Police release statement after girl is hit by bus in city centre
A teenage girl remains in hospital after being hit by a bus in the city centre.
Western Road in Brighton was closed yesterday, May 26, after the 16-year-old girl was seriously injured at around 3.40pm.
She was taken to hospital where she remains today, May 27.

Police are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
Pictures from the scene show a cordon in place as emergency services dealt with the incident yesterday.
The road has since been reopened.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: 'An investigation is underway and anyone who saw what happened or captured any mobile, dash cam or CCTV footage is asked to email quoting Operation Sunstone.'
