfortunate incident. In the interview, LeAnn revealed that she got veneers when she was 16 and had them redone years later — but the dentist who redid her veneers didn't bond them correctly, so she later underwent multiple oral surgeries and root canals. 'I look at my pictures from that time, and my face was so different — it was just so swollen,' LeAnn said. 'Oh, it was awful. I was in chronic pain for, like, two-and-a-half years.' Sounds awful — but it also seems like she's being a good sport about the whole situation and is looking on the bright side. 'I don't usually have firsts in my career. That was a first and hopefully a last,' she said in her IG video. 'Get ready for something to fly out. If you catch them, please return them.' At the very least, it's good to know!

‘90s country star's teeth fall out on stage: ‘The show must go on'
1990s country music icon LeAnn Rimes decided to get real with her fans about an experience she found hugely embarrassing. 'OK, so we're going to do a little story time about how the show must go on,' Rimes begins in a TikTok video posted this week. The 42-year-old star, who got started in country music at just the age of 13, reminded fans that she has had multiple dental surgeries and that she has a bridge in the front. 'Last night I was on stage in the middle of 'One Way Ticket' when something popped in my mouth,' she said of a show she was performing in Bow, Washington, at Skagit Valley Casino and Resort. 'And it fell out in the middle of my song last night.' The 'How Do I Live' singer said her first reaction was to panic. She ran to the side of the stage and popped the bridge back into her mouth. 'I just had to get real with everybody and tell them exactly what was happening or else I would have had to walk off stage.' For the rest of the show, she said she was pushing her teeth back in every few lines, and she said she never before realized how many 'ff,' 'th' and 'sh' sounds are in her music before. 'That was the most epic experience ever. I don't usually have firsts in my career,' she said. 'That was a first and hopefully a last.' Rimes is an international multi-platinum selling singer, who has sold nearly 50 million albums and won two Grammy Awards — one of which she won at the age of 14 — and more than a dozen other awards. Rimes said she hoped that others would draw strength from her story and understand that the show can go on, even in the face of 'sheer, utter embarrassment.' 'And you know what, just like I said, there wasn't a (expletive) thing I could do about it, except either walk off or just hold my teeth in. So I just ran with it.'
