Pickleball Kingdom is bringing a location to Austell
A pickleball franchise is expanding to Cobb County. Pickleball Kingdom will open a new location at 3999 Austell Road, Suite 501, in Austell. The facility will be about 25,000 square feet and include 10 professional-grade indoor courts. It is expected to open this winter. The company announced in February that it will be launching a major expansion across Georgia, with more than 20 clubs in development. Nithi and Usha Anand are spearheading the expansion in Georgia. 'We are delighted to bring Pickleball Kingdom to Austell and contribute to the development of a thriving pickleball community in this area,' said the Anands in a statement. 'Our vision is to create a welcoming space where individuals can engage in this exciting sport, improve their fitness, and connect with others who share a passion for pickleball.' So far, in addition to the Austell location, Pickleball Kingdom is opening three other locations in Georgia: in Watkinsville at Hog Mountain Road and Macon Highway, as well as locations yet to be determined in Alpharetta and Atlanta. The opening date for the Watkinsville location hasn't been listed yet. Pickleball Kingdom has big plans. It currently has locations in nine states, with more locations targeted for 15 other states, according to the company's website. Pickleball Kingdom in Menomonee Falls will hold its grand opening weekend March 27 to 30
For anyone wanting to pick up the growing sport of pickleball, the Menomonee Falls location of Pickleball Kingdom will be open soon. Pickleball Kingdom will have a grand opening weekend March 27 to 30. Hours for the grand opening ― Thursday through Sunday ― will be the same as the facility's regular hours, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Local owner Greg Straub said the grand opening will be a "weekend long party" to show how fun pickleball will be at the club. He said the bar will be open, people can rent paddles or buy them from the pro shop. The 60,000-square-foot indoor facility features 17 courts ― including a champions court with bleachers, state-of-the-art lighting, a 24-foot-high ceiling, an event room, a Prolite Sports pro shop, a bar and restaurant. Green Bay Packers legend Donald Driver will be an equity investor and brand ambassador for Pickleball Kingdom's locations in Menomonee Falls, Madison and Green Bay, according to a news release from Pickleball Kingdom. Driver will be involved in the ownership and marketing for the locations, beginning with the Menomonee Falls facility. 'I loved winning on the football field and now it's equally important to me to win in business,' Driver said in a statement. 'When I met Greg Straub and Doug Reigle from Pickleball Kingdom, I knew I wanted them as teammates. Pickleball Kingdom is already the champion in its lane, and I'm excited about helping take things to a world championship level." Driver will be at the club for the grand opening. He'll be playing in the Founders Event for the club's founding members at 4 p.m. Friday, March 28, according to Menomonee Falls Pickleball Kingdom officials. He'll likely be at other events at the grand opening weekend, but company officials did not have specific times and dates. Founding memberships ― special memberships available to purchase before the club opens ― are available until March 26. To inquire about being a founder member, visit and click on "Become A Member." Pickleball Kingdom is located at N58 W14900 Shawn Circle (just north of Silver Spring Drive and west of Interstate 41). It is in the former building of Multi-Color Corp., which closed a little over a year ago. Pickleball Kingdom is a national franchise that opened its first location in Chandler, Arizona, in May 2022, according to its website. Holyoke Mall transformation in place this year
HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – The Holyoke Mall is planning an 'eventful year of transformation' with new store openings, remodels, and investments. A new indoor pickleball facility is set to undergo construction soon at the former Bob's Store location on the lower level near JCPenney. Pickleball Kingdom is expected to open later this year with 15 courts, a pro shop, and a snack bar. They opened their first location three years ago in Arizona and now has franchises in several states. Pickleball, a racket sport that uses paddles and a wiffleball, has seen participation boom 223% in the past three years. Due to its rise in players, pickleball has taken over or replaced tennis courts in many cities. The national retailer that has been around since 1974, Foot Locker, has remodeled its location in the Holyoke Mall. After $1.1 million in renovations, the store is now open with a new storefront, an open ceiling concept, more space, and new lighting. They are located on the lower level, just around the corner from Pickleball Kingdom. A new retailer, JD Sports, is opening in April that features athletic footwear and apparel. The company was founded in 1981 and is headquartered in England. They have about 3,400 stores worldwide with global inspiration and emerging trends. They will be located on the lower level near Hobby Lobby. The recently remodeled Altitude Trampoline Park has four new attractions that debuted in February. They also offer dodgeball, basketball, a ninja course, battlebeam, and more. Freedom Gaming Strike Arena: A fast-paced hunt-the-lights arena challenge where players test their speed and agility, competing individually, or in teams, to find and hit their colored pods. AeroTower: Interactive target attraction for single or multiplayer games, with the added challenge of rotating targets that test hand-eye coordination and reaction time. FreeStyle Duo: Dual interactive reaction walls that challenge speed and reaction, with flashing lightpods that test players reaction time and jump accuracy. PowrPlay: In this exciting interactive soccer target game, players score points by hitting the opposite team's target, with the option to score more points when hitting flashing targets. The food court is getting a new eatery, Uncle Cho's Fish & Chips. They are expected to 'open soon.' Fresh seafood will be made daily. Perfume Gallery offering a variety of premium perfumes recently opened. Terra Nossa Brazilian Grill, a Brazilian BBQ that includes rotisserie-style meats, Brazilian favorites Coxinha and Pastel, specialty drinks, desserts, and more recently opened. Ximi-V, an Asian lifestyle brand offering a wide variety of household items celebrated its grand opening in December. Indoor pickleball facility planned for Centerville
CENTERVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) — An Arizona-based indoor sports complex is wanting to open its first Ohio locations right here in southwest Ohio. Pickleball Kingdom is aiming to create a 13-court location at the former Restoration Hardware, located at 985 S. Main St. in Centerville. The city of Centerville approved a new business/business expansion zoning permit for the proposed new location. According to the permit, Pickleball Kingdom is wanting to operate from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. A proposed indoor rendering shows practice areas, lockers and restrooms, showers, lounges, community rooms, a pro shop and office space. The business also plans to open a 12-court location at 12130 Royal Point Drive in Symmes Township, near Cincinnati. On Jan. 21, 'Pickleball X Equity LLC' purchased that property for $4,875,000, according to online public property records.
