Golden Retriever Puppy Helps Mom Relax with Hilarious ‘Barking Sound Bath'
Golden Retriever puppies are so cute and so naughty at the same time. They're terrible. They're like little sharks, and it's actually the worst thing you'll ever experience... but they're also so sweet that it completely makes up for all of that badness. On Tuesday, May 20th, one adorable Golden Retriever puppy really helped his mom relax. After a hard day at work, she was exhausted, and he decided to help her relax with a sound bath she couldn't resist: Tobias Alexander the Golden Retriever puppy definitely deserves to get a full government name. I'm sure his mom uses it all the time!Tobias Alexander, or Toby for short, is a monster of the cutest degree. He is so adorable it's almost not fair: he does lots of things that one could be mad at, and yet it's absolutely impossible to stay mad at him for too long because of his sweet face. When his mom got home on this day, he was so excited to see her, but she was so tired. He wanted to get up on the couch with her to try out snuggle therapy, but he was too little. He couldn't get up on his own, so he was forced to give her therapy from the ground in the form of a barking sound bath. Just look at him, though. It's impossible not to love him: Golden Retrievers are one of the most sought after breeds of all time, but they're also one of the hardest. They take well to training, but they're very stubborn as well, which are two things that don't always play well together. They're biters, too, so you really have to work on training them to resist that urge. They will chew up whatever they can get their shark-like teeth on, so you really need to be watching them or keeping them in a secure location at all times. Once they find their voice, though, it's basically over. Just look at Toby! 🐶🐾🐾 Golden Retriever Puppy Helps Mom Relax with Hilarious 'Barking Sound Bath' first appeared on Parade Pets on May 25, 2025

'Needy' Ragdoll Cat Turns Into Total Jealous Baby Meeting New Human Sibling
When you're the light of your parents' lives, it can be a difficult transition when another comes along to compete for their attention, whether it's another human or pet. Just ask Ragdoll "Queen Bee," Summer, whose Mom recently gave birth to her second child and now has the audacity to bring the infant to *the cat's* house. Summer is used to sharing Mom with other felines and one human, but this? Not a chance. Oldest children everywhere can probably relate to what Summer's going through. As long as @pearlsragdolls has been a social media titan, it's been Summer's world that everyone is merely allowed to exist in so this change isn't sitting well with the feline. As the leader of the adorable Ragdoll crew, and having birthed many babies herself, Summer has a lot of opinions about the newborn baby and she's going to tell everyone about it!The irony of this hilarious clip is that in 2021, Summer had a different attitude. With Mom's first child lying on the floor as an infant, the kitty (who was a new mama herself) carried one of her Ragdoll kittens over as if introducing the two. She seemed proud and excited that their children would grow up together. Watch and see for yourself! Maybe it's because Summer was more open to new humans back then, or she liked that baby better than the second! I'd like to think now, she's older, tired, and just not interested in entertaining the idea of another screaming baby who's not her own. But to be clear, "Grandma Summer" has always been the girl who'd carrying her kittens, grandkittens, nieces and nephews to various places in the house—usually dropping them off in Mom's bed when she's over babysitting. Absolutely shameless in her technique, this is why it's Summer's world! Maybe Summer will warm up to Mom's new baby soon, or maybe she'll just complain about it for the rest of time. Either way, it's still Summer's world so she'll decide what's what! 🐶🐾🐾 'Needy' Ragdoll Cat Turns Into Total Jealous Baby Meeting New Human Sibling first appeared on Parade Pets on May 23, 2025

German Shepherd Totally Upstages Human Baby by Obeying Mom's Command
Just because your child's sibling has fur does not make them any less of a sibling. All the hallmarks are there: they compete. They get jealous. They're nice to each other sometimes, but not all the time, and actually, not most of the time. Most of the time, it's just competition. Take this video from Thursday, May 22nd for example. When a new mom is trying to get her baby to say "mama," her German Shepherd decided it was his time to shine. He says it clear as day: Laina Barbier better be careful. This duo is going to be absolutely unstoppable when the baby gets older! We don't know either of their names, but we do know that they're adorable. The baby has been posted about a ton on Laina's account before this video, though this is the first time we've seen his spotlight-stealing furry friend join the show. The first-time parents are trying to teach their baby the basics: how to crawl, how to walk, how to eat solid food, and for Laina, the most important thing of all: how to say mama. The lessons aren't going well so far: if anything, the baby is learning how to bark! German Shepherds are very smart, and they love training exercises. Even when they're not puppies anymore, German Shepherds can pick up new tricks as long as you're consistent. They might pick up on "training" between you and your new baby in hopes of getting a treat! This boy get pretty close to saying "mama," and honestly, they should be impressed. That's totally a win! Soon, maybe the baby will say it... Or maybe he'll start barking. 🐶🐾🐾 German Shepherd Totally Upstages Human Baby by Obeying Mom's Command first appeared on Parade Pets on May 23, 2025

Golden Retriever Is 'So Excited Yet Confused' Meeting Newborn Human Sister
Babies are so special, but they're very confusing. They're cute, but they smell a little weird, and they cry a lot, but their giggles are way too cute. Overall, they are very confusing creatures that take some getting used to. Everything about having a baby is an adjustment. On Thursday, May 22nd, one Golden Retriever made his confusion/happiness/worry abundantly clear the first time he met his newborn baby sister. His parents were there every step of the way, but it was still so strange: Fernanda Miller is used to babying Benny the Golden and Benny is used to being babied. Meeting the reason why some things are going to have to change must be a little worrisome! Benny is the baby of the family, or at least he was. He got all of their attention, and he loved it: Golden Retrievers thrive off of human interaction. They do best when they feel loved, and they can even come off a little bit clingy. They don't mean to: they just love you! Benny's live with his parents was so perfect before the baby came in. They had nothing else to focus on, so he got to go for walks whenever he wanted and he could jump up on the furniture without a care in the world. Don't worry, though, because he and the baby are going to get along great. One thing about Golden Retrievers that everyone knows: they love kids. As she gets older and starts crawling, walking, and dropping snacks on the ground, he'll realize that bringing in the baby was for the best. All dogs will need some time to adjust when a new baby comes home, and you have a lot on your plate already, but you have to make it easier on them. Make sure they still get plenty of 1-on-1 time with you, and don't change their feeding times. They're your baby, too! Luckily, Benny has all the support he needs. His family really cares, and he cares for the baby, too! 🐶🐾🐾 Golden Retriever Is 'So Excited Yet Confused' Meeting Newborn Human Sister first appeared on Parade Pets on May 23, 2025

Golden Retriever Puppy Insists on Walking Himself Home and We're Obsessed with His Confidence
Puppies are always eager to explore the world, but some, right from the start, take their independence very seriously and want to prove to the world they can do anything they set their mind do. In a dog, when confidence meets cuteness, it's game over for our hearts. In an adorable video, we meet a Golden Retriever puppy who decides he's more than capable of taking the reins after their evening walk. He's got the confidence of someone who's been on this planet for far longer than just a few weeks, and we're in love. Take a look. On May 14, 2025, Reddit user Exact_Rate_6661 posted a video in r/goldenretrievers of their tiny Golden Retriever puppy and it might be one of the cutest clips we've seen. In the video we meet a small pup who is very much in charge of his life, and his parents. He doesn't care that he's been on the planet for a short amount of time because when he wants something, he knows how to get it and doesn't hesitate. It's dark outside and he's probably getting very sleepy, given how much energy we're watching him expel in this video. He grabs his blue lead from his parent's hands and decides to walk himself home. With his tail wagging and his mouth proudly holding his own lead, he trots along like a seasoned pro. It's equal parts adorable and the comments, many Reddit users chimed in with some thoughts on this adorable Golden Retriever, and had only the most kind words to say. One person wrote, 'Many puppies do this. He's very young. I predict this behaviour will change. You won't be able to get him home in a few weeks when he's a bit older and more interested in the outside world and abundant smells. Cheers.' Another shared, 'He thinks he's walking you home.' Someone else added, 'They are all the same haha my 8mo old will still try to do this.' One joked, 'Look at me - I am the leash owner now!' Other comments included, 'Aww, I miss when my girl was that little and did that,' 'He's a strong independent floof that doesn't need no hooman to lead him,' 'C'mon hooman,' 'Just a big boi doing big boi things,' and 'My guy did this too when he was little. I use a belt leash, so I imagine in his mind this was him walking me.' One user offered some advice, writing, 'They may grow out of it, and they may not. My dog pulls on his leash at 8 from the point we put in on until we get to the driveway, and then it's not stop sniffs for however long the walk is. It's never too early to start the 'hey don't chew that behaviors.' My dog prefers the nononono in a soft voice approach to that.' There's no convincing us that after this walk and his overpouring confidence that this Golden Retriever puppy didn't have the restful sleep. We hope so, at least. 🐶SIGN UP to get 'pawsitivity' delivered right to your inbox with inspiring & entertaining stories about our furry & feathered friends🐾🐾 Golden Retriever Puppy Insists on Walking Himself Home and We're Obsessed with His Confidence first appeared on Parade Pets on May 23, 2025
