From serving slices to looks: Pizza Hut Singapore debuts streetwear collection in collab with local brand, Lifestyle News
Pizza Hut Singapore is set to drop its hottest slice yet — and it's not a dish from out of the oven. The restaurant chain has entered new territory following its fashion collaboration with local clothing brand and creative studio Tell Your Children, Pizza Hut Singapore announced on Tuesday (June 17). The streetwear collection, a first from Pizza Hut Singapore, is inspired by pop culture and trending nostalgic design cues. The curated lineup includes a custom edition varsity jacket, graphic tee and illustrated crew socks. Head over to Pizza Hut Singapore's website and app from June 18 at 5pm to purchase these items. Do note that they are for self-collection only, while stocks last. A closer look Much of the lineup's design takes its cue from Pizza Hut's latest sourdough pizzas, as well as being a nod to imperfection. The collection's "perfectly imperfect" designs "mirror our new handcrafted crust variant", said Jayss Rajoo, director of marketing and food innovation at Pizza Hut Singapore, in a statement. The Custom Varsity Jacket ($135) features a bold 'Perfectly imperfect' statement across the back. What makes the jacket a head-turner is the eye-catching contrast sleeves, with one side beige while the other white. The Crew Socks ($15) are intentionally mismatched, making them just as quirky. While one side has pizza slice prints all over, the other displays the collaboration logo. The Graphic Tee ($45) should be a treat if you're looking for some nostalgia. The oversized tee features a funky graphic at the front but the back is where it's at with a homage to Pizza Hut's iconic hotline. While this marks Pizza Hut Singapore's first bite into the streetwear scene, it's not the brand's first experience with fashion. Over in the US, Pizza Hut launched a limited-edition capsule collection back in 2021 with a lineup that featured track suits inspired by its iconic red roof logo. Food and fashion In August 2023, fast-food giant McDonald's announced that it would be dropping a limited-edition McGriddle hoodie. The hoodie comes in a nude shade, with a tiny embroidery of the sandwich at the front and a list of ingredients that goes into making it on the back. To get their hands on the hoodie, customers had to simply order two Breakfast McGriddles Value Meal. With only 200 pieces available, customers were seen queuing as early as 6.22am on launch day in hopes of grabbing this exclusive piece. [[nid:696552]] amierul@

Pizza Hut to release limited edition Cheeseburger Melts-inspired plushies from May 5, Lifestyle News
Collectible plushies are taking the F&B world by storm and Singaporeans are here for it — with recent launches like the Milo plushie and KFC x Mofusand collaborations receiving overwhelming buzz. Now, there's one more to collect as Pizza Hut Singapore is releasing their first-ever collectible plushie — Sir Melts-a-Lot — from May 5 until 18. Inspired by the new Cheeseburger Melts launched earlier this month (April 10), the plushie can be used as a bag accessory and comes with a detachable patty. To get the limited-time plushie, simply top up $6.90 when you order any Cheeseburger Melts ala carte or meal combo. The offer is available for delivery, takeaway or dine-in and while stocks last only. On May 11, Pizza Hut will also be hosting a Pizza Hut x Rurusama Fan Experience with cosplayer and content creator Rurusama. The 10-minute experience will take place at Pizza Hut Nex from 11am to 12pm and 5pm to 6pm — with Rurusama decked out in full Pizza Hut gear. To participate in the experience, purchase a bundle which includes one Sir Melts-a-Lot plushie, one Cheeseburger Melts Combo Meal, a live "cooking" performance and one solo photograph and signed polaroid with Rurusama. The experience is limited to the first 60 fans (30 fans per session) who pre-order and pay. Pre-orders for the Pizza Hut x Rurusama Fan Experience will be available on Pizza Hut Singapore's official website from May 5 and limited to one redemption per unique customer with each bundle purchased. For fans who can't manage to get a slot for the fan experience, there's an alternative bundle — the Rurusama Kitchen Experience — which will take place from 12pm to 2pm and 6pm to 8pm. During this experience, Rurusama will "cook" and pack Sir Melts-a-Lot plushies for takeaway. To take part in this one, just purchase Sir Melts-a-Lot ala carte for $6.90 in-store at Pizza Hut Nex on May 11 during event hours or get a Cheeseburger Melts Combo Meal and Sir Melts-a-Lot for $19.90.
