'Demure' Golden Retriever Patiently Waits for Watermelon Treat Like a Queen

'Demure' Golden Retriever Patiently Waits for Watermelon Treat Like a Queen originally appeared on PawNation. When a dog loves a food—and I mean "over the moon obsessed"—there's nothing they won't do for just a tiny nibble. If you asked them to do backflips for a taste (and they understood your words), they would. If you happen to have said yummy food anywhere near, you'd better bet they feel the "Bat signal" and will mysteriously appear right there. This describes Honey, a Golden Retriever who really loves watermelon. I don't mean she's a casual fan, but a massive, die-hard melon fanatic, and she'll wait you out if it means maybe, possibly getting some. Honey is a saint for sitting like a pretty princess. I can't think of a better display of patience than this, and that includes all of us working folk holding onto every last wisp of it until Fri-yay. The Golden Retriever is definitely Golden-ing, but in her defense, she's a pristine example of the happy-go-lucky breed. I think that deserves a reward. Watermelon, per chance? Thankfully, there's a payoff at the end of this excruciating wait. My heart couldn't take knowing this good girl sat or nothing. I guess this is a lesson for us all: rewards come to those who can practice patience and are humbled by it. Honey didn't mean to be an inspiration, and yet here we are! 🐶🐾🐾 This story was originally reported by PawNation on Aug 19, 2025, where it first appeared. Solve the daily Crossword

Golden Retriever Gets DIY Bath After Missed Grooming Appointment and He's Offended

Golden Retriever Gets DIY Bath After Missed Grooming Appointment and He's Offended originally appeared on PawNation. It's weird how some dogs absolutely love playing in the water—but then act like the sky is falling when it's time for a bath. They will literally run and jump in a swimming pool all day long, but when Mom brings out the hose for a quick scrub session, they instantly fall into a depressed state. One pet mom shared a video on TikTok of her downtrodden Golden Retriever receiving a quick backyard bath—and without any context, it would be easy to be concerned about him. Chester's broken heart vibe is strong, and it's easy to think he's in an uncomfortable situation. Well, it's all an act! He's just upset that he didn't get to go to the groomer for his usual spa treatment. Unfortunately, this Golden Retriever is such a busy pup that his vet appointment and spa day overlapped—causing Mom to reschedule with the salon. Due to his overall stinky predicament, it was necessary for Mom to take matters into her own hands. The clip is a short one that starts with Chester being doused with a garden hose and ends with his head wrapped in an adorable babushka. The fluffy, four-legged drama king is going to live another day—despite the backyard bath torture he was subjected to. Bernedoodle Gets New Sprinkler and Immediately Says 'Nope'

Bernedoodle Gets New Sprinkler and Immediately Says 'Nope' originally appeared on PawNation. With summer temps getting the stuffy kind of uncomfortable, pups without pools or beach access need alternative ways to beat the heat. If you're lucky enough to have a splash pad or dog park with a cool fountain nearby, congrats—you're one of God's favorites. For everyone else, it comes down to the simpler options, like a sprinkler. Props to this childhood throwback for bringing up cringey memories playing in one of those! Bernedoodle, Lily, is in the same boat. Credit to Mom for trying, but this girl doesn't want any part of whatever that thing is! Keep in mind, Lily is a Texas babe, so being outside feels like actually touching the sun. Even though this strange device could bring relief, even though it might be fun, and even though it's not as scary as it looks, she still said "deuces" and skedaddled! Fair enough, but for a Bernedoodle outside in 100-degree weather, maybe she should give it another chance. This is the equivalent of buying your human kids that plastic pool, and spending your Saturday off filling and cleaning it for them to say, "Thanks, we hate it." Kids, both human and fur, have the special gift of trashing the good ideas we thought we had! Oh, well. There's always next summer (when she'll do the exact same thing)! 🐶🐾🐾 This story was originally reported by PawNation on Aug 16, 2025, where it first appeared. Solve the daily Crossword
