Reports: Oregon WR Evan Stewart injured, season in doubt

June 6 - Oregon wide receiver Evan Stewart's 2025 season could be in jeopardy following a significant injury this week, multiple outlets reported. CBS Sports called it a "significant" lower-body injury. College Football Headlines posted on X that Stewart sustained a torn patellar tendon. Stewart finished third on the Ducks with 613 receiving yards last season, adding 48 receptions and five touchdowns in 13 games in his first season with the school. He had 112 yards in a win against Boise State on Sept. 7 and 149 in a win against Ohio State on Oct. 12. Stewart played his first two campaigns at Texas A&M, tallying 91 catches for 1,163 yards and six scores in 18 games from 2022-23. --Field Level Media

Oregon Football to host No. 1 LB in 2026 class on official visit this week

Oregon Football to host No. 1 LB in 2026 class on official visit this week The Oregon Ducks' list of official visitors this weekend to kick off the month of June was already star-studded, but it got even more so on Wednesday morning. According to multiple reports, 5-star linebacker Tyler Atkinson, the No. 1 ranked LB in the 2026 class, will be taking an official visit to Eugene this weekend, checking out Dan Lanning and the Ducks. Atkins stands at 6-foot-2, 210 pounds, and is rated by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 9 overall player in the nation. Atkinson has had a good relationship with Lanning and his staff over the last year, but this visit will be a great opportunity for him to ingratiate himself in the culture at Oregon and see what it is like to be in Eugene. He will also have a chance to join some other elite prospects on campus, with the likes of 5-star Brandon Arrington, 5-star Richard Wesley, 5-star Calvin Russell, and 5-star Joey O'Brien all taking OVs to see the Ducks as well. Atkinson took an OV to Clemson last weekend, but doesn't have any other official visits on the schedule for this summer as of yet. He is still being recruited by the likes of Georgia, Ohio State, and Alabama. 5-star Oregon Football commit schedules official visits to multiple schools

5-star Oregon Football commit schedules official visits to multiple schools Earlier this spring, the Oregon Ducks got great news on the recruiting trail, landing a surprise commitment from 5-star edge rusher Richard Wesley. The 247Sports Composite rates the 6-foot-5, 250-pound EDGE as the No. 14 player in the 2026 class, and the No. 2 EDGE in the nation. While his commitment added a needed boost to the Ducks' recruiting class in 2026, it doesn't appear that his verbal announcement ended things. Some rumors came out in the days following Wesley's commitment that things still needed to be ironed out with the NIL side of things, and that the commitment came as a surprise to even the player's parents. Now, Wesley has announced that he will take a number of official visits this summer and fall while he continues to weigh his options. The first OV will be to Eugene on June 6, followed by a trip to see the Texas Longhorns on June 20. While the date for an OV to the Texas A&M Aggies has not yet been set in stone, Wesley will go to see the Ohio State Buckeyes on August 30, the weekend that they host the Longhorns for the season-opener in Columbus. In the world of recruiting, it has generally been beneficial for teams to have the final official visit, giving them the "last word," so to speak. However, in the NIL era, that seems to be less impactful, with the highest bidder usually winning out. While Wesley is verbally committed to Oregon, it's become clear that this recruitment is far from over. 4-star LB Kenneth Goodwin puts Oregon Football among top schools

4-star LB Kenneth Goodwin puts Oregon Football among top schools Dan Lanning has had a lot of success with linebackers in his coaching career, and it looks like he's honing in on one of the next talented players at that position for the Oregon Ducks. Over the weekend, 4-star LB Kenneth Goodwin announced that he is down to five schools in his recruitment. The Ducks made the cut alongside the SMU Mustangs, Georgia Bulldogs, Michigan Wolverines, and Texas A&M Aggies. Goodwin is rated by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 248 player in the 2026 class, and the No. 16 linebacker. He stands at 6-foot-1, 205 pounds from Bishop Montgomery in California. Goodwin is also scheduled to take an official visit to Oregon on June 20 this summer. At the moment, the Ducks have the No. 18 class in the 2026 cycle, with a pair of 5-star players in TE Kendre Harrison and EDGE Richard Wesley committed. They are also in a good spot to land 5-star QB Ryder Lyons and 5-star OT Imanuel Iheanacho.
