Fans and locals in the Cleveland area often praised him for having an approachable personality. There are even stories of him inviting a family to the field at a Browns game. Advertisement How about a hand for an imposing resume? Although the off-field aspects are interesting, Okoronkwo's spot on the roster will only be guaranteed by one thing. The biggest question that needs to be answered is whether or not he can play football. Forty-four tackles and five sacks for the Texans in 2022 are the career highs of a six-year career. His addition to the Eagles' roster won't guarantee him anything, but now, at least, he has a chance to do something significant and join the defending Super Bowl champions. Will he make the most of his opportunity? Only time will tell. This article originally appeared on Eagles Wire: Fun facts about Ogbo Okoronkwo

Arrowheadlines: Xavier Worthy tipped to have ‘breakout' season
Suh hasn't played in the NFL since he spent a season with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2022 but had not officially called it a career until Saturday when he issued an emotional statement on social media, announcing his retirement one year after the death of his father: July 12, 2024, was the hardest day of my life. It's the day I said goodbye to my father, the man who raised me, shaped me, challenged me, and believed in me before I believed in myself. He wasn't just a dad. He was my idol, my coach, and my anchor. He taught me what it meant to be disciplined, focused, and relentless in everything I do. Every snap I took in football carried his fingerprint. Every time I lined up across from someone, I could hear his voice pushing me, reminding me that I wasn't just representing myself. I was representing him, my family, my name. Before he passed, he gave me one final piece of advice, 'It's time to let football go. You've done everything you set out to do. Now it's time for the next chapter.' That conversation stayed with me. So today, one year later, I'm honoring that wish. I'm officially retiring from the NFL. I have so many memories to cherish. 13 seasons. 5x All-Pro. A Super Bowl ring. Countless battles in the trenches. I left it all on the field, and now I'm stepping away with peace and gratitude.

Highlights, notes from Eagles first 2025 rookie minicamp practice
The Philadelphia Eagles opened their 2025 rookie minicamp on Friday after selecting ten players in last weekend's NFL draft. If you add the nine undrafted free agents and 28 players invited for a tryout, the Birds have almost 52 players on the NovaCare Complex practice field. All eyes will be on second-round pick Andrew Mukuba, with No. 31 overall pick Jihaad Campbell unable to fully participate after having shoulder surgery last month. Advertisement With the first session underway, we're looking at highlights and key notes from Day 1. Eagles minicamp notes Before Friday's practice, four draft picks (LB Smael Mondon Jr., QB Kyle McCord, OT Myles Hinton, and OLB Antwaun Powell-Ryland) signed their rookie deals. Jihaad Campbell will wear the No. 30 and was on the field, but didn't have a helmet and was not participating in practice. Campbell is recovering from shoulder surgery in March, and the Eagles have been vague about when the No. 31 overall pick will be available. Kyle McCord is QB1. It's only the rookie minicamp, but McCord has the football to himself as the only quarterback on the roster.
