Corey Damen Jenkins Launches "Design Reimagined," a Groundbreaking YouTube Series That Pulls Back the Curtain on High-End Interior Design
NEW YORK, May 15, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Acclaimed AD100 interior designer, and MasterClass Instructor Corey Damen Jenkins announces the premiere of Design Reimagined, a first-of-its-kind YouTube series offering a rare, behind-the-scenes look at his acclaimed design process. Produced by Emmy and Peabody Award-winning Goodbye Pictures (Dream Home Makeover, Project Runway, Million Dollar Decorators), the series brings premium content to the home category on YouTube with cinematic, 4K production and Jenkins' honest insights, expert guidance, and accessible design inspiration. Season One—comprising seven episodes—documents the transformation of a luxury Upper East Side apartment for a mother and her two daughters. Each episode walks viewers through the design process room-by-room, culminating in a powerful final reveal. Along the way, Jenkins shares real-world budgets, timelines, and design challenges, with practical tips viewers can apply in their own homes. Design Reimagined with Corey Damen Jenkins is more than a design show—it's a personal mission. The first episode briefly introduces Jenkins' childhood love of comic book heroes who inspired him to rise above bullying and setbacks. "I was an unpopular kid in elementary school and junior high," Jenkins recalls, "I was constantly bullied by my classmates. Reading Marvel and DC comics transported me to another world and gave me the courage to face my own villains at school." Years later, he would channel that same resilience during the Great Recession by knocking on 779 doors to find his first client. Now, Design Reimagined with Corey Damen Jenkins empowers hopeful design superheroes to overcome fear, imposter syndrome, and creative doubt—offering motivation as much as transformation. "For decades, design shows and television networks have oversimplified our craft," Jenkins explains. "Design Reimagined sets the record straight with transparency, heart, and humor. It's design storytelling at its most honest—and most inspiring." This series, inspired by Jenkins' second Rizzoli coffee table book bearing the same title releasing this September, is the first time an AD100 designer has wedded premium streaming content to a high-end, luxury interior design publication. The show highlights luxury finishes from leading brands including Ann Sacks, Arteriors, Gracie, JennAir, Kohler, Kallista, Kravet, Robern, Stearns & Foster, and more. View the first episode, HERE. Dennis McDougal, True-Crime Author and Muckraker of the Movie Industry, Dies at 77
Dennis McDougal, a prolific author, Hollywood muckraker and Peabody Award-winning documentarian, died on Saturday from injuries sustained in a car crash in Southern California. He was 77. His death, in a hospital near Palm Springs, was confirmed by his stepson, Dennis Fitzgerald Dearmore. Mr. McDougal's wife, Sharon (Murphy) McDougal, 76, who was also critically injured in the crash, died at the hospital on Monday, Mr. Dearmore said. Mr. McDougal's car was rear-ended in a collision involving multiple vehicles on Interstate 10 near Desert Center, in Riverside County. The couple were driving from their home in Memphis to Hawthorne, Calif., to spend time with their grandchildren. Mr. McDougal was the author of more than a dozen books, including 'Angel of Darkness,' his first, published in 1991, about the serial killer Randy Kraft, and 'Five Easy Decades: How Jack Nicholson Became the Biggest Movie Star in Modern Times' (2008). 'The Last Mogul' (1998), about the talent agent and head of Universal Studios Lew R. Wasserman, was reviewed in The New York Times, which said that Mr. McDougal 'marshaled reams of documents and hundreds of interviews to show exactly how MCA used its muscle — from making friends with Presidents to strong-arming network executives and devising intricate tax shelters for star clients.' Mr. McDougal's biography of Bob Dylan was published in 2014. Credit... Trade Paper Press Thank you for your patience while we verify access. Docu film 'Forever We Are Young' explores global impact of BTS, Army
The film premiered at the 2025 SXSW film festival A documentary film offering an in-depth analysis of Army, the dedicated fandom of BTS, has been released. The documentary 'Forever We Are Young' had its world premiere at the 2025 South by Southwest Film Festival (SXSW) in Paramount Theater, Austin, Texas, Tuesday, according to Big Hit Music. Filmed over three years across diverse locations including Seoul, Los Angeles, Texas and Mexico City, the documentary was selected for screening in the "24 Beats Per Second" category. Rather than simply portraying Army as a fan community, the film delves into how they have become a positive social force and an unprecedented cultural phenomenon. In a press statement released by Big Hit Music, co-director Patty Ahn, a professor of Communication at UC San Diego, highlighted that Army has cultivated a new fandom culture rooted in care, unity, humor and joy, under the BTS's powerful message of loving yourself, valuing friendship and speaking truth. Grace Lee, a Peabody Award-winning filmmaker and the documentary's other director, explained that the film sheds light on the global impact of Army. "People from diverse backgrounds come together under the name 'Army,' covering BTS' dances, communicating and supporting one another. The film captures their diversity, values and the power of their collective unity," Lee explained.
