Beware! Ignoring The ‘No Sex' Rule After Turkey Hair Transplant Can Lead To This Risk
The boy from Wales flew to Turkey to get his hair transplant done for free. Medical surgeries often come with some precautions to follow post-treatment. The Turkish hair transplant procedure also has a list of rules that should be avoided for a specific period. However, a 24-year-old influencer has recently ended up breaking one of the rules, resulting in a swollen face. As per Daily Star, Ruben Owen, who recently had his Turkish hair transplant, was advised to avoid any strenuous activities that could lead to sweating. This meant that he could neither sunbathe nor work out or have sex for two weeks. Flouting the 'no sex rule' led to his face blowing up like a balloon. Talking to the daily, he said, 'I wake up and my head's blown up like a balloon—face puffed, scalp tight, and it looked like I'd been stung by 100 bees." The boy from Wales flew to Turkey to get his hair transplant done for free. Reportedly, this was some kind of barter collaboration where Owen had to do clinic modelling in exchange. While the surgery was successful, his mistake during the post-surgery phase led him to one of the biggest troubles as soon as he came back to Wales. 'I didn't quite listen about the sex part," he admitted. Waking up to a swollen face scared Owen, who feared getting an STI. He immediately used Google to see if his symptoms matched with any STI. However, after figuring out what had really happened, he immediately regretted ignoring the doctors' advice. He was relieved after being told that the swelling would go down eventually. 'I looked like something out of a film. It was something else," the influencer added. It took seven days for the swelling to settle down. Ruben decided to get the transplant done at the age of 22, worrying about his receding hairline. He flew out to Turkey in November 2022, which cost him nearly $1,078 (£800) for his round-trip flights. He was back to Wales within a day of the procedure. Turkey has become a popular destination for individuals to get cut-rate cosmetic procedures. The cheap prices might sound attractive to many but may lead to high risks in a few cases if there are complications. view comments First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Why is Emmerdale not on tonight? Yet more scheduling chaos explained
Emmerdale has once again been taken off air tonight amid schedule changes on ITV. The Yorkshire-based soap has been facing disruption in recent weeks due to the UEFA Women's Euros, and tonight is no different. The Lionesses are just two wins away from retaining their Championship title as they head into the semi-final match this evening. Sporting events throughout the summer have also affected rival soaps Coronation Street and EastEnders, leaving soap fans confused. Here is what you need to know about tonight's changes. Viewers tuning into ITV1 tonight at 7pm will be met with coverage of the England vs Italy football match, which is set to kick off at 8pm. Because of this, Emmerdale has been taken out of its usual 7.30pm slot. Fortunately, the ITV soap will be back on our screens at its usual time tomorrow, where Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) is in turmoil. In the episode, Cain struggles in the aftermath of the discovery of Owen's supposed confession, and his emotion leaves John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) rattled. Viewers will know that John left Owen to die while he forged a suicide note, framing Owen for Nate's murder. As Cain begs Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) for information on Owen, the doctor refuses to break patient confidentiality, causing Cain to snap. When John hears Liam and Cain discussing the pain of losing a child, he is overwhelmed with guilt for his actions. John reaches out to his usual volunteer at the helpline, but is torn when they suggest a phone call instead of messaging. Elsewhere, Kim Tate (Claire King) is eager to get her hands on Annie's field, but when Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) senses her desperation, he refuses to sign. More Trending Curious as to why she wants the land so badly, Robert attempts to figure it out. This switch in schedules comes ahead of a much larger change which is set to come into effect in 2026, and will affect both Emmerdale and Coronation Street. View More » The soaps will both air 30-minute episodes from Monday to Friday, creating what bosses are calling a 'soap power hour'. Is Emmerdale on tonight? ITV soap faces huge schedule shake-up again this week
Soaps are facing yet another schedule shake-up this week, as a Summer of sport continues over on BBC and ITV - but will Emmerdale fans get their Wednesday fix tonight? Emmerdale fans may be left disappointed if they sit down to get their Wednesday fix of the ITV show tonight. The ITV soap usually airs at 7.30pm on Wednesday, however, it's been taken off air again tonight following yet another schedule shake-up. The soap schedule has been all over the place this summer due to a number of huge sporting events - and the schedule continues this week. Tonight, ITV will be broadcasting coverage of the first UEFA Women's Euro semi-final, in which England will be taking on Italy live at the Stade de Genève in Switzerland. Coverage will begin from 7pm and run all the way up until the ITV news at 10.30pm. A win for the Lionesses will take them through to the final, which will take place this Sunday (July 27) and will be held at St. Jakob-Park in Basel. The winner of tonight's semi-final will be facing the winner of tomorrow night's semi-final, which will see Germany take on Spain. The second semi-final will air over on BBC, meaning EastEnders will be taking off air tomorrow night. Although fans are missing out on tonight's episode, Emmerdale will be back in its usual 7.30pm slot tomorrow night and in its one hour slot on Thursday night. The missing Emmerdale episode comes after a highly dramatic episode last night (July 21). On Friday we saw John head to the house of patient Owen, the man who had drugged Robert Sugden just weeks before. John found him lifeless after an apparent overdose, and instead of calling for help he let him die. Before fleeing the scene he wrote a suicide note on Owen's laptop which was a confession to Nate's murder. Last night, a detective told Cain and Tracy Owen was dead with them believing he had taken his own life, leaving his confession before taking an overdose. Of course, fans know that it was all John's doing. However, John went into so much detail in the note, hoping he wouldn't be found out. But will he manage to get away with it? It's set to be a huge week in the Dales next week, spoilers reveal. There's drama in with the Sugdens as Robert continues to look into his mysterious brother John, leading to the latter eyeing up the former as his next target... How long can John get away with his act?

Owen shines in debut T20I for Australia
Mitchell Owen marked his international debut with a half-century and a wicket to help Australia to a three-wicket win in the Twenty20 cricket series opener against West Indies. Owen shared an 80-run fifth-wicket stand off 40 deliveries with Cameron Green, who scored 51 off 26 balls, to put Australia on course to reach the victory target of 190 with seven balls to spare on Sunday. After being sent in to bat and making a flying start, West Indies was restricted to 189-8 after losing four wickets for five runs off the last nine balls. Australian fast bowler Ben Dwarshuis returned a career-best 4-36, taking three wickets in four deliveries - Jason Holder blocked a hat-trick ball but was out next delivery - in the next-to-last over of the West Indies innings. The top four West Indies batters all got starts, with Roston Chase plundering 60 from 32 deliveries before he was caught in the deep off Dwarshuis' bowling to end a 91-run second-wicket partnership with Shai Hope (55) in the 13th over. Anotehr win has given Australia, coming off a 3-0 test series sweep, an early lead in the five-game T20 series. Owen, a Tasmanian allrounder who opened the batting with success for the Hobart Hurricanes in the domestic T20 league last season, joined David Warner and Ricky Ponting as Australians who've scored a half-century on debut in the format. "Firstly happy we got the win - it was nice to contribute," he said. "Just nice to be mentioned with those class players." Magnificent Owen The 23-year-old allrounder's first scoring shot was a six straight down the ground against Andre Russell in a contest between a player on international debut against a veteran playing his next-to-last game. He also clouted the last ball of that over for six. Owen hit three sixes in one over from Akeal Hosein that went for 20 runs and included a dropped catch when the batter was on 26. He survived a very narrow miss on 42. Owen was at the non-striker's end and was out of his ground when Cameron Green hit a drive straight back down the pitch and it went through spinner Gudakesh Motie's hands and hit the stumps. After a long delay to check with ultra-edge technology, there was no evidence of any touch from Motie and umpires confirmed Owen was not out. Green raised his 50 off 25 balls later in the same over with a six and a boundary but was out next ball, caught in the deep off Motie. Owen scored 50 off 27 deliveries before he was caught out in the deep off Alzarri Joseph's bowling with Australia needing 15 runs from 21 deliveries and four wickets in hand for victory. Key wicket Shimron Hetmyer swiped Owen's first delivery in international cricket - in the 16th over of the match - over his left shoulder for six in extrordinary fashion. But the young Australian got his first wicket two balls later when Hope mis-timed a slower ball and was caught in the deep after hitting four boundaries and three sixes in a 39-ball innings. "Fantastic," Australia skipper Mitch Marsh said of Owen's debut. "Any time you get a young kid that comes in and performs like that in his first game for Australia, it's always really exciting. "I'm sure there'll be lots of people - I think it's mid-morning back home now - that would've watched that and will be really excited. So we're pumped for him."
