Celebrity Bake Off 'signs up iconic British girlband star as she joins A-list line-up'
Celebrity Bake Off is heating up – and an iconic British girlband star is reportedly set to join a slew of A-listers in the tent. The next series, set to air in 2026, will see Sugababes star Mutya Buena, 40, take part in the Channel 4 show to raise money for Stand Up To Cancer, according to The Sun. A TV insider told the publication: 'Mutya will be seeing if she can get a handshake from Paul Hollywood when she goes into the tent. 'She doesn't consider herself much of a baker, but it's for charity and there are bound to be some.' MailOnline has contacted Channel 4 and Mutya's representative for comment. Mutya will be hoping to find her footing in the kitchen after her Celebrity MasterChef appearance last year, where she struggled with a cheesecake challenge. She famously created a buttery biscuit base that was so thick you could have used it to wedge open a door. Despite crashing out of the competition, the singer said she was proud of her progress. She said: 'I wanted to do Celebrity MasterChef because I enjoy cooking in general and I love cooking for my family and friends. 'I wanted to learn some new things in the kitchen, some new tricks that I could bring home.' The upcoming Stand Up To Cancer special is already shaping up to be a star-studded affair. Hollywood actress Ambika Mod, 29, who rose to fame in This Is Going To Hurt and more recently starred in One Day, will also reportedly be stepping into the tent alongside Geordie Shore favourite Vicky Pattison, 37. Also joining the line-up are comedian Babatunde Aleshe, 38, Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague, 26, and former Celebrity Big Brother contestant JoJo Siwa, 22. They'll be joined by RAG 'N' Bone Man, 40, broadcaster Edith Bowman, 51, and 8 Out of 10 Cats regular Jon Richardson, 42 – all ready to be judged by Cherish Finden and Paul Hollywood in the iconic Bake Off tent. The news of Mutya's appearance comes after Prue Leith, 85, announced she was stepping away from all Great British Bake Off specials earlier this year (L-R Paul, Prue, Noel, and Alison pictured last year) The news of Mutya's appearance comes after Prue Leith, 85, announced earlier this year that she would be stepping away from all Great British Bake Off specials. The aesthetics business owner, 30, started dating the Great British Bake Off star, 57, in 2017 around the time of his split from his ex-wife. But taking to Instagram on Monday, Summer showed off her incredible figure as she posed for snaps by the pool. The red-headed beauty sat lounging by a clear-blue pool after the sun had gone down while on the island of Kos. She displayed her chiselled abs in a baby pink sequined busty bikini, complete with a triangle top featuring straps and a skimpy pair of bottoms. However, Alex later claimed Paul's relationship with Summer started before their split - something which Summer has always vehemently denied. One of the triggers to end Summer's romance with Paul was his alleged 'controlling behaviour' - and the former barmaid explained in 2022 how she longs for someone who is more in line with her values. 'I want someone that's driven, that's confident, that's loyal. That's a huge thing for me, loyal and honest and not controlling,' she said. She said: 'I definitely hand him his receipts and I would also tell the girl as well. 'If you're confident enough to go out and be "single" when you're not single, then face the consequences for sure.' Paul's ex-wife Alex hit out at him in 2021, claiming their marriage was 'over seasoned with extra marital affairs'. She wrote on Instagram: 'It's taken me a while to get here and it hasn't been easy, but I love the woman I am now. 'I know only too well that not every marriage/partnership is a recipe for happiness and success. 'My own marriage was too over seasoned with extra marital affairs for my taste and so I opted out and chose the single menu instead. It wasn't easy and it took some getting used to. 'I wasn't even sure I liked it much at first, but as I regained my confidence, my freedom and myself after so long, I discovered that it really isn't a cliché to say happiness really does comes from within.' However, Alex later claimed Paul's relationship with Summer started before their split - something which Summer has always vehemently denied (Paul and Alex seen in 2015) She added: 'I still get the occasional well-meaning comment — that I'll get "snapped up soon" rather like a supermarket meal deal. 'People don't like to believe that a woman can be happier single.' MailOnline contacted a representative for Paul for comment at the time. Alex They got back together but finally went their separate ways in 2017, with Alex citing infidelity as the reason for the split.

Molly-Mae Hague leads the stars rumoured to be rising to the challenge on Celebrity Bake Off. The famous faces join Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond in the tent for the Stand Up To Cancer special on Channel 4, and each week, four different celebrities take part in a series of challenges to be crowned star baker. They are hoping to impress Paul Hollywood and new judge Caroline Waldegrave who took over from Prue Leith. The celebrities give up their time for the show to raise awareness about cancer. Over the weekend, excitement has continued to build over which names will be featuring on the reality baking show. Comedian Jon Richardson was the latest name linked with Celebrity Bake Off, however, he has already starred on the show in 2019. Celebrity Bake Off aired in March earlier this year, featuring stars: Roman Kemp, Kate Garraway, Gloria Hunniford and more. According to The Sun, who are the other names rumoured to be taking part in the next series? Molly-Mae Hague has just announced a second series of her fly-on-the-wall documentary Prime Video series Molly-Mae: Behind It All. On the series, the TV personality made no secret of her love of baking. The mum-of-one loves to bake elaborate cakes for her two-year-old daughter Bambi's birthday and celebrations. A stables and horses in pretty rainbow colours is one of the most astonishing cakes she has made to date so far. Admittedly though she said the cake took her two days and she "nearly gave up". Now Hague could be heading into the Celebrity Bake Off tent under the watchful eyes of Paul Hollywood. Will she be able to impress the judges and get the enviable Hollywood handshake? If she has the time to do the show, Hague is one to watch in the tent. JoJo Siwa is rumoured to be adding Celebrity Bake Off to her showbiz CV too. Everyone has been talking about Siwa since she starred on Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year. The Dance Moms star's friendship with Chris Hughes was the biggest talking point of the ITV show in March. Their friendship has blossomed into a romance which has continued to excite fans of the show. Can she get everyone talking about her baking skills too? After finding success on Celebrity MasterChef last year, Edith Bowman is rumoured to be taking on Celebrity Bake Off. In 2024, the radio DJ proved her culinary skills on Celebrity MasterChef where she made it through to the quarter finals. The Scottish star has been cooking forever. "I grew up in a very small family-run hotel, in a little town in Scotland. My mum and her sisters worked in the kitchen, so I learnt from the best." She previously said of her cooking skills. "My husband always jokes that when I try a new recipe I deviate and give it my own twist. My kids love my food, which is great and it's one of the things I've been really vigilant about – making home-cooked, healthy food and making sure that they get involved and learn skills. They love it." Will Bowman be able to get the coveted star baker prize? Comedian Babatunde Aleshe is also tipped to star on Celebrity Bake Off. The stand up funnyman has mastered a variety of reality TV, although none of them involve cooking skills! From I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here, Celebrity Gogglebox and Taskmaster, Aleshe has stood out on the reality scene with his fun and bubbly personality. Yahoo UK has reached out to Celebrity Bake Off's representatives for further comment. The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer usually airs every spring.
