Alden Richards on Men Who Matter 2025 trophy: 'Parang nagbubunga 'yung works ko behind the camera'
Alden Richards is among the recipients of the Men Who Matter 2025 by PeopleAsia magazine, and for the Kapuso star, the honor serves as motivation for him to keep pursuing his passions and advocacy work. In Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras" Wednesday, the Asia's Multimedia Star shared that he is now in the "legacy building stage" of his life. "Sarap lang sa pakiramdam kasi parang nagbubunga lahat 'yung mga works ko behind the camera," he said. "I'm in my legacy building stage and the question every day that pops in my head is, 'How do you want to be remembered by the people around you?' And that's the reason why I keep on doing what I'm doing." Alden had made his directorial debut in "Out of Order," which premiered at the Da Nang Asian Film Festival in June. The passionate cyclist also recently finished his first-ever gravel cycling race, an experience he called "humbling." "Ang sarap lang sa pakiramdam na the only thing that matters to me that time was, of course safety is number one, but it was just me, the bike, the terrain, and the finish line. Ang saya, uultiin ko 'yun." And in July, he enrolled in a flight school. Of his aviation journey, he said, "The reason why it's happening to me right now is alam ni Lord one way or another that I'm gonna be able to finish that. I'm taking it one step at a time. Wala akong minamadali." Alden currently balances all these while serving as host of the Kapuso reality dance competition "Stars on the Floor." Per Alden, the people in the show all got to build solid relationships with each other. "Now that we're reaching almost the end, 'di pa po tapos mga Kapuso pero almost the end, medyo may konting melancholic feeling lang, but kaya naman. Malay mo Season 2 no?" Alden Richards to fly to UK for London Barrio Fiesta 2025
Alden Richards is set to fly to the United Kingdom for the London Barrio Fiesta 2025 happening from July 5 to 6 at the Cranford Community College in Hounslow. According to Nelson Canlas' report in "24 Oras" Thursday, the Asia's Multimedia Star just got back to the Philippines following his recent trip to Vietnam for the Da Nang Asian Film Festival where he made his directorial debut with his film, "Out of Order." Alden will be flying to London on Friday morning for the annual London Barrio Fiesta, which will also feature Sparkle stars Julie Anne San Jose and Rayver Cruz. "Magkita-kita po tayo diyan mga Kapuso, it's gonna be a fun-filled day and we're very excited. It's been a while since my last London trip as well so this time, nag-extend ako nang konti to be with my family. It's also their first time sa London so iikot ko sila dun," said Alden. Julie Anne and Rayver have already jetted off to London ahead of Alden. This will be their first time to visit and perform there together. The Kapuso couple currently hosts "The Clash" 2025, which airs every Sunday at 7:15 p.m. on GMA Network. Meanwhile, Alden is the host of the Kapuso dance competition "Stars on the Floor," which airs Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. on GMA. The show, which premiered on June 28, has been getting positive feedback, to which Alden is grateful. "Sobrang happy po kami sa magandang feedback ng mga Kapuso natin with this show. Kitang-kita lang how our hard work, passion and enjoyment show sa content ng show and tuloy-tuloy lang po, marami kaming hinanda para sa inyo," he said. Alden Richards graces Da Nang Asian Film Festival in Vietnam for ‘Out of Order'
Alden Richards is in Vietnam for his directorial debut! The Asia's Multimedia Star jetted off to Vietnam to grace the third Da Nang Asian Film Festival for his upcoming film 'Out of Order,' which he both directed and starred in. Sparkle GMA Artist Center shared photos of Alden at the film festival via social media on Wednesday. 'Out of Order,' which also stars Heaven Peralejo and Nonie Buencamino, premiered in the competition section of the film festival, which runs until July 5. The film marks Alden's first directorial job. He previously said that starring, producing, and directing a film is something he has dreamt of doing. Alden currently hosts the Kapuso dance competition "Stars on the Floor.' After starring in the Kapuso series "Pulang Araw" and the blockbuster movie "Hello, Love, Again" last year, Alden returned to "All-Out Sundays" in February. Alden Richards has been named this year's Phenomenal Box Office King at the 53rd Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation Box-Office Entertainment Awards. On Facebook, Sparkle shared a video of the Asia's Multimedia Star receiving his award. In 2024, Alden was also hailed as Box Office King by the Cinema Exhibitors Association of the Philippines, with Kathryn Bernardo as the Box Office Queen for their top-grossing Filipino film of all time, "Hello, Love, Again." Alden is set to host GMA's upcoming dance competition, "Stars on the Floor," where he will also perform during a dance production. Alden Richards calls out an airline for damage to his bike
Alden Richards took to social media to call out Cathay Pacific for the damage to his bike frame on his flight to the Philippines. On Instagram, Asia's Multimedia Star shared a photo of the damage and said "Shoutout to [Cathay Pacific] for fracturing my bike frame and unloading my bike box and bike rack on my way home to the Philippines." "This is very upsetting!" he added. Alden has been dedicated to cycling as of late. In May, he completed a 61-kilometer bike ride. His post has also been reshared by fellow Kapuso artist and bike enthusiast Kristoffer Martin. According to a representative from Cathay Pacific, the airline is aware of Alden's case and is currently investigating.
