More Local News The comments came as part of a wide-ranging interview to air on PIX on Politics Friday at 6:30 p.m. Host Dan Mannarino had asked Adrienne Adams if the governor called her. Hochul has publicly insisted she would let New Yorkers decide their next mayor when asked questions about the legal troubles of Mayor Eric Adams. She recently declined to remove him from office. More News: PIX on Politics Hochul has also been repeatedly asked her thoughts on the emergence of former Gov. Andrew Cuomo as a leading candidate for mayor, and similarly insisted New Yorkers will be the ones to choose their next Mayor.
