Chamber music festival returns to Gloucestershire this summer
A CHAMBER music festival will be held in a 13th-century Gloucestershire church this summer.
The Elmore Chamber Music Festival (ECMF) will run from August 6 to August 9 at St John the Baptist Church in Elmore.
Now in its sixth year, the festival is offering world-class performances from talented young musicians.
This year's line-up includes the award-winning Danish Novo Quartet, the festival's resident Elmore Quartet, internationally celebrated organist Henry Fairs, double bass soloist Toby Hughes and pianists Ben Powell and Alexia Daphne Eleftheriadou.
The festival also provides masterclasses and performance opportunities for young musicians, continuing its commitment to music education.
Locally sourced refreshments will be offered before and after each concert, in partnership with Gloucester's Pelican Inn and Wye Valley Brewery.
The festival's organisers said: "Now in its sixth year, we consider ECMF to be one of Gloucestershire's best kept secrets, and we are now taking the first steps toward growing the festival's profile on a national level."
