Google Pixel 10 tipped to launch on August 20 with gimbal-level stabilisation
Google's next flagship smartphones, the Pixel 10 series, are reportedly set to launch on 20 August at the company's next Made by Google event. As anticipation builds, fresh leaks have surfaced suggesting a significant boost in video stabilisation, alongside new camera capabilities. According to a report by Android Headlines, the Pixel 10 lineup, which is expected to include the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, will introduce 'heavily upgraded image stabilisation' designed to deliver performance on par with physical gimbals. While previous Pixel models already offered effective stabilisation, this new upgrade aims to offer smoother, shake-free videos, rivalling dedicated camera hardware. Google is reportedly planning to market this enhancement as an 'Action mode', similar to what Apple introduced in recent iPhones. This would likely involve fusing footage from the primary and ultrawide sensors in real time to reduce motion blur and jitters. If accurate, this feature could make the Pixel 10 a compelling choice for vloggers, travellers, and content creators who record on the move. The Pixel 10 range is expected to debut with Google's upcoming Tensor G5 chipset, offering further AI and camera enhancements. The report also claims the smartphones will be available for pre-order on launch day (20 August), with general availability starting from 28 August. While Google has not officially confirmed the event date, the August timeline would continue the company's recent tradition of late-summer hardware launches. If these reports hold true, the Pixel 10 series could mark a significant leap forward in mobile videography, positioning itself as a top choice for users seeking flagship-level camera performance, particularly in the area of stabilised, high-quality video capture.

Google Pixel 10 Series: Tech Giant Sends Out Invites For Exclusive Preview On June 27; Check Expected Camera And Colour Options
Google Pixel 10 Series Launch: Google is likely to hold a 'special event' for the Pixel 10 series of smartphones, just days after The Android Show and Google I/O 2025, according to media reports. The Pixel 10 lineup is expected to include four devices: the regular Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. During the special event, the tech giant is expected to launch its highly anticipated smartphones on August 13 at a 'Made by Google' event. However, fans won't have to wait long, as the devices are expected to hit stores a week later, on August 20 reportedly. Google Invitation To Superfans Google has sent out invitations to Pixel Superfans to apply for a pre-launch Pixel Penthouse event, scheduled for June 27 in London. The invitation, shared by a publication, reveals that Superfans can apply to win one of 25 slots to attend the 1.5-hour-long event, enabling fans to experience the latest features and upgrades to Android 16 as well. The 1.5-hour session promises attendees hands-on access to unreleased Pixel hardware, Q&A interactions with Google employees, and Pixel-themed goodies reportedly. The last date to apply is June 4, and the winners are scheduled to be announced on June 11, as mentioned in the invite. However, the invitation doesn't confirm which devices will be showcased. Historically, tech giant Google has unveiled its Pixel devices in October. However, it advanced the launch timeline last year for the Pixel 9 series, releasing it in August before Apple unveiled the iPhone 16 series. Google Pixel 10 Series: Expected Chipset And Colour Options Google's upcoming Pixel 10 lineup is expected to be powered by the new Tensor G5 chipset. The standard Pixel 10 is rumored to launch in Blue, Limoncello (Yellow), Iris (Purple), and Obsidian (Black) color options. Meanwhile, the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL may be offered in Green, Sterling (Grey), Porcelain (White), and Obsidian (Black) variants. However, rumors suggest that the Pixel 10 may feature a 48MP wide and a 13MP ultra-wide camera setup—similar to the Google Pixel 9a. This would be a downgrade from the 50MP and 48MP lenses found on the Pixel 9. Moreover, the Google Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL are expected to retain the same 50MP + 48MP + 48MP triple-camera system seen on the current Pixel 9 Pro models.

Google likely to unveil Pixel 10 series at Made by Google event on August 13 or 20
Google Pixel phones are some of the most anticipated devices of the year, and the upcoming Pixel 10 series is no exception. In the last few weeks, some leaks have hinted that Google might launch new phones a few weeks prior, but now leaks claim that the tech giant may have pushed the date back to August. Going by a post by the known tipster Arsene Lupin on X, it looks like Google would be launching the Pixel 10 series at the Made By Google event on August 13, but a new report by Android Headlines on Monday, June 2, claims that these upcoming phones will be unveiled on August 20, with pre-orders starting August 28. Unlike Apple iPhones, which are often announced in the first, second or third week of September, Google is known for shifting the Pixel series launch date forward or backwards by a few months. Back in 2023, the Pixel 8 was officially announced in October, but now it looks like the tech giant will be going back to an August launch. P🔟 August 13 — Arsène Lupin (@MysteryLupin) June 2, 2025 The upcoming Pixel 10 series, which consists of four models – Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel Pro Fold are said to be powered by Google's in-house designed Tensor G5 chipset. Unlike the Tensor G4, which was partly held back by Samsung's foundry, the upcoming chipset is expected to offer more performance and better thermals, thanks to TSMC. Aside from the new and faster chipset, a newly leaked commercial hints that the base model in the Pixel 10 series will now sport a telephoto lens. However, to keep the price of the device in the same line with its predecessor, Google may downgrade the main and ultrawide lenses. Coming to the Pixel 10 Pro and the Pixel 10 Pro XL, leaks suggest that these devices will have the same cameras as their Pixel 9 series counterparts. On the design front, the Pixel 10 series will have the same design language as its predecessor. And with Google announcing numerous AI features at this year's I/O event, we expect to see new generative AI features like Video Generative ML, Speak-to-Tweak, and Sketch-to-Image. Google also recently introduced its official Google Store in India, enabling users to purchase new Pixel devices directly from the source. Like last year, the vanilla Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold are expected to start from Rs 79,990, Rs 99,999 and Rs 1,72,999, respectively. However, Google might bump up the Pixel 10 Pro XL's price by around $100 or Rs 8,500, with the phone now likely to cost from Rs 1,02,200.

Key elements such as the sleek camera module, power button, and volume rocker remain in place, ensuring continuity in design language. However, subtle refinements set the Pixel 10 Pro XL apart. A notable addition is the inclusion of a temperature sensor, which hints at Google's growing interest in integrating health-focused features into its flagship devices. This feature could open the door to new applications, particularly in wellness and fitness tracking. During the commercial shoot, the device was showcased in obsidian black, a timeless and versatile color choice that underscores Google's commitment to simplicity and elegance. This design approach ensures the Pixel 10 Pro XL appeals to users who value both functionality and style. Camera Technology: Advancing Smartphone Photography Google has long been recognized for its leadership in smartphone photography, and the Pixel 10 Pro XL appears poised to build on this reputation. Promotional materials suggest a strong emphasis on advanced camera features, particularly those tailored for group photography. Using Google's expertise in AI-driven image processing, the device is expected to deliver enhanced clarity, composition, and overall image quality. One intriguing rumor is the inclusion of a third camera in the standard Pixel 10 model, signaling a broader push for versatility across the lineup. This pricing strategy suggests Google's intent to balance innovation with accessibility, making sure the lineup appeals to a wide range of consumers. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold, a foldable variant, is rumored to be priced more competitively, potentially making foldable technology more accessible to mainstream users. By lowering the entry barrier for foldable devices, Google could attract consumers who have been hesitant to adopt this emerging technology due to its traditionally high costs. This approach aligns with broader industry trends, as manufacturers strive to make foldable smartphones a viable option for everyday users. By offering a diverse range of devices at varying price points, Google aims to cater to both premium and budget-conscious segments of the market. Expanding Google's Portfolio: A Strategic Move The Pixel 10 Pro XL represents a continuation of Google's efforts to refine its flagship offerings, while the Pixel 10 Pro Fold signals the company's entry into the growing foldable smartphone market. This dual approach allows Google to address the needs of traditional smartphone users while also exploring new opportunities in emerging categories. By focusing on incremental upgrades and strategic pricing, Google positions itself as a key player in the competitive smartphone landscape. Whether through advanced camera technology, improved performance, or the introduction of foldable devices, the Pixel 10 series reflects Google's commitment to delivering value without compromising on quality. What to Expect from the Pixel 10 Pro XL The Pixel 10 Pro XL is shaping up to be a well-rounded flagship that emphasizes camera innovation, performance enhancements, and thoughtful design refinements.
