Battlefield 6 battle royale map leaks alongside new gameplay videos

EA's next instalment in the Battlefield series has been subject to even more leaks, ahead of a multiplayer showcase. Following the reveal of the first trailer last week, EA is finally dishing out concrete details on the next Battlefield title. The sequel has been subject to leaks through private player tests since earlier this year, but we now know it is officially called Battlefield 6. We have some details on the single-player campaign too, which will feature private military company Pax Armata as its antagonist. While we're set to learn more about the multiplayer portion in a showcase on Thursday, July 31, a number of leaks have once again snuck through the cracks ahead of time. The biggest of these is from Battlefield dataminer temporyal, who has created a mock-up of Battlefield 6's battle royale map based on data they've discovered. EA has not actually confirmed a battle royale mode for the shooter, but it's been widely rumoured since last year. The map, supposedly called Lyndon Beach, features nine main points of interest, including a Marina, Lighthouse, Main Street North, Main Street South, Gold Resort, The Valley, South Coast, Fort Lyndon, and The Docks. There are 27 other smaller points of interest listed too, including Angel Beach, The Promenade, Upper Silo, Security Checkpoint, Oil Pumps, and others. The leaker also claims there are 'scattered hints of a metro system' to make traversal easier. Here's a recreation of the 🪂 Battle Royale map in Battlefield 6.🏖️ The location appears to be called "Lyndon Beach".🗺️ I've added a few points of interest for context.🚇 There are scattered hints of a metro mode is currently labeled "Battlefield Royale" in-game. — temporyal (@temporyal) July 27, 2025 It's unclear if this will be the full extent of the map. 'I'm just looking at the data,' temporyal replied when asked about the map's size. 'Obviously, I can't speak for the final version, but at some point during development, it looked (or maybe still looks) like this.' The big question is whether the battle royale mode will be part of Battlefield 6 this year or whether it'll be an entirely separate, free-to-play title like Call Of Duty: Warzone. According to Battlefield leaker RivaLxfactor, they've heard from 'two sources' that the free-to-play mode will come out 'months after the base game'. More Trending If that's true, and Battlefield 6 launches as leaks suggest on October 10, 2025, that means the battle royale portion might not come out until 2026. Battlefield 6's battle royale spin-off is reportedly being developed by Ripple Effect, which is one of four studios operating under the 'Battlefield Studios' umbrella. The other three are DICE, Criterion, and Motive, who are all working on Battlefield 6 in different capacities. If you fancy more leaks, several gameplay videos have emerged online over the past few days. These show the impressive destruction effects and vehicular combat in multiplayer, although it's likely they'll be taken down by EA pretty swiftly. EA is set to announce more about Battlefield 6 on Thursday, July 31 at 7.30am BST, which might include details on the planned open beta. Battlefield 6 trailer is here: A look at theme, release date, and more

After years in development, Battlefield 6 is now gearing up for release. The makers, on Thursday, July 24, released the trailer of the highly anticipated game. The short video shows a glimpse of the theme of a significant geopolitical conflict. The events in the game take place between 2027 and 2030, and reportedly the missions seem to be in locations resembling the Great Siege Tunnels of Gibraltar. The trailer also shows New York under intense attack. The narrative centres around a battle between NATO and a private military organisation. According to the trailer, the military organisation named 'Pax Armata' attacks countries like Gibraltar, Belgium, and Georgia and the world at large. The footage that has been made public thus far also raises the possibility that allies like France are switching to Pax Armata, which seeks to undermine NATO's influence. According to renowned tipster Billbil-kun of Dealabs, Battlefield 6 will be released on October 10, 2025. It will be available in both a basic edition ($79.99) and a premium Phantom edition ($109.99). Game developer DICE, reportedly, conducted extensive testing on Battlefield 6. But reports suggest that only a limited number of players were allowed to participate in the covert playtest, which required them to sign non-disclosure agreements. However, a number of players broke their pledges of confidentiality and started sharing gameplay videos on YouTube. Additionally, EA has confirmed that an open beta, which extends the playtest to all players, will be arriving soon. Open Weapons vs Closed Weapons Why not both? Starting at Open Beta players can choose official playlists with Signature Weapons locked to class, or not. More to come. — Battlefield (@Battlefield) July 21, 2025 DICE did not share the playtest's start date, but the EA app has revealed the date. Reportedly the EA app on PC contained mentions of the BF6 beta alongside a publication date set for August 4, 2025. If true, the open beta will likely be announced during the multiplayer reveal event. Battlefield 6 will be skipping old-gen machines and releasing solely on current-gen consoles. Here are all the platforms Battlefield 6 will be available on: Xbox Series X/S, PC, and PS5. However, the PC version is said to be $10 less expensive. Pre-orders are expected to go live on July 31 without early access on any edition. Standard edition owners can upgrade to the Phantom version at any time for $29.99.

Battlefield 6 trailer debuts: Private militias, urban warfare and a global conflict ahead

Electronic Arts has officially lifted the lid on Battlefield 6, the highly anticipated next entry in its long-standing military shooter franchise. The reveal comes after a series of leaks and a four-year hiatus following the mixed reception of Battlefield 2042. The newly released two-minute trailer offers a cinematic look at the game's single-player campaign and introduces a new antagonist force, Pax Armata, a powerful private military corporation backed by former NATO nations. With its aggressive global agenda, Pax Armata sets the stage for a new conflict that will play out across both solo and multiplayer modes. Set against the backdrop of a world teetering on the brink of war, the trailer showcases sweeping shots of urban warfare, including the dramatic destruction of landmarks such as the Brooklyn Bridge. EA confirmed that the game will return to its roots with the reintroduction of a single-player campaign, which was absent in Battlefield 2042. 'In Battlefield 6, the franchise's signature combination of intense combat, expansive warfare, and player-driven freedom is back,' the publisher noted in a press release. 'Whether you're toppling buildings to gain a tactical edge or soaring through dogfights in the skies, the battlefield is yours to dominate. But remember, your most powerful weapon is your squad.' As expected, large-scale warfare remains central to the experience. Players can expect vast maps filled with tanks, jets, helicopters, and destructible environments, all of which have become hallmarks of the series. Notably, EA has promised the return of fan-favourite features such as 64-player matches and the traditional class system. While the reveal trailer gave fans a taste of the campaign's setting, it included no direct gameplay footage. The full reveal of Battlefield 6's multiplayer mode will take place during a live showcase event on 31 July. The presentation will be hosted by developers from Battlefield Studios, a coalition of four in-house teams, DICE, Criterion, Motive, and Ripple Effect. 'This is the biggest moment in Battlefield history,' EA said. 'Expect a deep dive into the game's most ambitious multiplayer experience yet, including all-new maps, returning fan-favourite modes, and exciting gameplay innovations.' Following the multiplayer reveal, content creators will stream live gameplay, giving the community its first hands-on look at the new title. A follow-up developer discussion is also planned for 2 August. Both events will be streamed on YouTube and Twitch. Battlefield 6 is set to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC during EA's fiscal year 2026, which runs through March 2026. Although an official release date has not been confirmed, industry leaks suggest an October launch. Players can now add the game to their wishlists via PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
