According to an affidavit, investigators with the Evansville-Vanderburgh County Drug Task Force and the DEA Evansville Office received information in the fall of 2024 that Robert Dismuke was obtaining pounds of methamphetamine from a source outside of Evansville. Authorities say Dismuke had a woman drive him to Indianapolis from Evansville on January 29 to transport a large amount of narcotics. During a traffic stop, Indiana State Police say a K-9 alerted to the presence of a controlled substance inside the vehicle. Authorities say Dismuke was arrested and approximately three pounds of methamphetamine and approximately two ounces of fentanyl were discovered under the hood of the vehicle. Detectives executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 200 block of West Florida Street in Evansville where Dismuke said he has been staying.
