Optiemus starts manufacturing Realme Buds T200 Lite locally, to scale capacity to 10,000 units daily
NEW DELHI: Optiemus Electronics (OEL) has started manufacturing 2,500 units per day of the Realme Buds T200 Lite , and plans to ramp up the capacity to 10,000 units daily in the coming months, the smartphone brand said on Wednesday. Realme had earlier partnered with OEL to manufacture up to 5 million AIoT devices annually, and potentially create over 2,000 jobs. The Realme Buds T200 Lite is the first product being locally produced under this collaboration, the companies said in a joint statement, adding that the production of hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC) earbuds, including the Realme Buds T200, will also commence soon. Realme aims to shift its entire AIoT product portfolio, including earphones, smartwatches, and headphones, to Indian manufacturers in the next three years. The brand is also working toward sourcing key components such as batteries, PCBs, cables, and chargers from within India. 'This is exactly the kind of progress we set out to make when we partnered with OEL. Getting the T200 Lite into production and out into the market from India is a clear step forward,' said Francis Wong , head of product marketing at Realme. In a recent interview, Wong told ETTelecom that Realme is actively exploring opportunities to export Made-in-India AIoT products to global markets, bolstering its aim to position India as a key hub for innovation, manufacturing, and global distribution in this space. 'With realme, it's not just about hitting production targets — it's about building something meaningful and long-term,' said Ashok Gupta, chairman, Optiemus Group. 'The speed at which the T200 Lite has gone from plan to production shows what's possible when both sides are focused. We look forward to scaling this up together.'

OnePlus launches Bullets Wirelss Z3 neckband with spatial audio and Google Fast Pair
OnePlus on Thursday (June 19, 2025) launched the wireless neckband Bullets Wireless Z3 with 3D spatial audio. The new Bullets Wireless Z3 neckband has been made by the Optiemus Electronics in Noida for which the Chinese smartphone has partnered with. OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z3 claims up to 36 hours of music playback and 21 hours of call duration. It features IP55-rated for dust and water resistance. OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z3 features 12.4mm dynamic bass drivers. There is Sound Master EQ that offers four audio presets: Balanced, Serenade, Bass, and Bold. It has a built-in voice assistant shortcut that allows users to make calls, play music, set reminders without even using your phone. The neckband also supports Bluetooth 5.4 for faster, more stable connections, Google Fast Pair for pairing with Android devices. The OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z3 has been priced at ₹1,699. It comes in Samba Sunset and Mambo Midnight. Bullets Wireless Z3 is available from June 24, on OnePlus, Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, OnePlus Experience Stores, Croma, Reliance, Vijay Sales, Bajaj Electronics and other leading retail chains.

India is a dynamic and fast-growing market for next-generation AI-enabled hearables, wearables, and power management devices. The partnership was aimed at expanding the manufacturing base to cater to domestic demand, while also opening up new opportunities to expand globally. As part of its long-term vision to strengthen domestic manufacturing, Realme planned to produce all of its AIoT product portfolio in India, including earphones, smartwatches, and tablets. Beginning this year, key products such as the realme Buds T200 series, realme Buds Wireless series, and realme Buds Air series will start rolling off local production lines. NEW DELHI: Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has partnered with Optiemus Electronics (OEL) to manufacture premium Internet of Things (IoT) devices, including true-wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds and neckbands, in Noida at the homegrown contract manufacturer's facility. 'This significant milestone underscores the joint commitment to enhance domestic production capabilities in India under the brand's strong commitment to the market,' the companies said in a joint statement Wednesday. The collaboration has begun with the commencement of local production for the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z3, which is a neckband device. OnePlus said in the statement that the strategic partnership aligns with its long-term vision for India, and the recent 'Starlight' project to strengthen localisation efforts in the region. Under the flagship initiative, the brand has planned to invest cumulatively ₹6,000 crore over the next three years. Notably, OnePlus' smartphones are presently being manufactured by Oppo in India. Optiemus Electronics, in turn, said it will provide the dedicated support required to increase bill-of-materials (BOM) level localisation, reduce costs, and improve supply chain resilience for the brand.
