Victor Osimhen transfer twist as £59m decision made on Man Utd target
Victor Osimhen is the subject of major interest from Manchester United, Galatasaray and Al-Hilal, with the striker now choosing to snub a move to one of those three clubs Victor Osimhen has rejected a move to Al-Hilal in a potential boost to Manchester United's hopes of signing the striker. Osimhen spent the season on loan at Galatasaray, firing them to the Turkish Super Lig and Turkish Cup double. He also previously starred for Napoli as they won the Serie A title back in 2023. But his career in Naples is over, with the Italian side keen to sell him this summer as he enters the final year of his contract. Gala are keen to bring him back to Istanbul on a permanent basis. But they faced a serious challenge from Hilal, who have cash to spent after missing out on the Saudi Pro League title this season. Hilal have just appointed Simeone Inzaghi as their new manager, fresh from leading Inter Milan to their second Champions League final in three years. They are able to call on bigger spending power than their Turkish rivals. But United are also sizing up a move for the 26-year-old as they continue to rebuild Ruben Amorim's squad. And in a huge boost for their hopes, it appears that Hilal's move for the Nigerian international is dead in the water. Hilal had submitted a £59million bid to Napoli for Osimhen and were waiting for the Italian club to respond. They were also prepared to hand the striker a bumper salary of £21m per year plus bonuses. But Osimhen has now rejected that, dashing Hilal's dreams of bringing the striker to the Middle East. Galatasaray have now moved into pole position and are trying to complete a deal. They have offered Osimhen a salary of £17.7m per year and are racing to get him to put pen to paper. Gala boss Okan Buruk has admitted he expects to count on Osimhen in his squad next season. Buruk said recently: "Osimhen is important... He is positive and loves this place very much. He did not say goodbye to anyone after the last match. If he had the intention of leaving, his behavior would have been different. I see him as 51 percent staying." Osimhen himself insisted towards the end of the season that he had made a decision on his future. But the striker refused to give a definitive answer as he looked to help Gala wrap up the title. 'The rumour is going around about me linked with the Premier League. Of course, when you're one of the hottest strikers in the world you expect this type of thing, it's one of the biggest and best leagues in the world," he said. 'For me, I'm with Napoli, signed a new contract and enjoying my time there with the team, at the end of the season I've already made up my mind, I already know what I want to do in my career. 'Since I've started, I've been the one making my own decisions on everything and it's working out well for me. I already know the next step I want to take so for now I just want to finish the season strong.'

Al Hilal submit official bid to Napoli for Victor Osimhen
Al Hilal is desperate in signing Victor Osimhen as they want a new striker in their squad. By Ravi Kumar Jha Published on June 6, 2025, 08:34 IST Al Hilal is desperate in signing Victor Osimhen as they want a new striker in their squad. Al Hilal has also submitted a bid to sign him. €65m + €5m in add-ons have been submitted to Napoli. It is now to the Serie A side whether they want to sell their striker for this price or they want to ask for more. Saudi Pro League giants Al Hilal have made a bold move in the summer transfer market by submitting a formal bid for Napoli star Victor Osimhen. The Riyadh-based club have tabled an offer worth €65 million plus €5 million in add-ons, showing their intent to strengthen their attack ahead of the new season. Al Hilal are desperate to land a top-class striker, and Osimhen has emerged as their primary target. The Nigerian forward has been on the radar of several clubs following his impressive performances for Napoli in recent seasons, including helping them win the Serie A title in 2022–23. It is now up to Napoli to decide whether they will accept the offer or hold out for a higher fee. The Italian club have previously been reluctant to let Osimhen go for anything less than his release clause, believed to be significantly higher than the current bid. With Al Hilal pushing hard to close the deal, all eyes are now on Napoli and how they respond in the coming days. Galatasaray create Osimhen problem for Napoli and Al-Hilal
Victor Osimhen is about to head into another row with Napoli, because while the club demands €75m, he is leaning towards a Galatasaray stay for one very simple reason. The striker had already joined Galatasaray last summer because the transfer window had closed in most European football markets and nobody was prepared to pay the figure either of them wanted. Advertisement It was meant to be a temporary loan so that he could get regular playing time and his transfer value wouldn't drop too much. Victor Osimhen Galatasaray (Photo by) That worked, as he scored 37 goals with eight assists in 41 competitive appearances for the Turkish team. Now the pair are set to clash again, because while Napoli rejected the €65m plus bonuses offer from Al-Hilal and are holding out for his €74m release clause, Osimhen is resisting too. (Photo by) According to Fabrizio Romano, Sky Sports Deutschland and Turkish transfer expert Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, Osimhen would rather accept a slightly lower salary and stay at Galatasaray if it means playing in the Champions League next season. Advertisement This is a problem because while they might be able to offer €21m in wages, the transfer fee is still well below that €75m mark. Both had been hoping that Premier League clubs would step in, but just like last summer, they have been curiously shy about coming forward with big offers. It is a recipe for another tense summer where Osimhen and Napoli both stand firm trying to defend their own very different interests.

Victor Osimhen transfer blow as Man Utd may miss out after staggering £34m offer
Manchester United have been linked with Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, who scored 37 goals in 41 games on loan at Galatasaray, leaving him with a decision to make over his future Victor Osimhen has just five days to decide on a lucrative move to Al-Hilal in time for the Club World Cup - or wait for Manchester United. Osimhen, 26, is fresh off a surprise prolific loan spell with Galatasaray, helping the Istanbul giants win the league title by 11 points and lift the Turkish Cup. The Nigerian striker bagged 37 goals in 41 appearances but is due back at parent club Napoli, who plan to sell him to the highest bidder. Osimhen had a high-profile fallout with the club's hierarchy last season which led to his surprise move to Turkey. Napoli hope that a club matches his £63million release clause but Galatasaray are trying to sign him for less. The Super Lig champions could be blown out of the water, though, as Al-Hilal have turned their attention to Osimhen after being snubbed by United captain Bruno Fernandes. The Saudi side, who were keen on him last summer, want to make a big impression at the Club World Cup and have until June 10 to purchase new signings. They've agreed a £30m deal with AC Milan for left-back Theo Hernandez - who's yet to decide on the move - and have appointed Simone Inzaghi as their new manager fresh from his Champions League final humiliation with Inter on Saturday. According to German outlet Neunzigplus, Al-Hilal are willing to pay Osimhen a staggering £34m per year - nearly triple Galatasaray's £13m proposal. Al-Hilal are also willing to sell former Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic to free-up a starting place. But could Osimhen reject both and hold out for United? The Napoli outcast has been linked with the Red Devils amid their hunt for a new centre forward. United were targeting Ipswich's Liam Delap until Chelsea stole a march and announced his signing for £30m on Wednesday. Alongside Juventus, Chelsea were also tipped to sign Osimhen, so the stars could be aligning for the 26-year-old to end up at Old Trafford. But there's a sticking point. Should Manchester United sign Victor Osimhen? Have your say in the comments section. Having already shelled out £62.5m to sign Wolves attacker Matheus Cunha and being asked to pay £60m for Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo, United will be reliant on sales to make any further big-money signings. The Red Devils will listen to offers for their entire squad, although no departures are imminent. It's been suggested that United could use Rasmus Hojlund or Alejandro Garnacho as a makeweight in a deal for Osimhen, who's entered the final year of his contract with Napoli. There's nothing to say that the ex-Lille and Wolfsburg star couldn't join Al-Hilal after the Club World Cup, however, and Galatasaray would surely be willing to wait given his successful loan. Osimhen has been tight-lipped on his future, last addressing speculation in February. "I don't know to be honest," the Nigeria international admitted. "A few months ago, nobody ever thought I would come to Galatasaray, despite how big of a club they are. I live for the moment. [As] for what's going to happen in the summer, I don't know. "But I want everyone to understand something: I really love this club so much. I love the fans, I love everyone associated with this club, from the president down to the coaching staff."
