Badshah's USA Tour Sponsored By Pakistanis? FWICE Sends Letter, Demands Clarification

Scheduled to take place in Dallas on September 19, 2025, Badshah's show is allegedly sponsored by a company owned and operated by Pakistani nationals. The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has issued a letter to Badshah seeking clarification about his upcoming show, 'Badshah's Un-Finished Tour'. Scheduled to take place in Dallas on September 19, 2025, the show is allegedly sponsored by a company owned and operated by Pakistani nationals. 'Dear Mr. Badshah, It has come to our attention that you are scheduled to perform in an upcoming event Badshah Un-Finished Tour at the Curtis Culwell Centre in Dallas, USA, on the 19th of Sept 2025 which is reportedly being sponsored by 3Sixty Shows, a company owned and operated by Pakistani nationals," the letter reads. 'As you are aware, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), in alignment with the directives issued by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, has clearly instructed all artists, performers, and technicians in the Indian entertainment industry to refrain from engaging in any professional collaborations or performances with Pakistani nationals or organizations connected to Pakistan. These measures are in place considering the continuing acts of terrorism and hostile activities directed against India from across the border," it added. Seeking clarification from Badshah, the letter further stated, 'In light of this, we request your immediate clarification regarding your association with this event and the said organizers. We trust that as a respected Indian artist, you will uphold the sentiments of the nation and the directives issued by FWICE and the Government of India. Your prompt response will be appreciated so that we may take the necessary steps in accordance with our regulations." For the unversed, Indian artists were asked not to work with Pakistani artists following the Pahalgam attack in April 2025. India launched a counter-terror strike on Pakistan roughly 2 weeks after the Pahalgam attack, and destroyed the majority of the terror infrastructure across Pakistan. Amid the tensions between India and Pakistan, the Government of India also issued an advisory to OTT platforms, media streaming services, and intermediaries regarding content originating from Pakistan. All streaming platforms were advised to discontinue Pakistan-origin content, including films, web series, songs, and podcasts, with immediate effect. Social media accounts of Pakistani actors were also banned in India. First Published: August 14, 2025, 14:52 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Operation Deep Manifest launched against Pak goods post Pahelgam: Govt in Parl

The Department of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has seized Pakistan-origin goods worth ₹12.04 crore under Operation Deep Manifest, targeting illegal inflow of Pakistani goods routed through third countries, the Union finance ministry informed Parliament on Monday. Operation Deep Manifest specifically targets the illegal inflow of Pakistani-origin goods routed through third countries. (Digital Sansad website) 'Till July 2025, as part of this operation total of five cases involving goods of Pakistani origin have been booked by DRI, wherein goods valued at ₹1,204 lakhs have been seized,' Minister of State (MoS) for finance Pankaj Chaudhary said in a written response to queries raised by a clutch of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MPs. According to Chaudhary, in all five cases, the goods were being imported into India through indirect routes via the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Launched in the wake of heightened government vigilance following the comprehensive ban on Pakistani imports after the Pahalgam terror attack, Operation Deep Manifest specifically targets the illegal inflow of Pakistani-origin goods routed through third countries. The minister further informed that 13 cases of illegal import worth ₹12 lakh have also been detected by customs officials. 'In these cases, goods have been found to be imported in violation of the existing legal provisions, including prohibitions imposed vide DGFT Notification No. 06/2025-26 dated 02.05.2025,' he said. Earlier, on June 26, the government reported the seizure of 39 containers carrying 1,115 metric tonnes of goods valued at nearly ₹9 crore, with one of the importing firm's partners arrested. 'Investigations revealed that the goods were initially transported from Pakistan to Dubai on one set of containers and vessels, and subsequently transferred to another set of containers and vessels bound for India. Further examination of goods and analysis of documents gathered during investigations conducted so far uncovered cargo movement trails from Karachi port, Pakistan, and transshipments at Jabel Ali port, Dubai – en route to Indian ports,' the government notification said.

Who Is Salman Iftikhar? Pakistani Businessman Jailed Over Rape Threat To Air Hostess

Salman Iftikhar, a Pakistan-origin businessman in London, was sentenced to 15 months for abusing a Virgin Atlantic flight attendant. He has a criminal record spanning two decades. Salman Iftikhar is a Pakistan-origin businessman based in London who hit headlines two years ago for his abusive behaviour towards a Virgin Atlantic flight attendant during a first-class flight from London Heathrow to Lahore. He was recently sentenced to 15 months in prison in connection with the incident. According to his LinkedIn profile, Iftikhar (37) is the founder and director of Staffing Match, a UK-based recruitment company. Media reports describe him as leading a lavish lifestyle, residing in a £2 million home and owning a fleet of luxury vehicles. The court was told that Iftikhar has a criminal record spanning over two decades, with six previous convictions related to 15 offences, according to a report in NDTV. These offences include a common assault charge in 2004 and a drink-driving conviction in 2008. Further, in 2021, he was fined £3,000 after being caught driving his Rolls-Royce under the influence of alcohol and cannabis. NDTV, citing local reports, mentioned Iftikhar reportedly wore a grey suit paired with a pink shirt and yellow tie during his court appearance. He broke down in tears as he was sentenced to 15 months in jail. A father of three and husband to two wives, Iftikhar was travelling in the first-class section on February 7, 2023 when he became enraged after being asked to stop taking ice from the onboard bar. Isleworth Crown Court heard the case as Prosecutor Abdul Kapadia said Iftikhar's behaviour even forced the cabin crew to discuss diverting the plane to Turkey, the report further mentioned. However, the plane was not diverted and landed in Pakistan. The 37-year-old was arrested a year later, on March 16, 2024 at his home in Iver in England's Buckinghamshire. As per prosecutor Abdul Kapadia, Iftikhar knew the specific hotel, but also the hotel room numbers, and threatened the cabin crew. 'He told [the stewardess]: 'You will be dead on the floor of your hotel'." 'You will be dragged by your hair from your room and gang raped and set on fire," Kapadia said, citing Iftikhar. The victim, who was present in the court during the hearing, said: 'I am a strong, brave, happy stewardess, and loved my job… I was working when all flights were grounded on 9/11, and I've even flown into a warzone. Hania Aamir, Fawad Khan And Mahira Khan's Instagram Still Banned After Mawra Hocane's Unblocked

Last Updated: After the Pahalgam terror attack, Instagram accounts of Pakistani celebrities like Mawra Hocane, Yumna Zaidi, and Ahad Raza Mir were blocked in India. In the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack, several Pakistani celebrities found their Instagram accounts temporarily inaccessible to users in India. The blocks appeared to coincide with posts or discussions related to the attack and Operation Sindoor, India's response to the incident. Among those whose accounts were blocked were prominent Pakistani actors and influencers whose profiles suddenly became unavailable to Indian audiences. However, it now appears that some of these accounts have been quietly restored and are once again viewable from India. Accounts such as Mawra Hocane (best known to Indian audiences for Sanam Teri Kasam alongside Harshvardhan Rane), Yumna Zaidi, Ahad Raza Mir, and Danish Taimoor are now accessible again. All of these profiles had earlier become invisible to Indian users following the tensions triggered by the Pahalgam attack. Hania Aamir, Fawad Khan And Mahira Khan Accounts Still Blocked What remains to be seen is whether other Pakistani celebrities—including Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, and Hania Aamir—will also have their accounts restored in India. As of now, their profiles still remain inaccessible to Indian users. Indian users trying to access the accounts are met with a message saying: 'Account not available in India. This is because we complied with a legal request to restrict this content." Other celebrities affected by the action include Ali Zafar, Ayeza Khan, Sanam Saeed, Maya Ali, and Iqra Aziz Hussain. These actors, widely popular among Indian audiences for their performances and social media presence, are no longer visible to millions of followers in the country. The Government of India had issued an advisory to OTT platforms, media streaming services, and intermediaries regarding content originating from Pakistan in the wake of the Pahalgam attck. All streaming platforms were advised to discontinue Pakistan-origin content, including films, web series, songs, and podcasts, with immediate effect. The advisory references the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, highlighting that publishers must avoid content that affects India's sovereignty and integrity.
