Former Disney Channel star Ben Savage shares big news with fans

Ben Savage, best known for playing Cory Matthews in 'Boy Meets World,' is sharing some exciting news. On Tuesday, May 20, Savage took to Instagram to reveal the news alongside his wife, Tessa Angermeier. Savage and Angermeier wed in February 2023 after they began dating in 2018, according to People. Now, the couple is preparing to become parents. Alongside a photo of the two of them standing among California's palm trees holding a series of sonogram images, Savage wrote, 'Arriving this fall.' In the comment section, fans congratulated the actor turned politician. 'Baby Meets World,' one commenter wrote. 'FATHER MEETS WORLD,' another added. 'How wonderful!!! Congratulations!!!' shared another fan. Savage often shares photos of himself and Angermeier together on social media. In July 2023, Savage celebrated their marriage with photos from the day, writing, 'Always and forever.' Angermeier was often seen with Savage while on the campaign trail when he ran for Congress in the 2024 election. While Savage has distanced himself from being an actor in pursuit of a career in politics, in February his former 'Boy Meets World' co-stars Will Friedle, Danielle Fishel and Rider Strong said Savage 'ghosted' them following a conversation in 2020. Despite sharing a photo of Savage holding Fishel's newborn son in 2019, during an episode of the podcast they co-host, 'Pod Meets World,' the three actors said something changed for Savage all of a sudden. 'He disappeared — I wish I knew why, to this day,' Friedle added. 'We didn't have a fight. There's no falling out. There was no animosity. He just woke up one day, and decided: I don't want this person in my life anymore.' 'I finally sent a text saying: 'I've known you for 30 years, what's going on?' I said: 'I'm gonna call you every day until you tell me not to call you anymore.' That lasted about three weeks or a month, every single day,' Friedle continued talking about his quest for answers.

Boy Meets World's Will Friedle To Be A Grandfather

Will Friedle has revealed that he is going to be a grandfather, and I am officially feeling old. For reference, Will was just 17 years old when he shot to global fame as Eric Matthews in the '90s sitcom Boy Meets World, which ran until 2000. Since then, Will has enjoyed an incredibly successful voice acting career, and in 2022, he and his former co-stars Danielle Fishel and Rider Strong launched their rewatch podcast, Pod Meets World. And it was on Monday's episode of the pod that Will, now 48, shared his exciting personal news, where he admitted that he can't wait to be a 'poppy.' If you have ever listened to the podcast, then you might be a little confused, as Will has always been very vocal about his decision to remain child-free, and often comments on how glad he is to not have kids when Rider and Danielle talk about their parenting experiences. However, Will is a stepfather to his wife Susan's daughter, Lexi, who was already 21 years old when he and Susan first started dating. Will and Susan, 51, married in 2016, and Lexi is now 35 years Meets World stage manager and director Lynn McCracken was Pod Meets World's guest on Monday, and toward the end of the interview, she reflected on how her career was impacted when she had children.'Y'all make it sound so wonderful!' Will joked as Danielle and Rider agreed with Lynn about the struggle of balancing work and children. Lynn then said: 'Will, I'm sorry!''Are you kidding?!' Will quipped. 'I'm sorry for y'all, I'm good!' 'Will's about to be a grandfather,' Danielle then revealed, with Lynn unable to hide her shock as she repeatedly exclaimed: 'What?!' 'I'm about to be a grandfather, actually,' Will confirmed. 'Yeah, my stepdaughter's about to have my first grandchild, so I'm very happy. I'm 'bout to be a poppy!' 'Oh my god!' Lynn reacted, with Danielle adding: 'It's going to be fun, I can't wait.''It's gonna be great,' Will agreed. 'I can't either!' Will's news comes shortly after he left Danielle and Rider speechless when he admitted that he doesn't mark Mother's Day with Susan in any capacity, despite her being a mom. Will became noticeably flustered when both of his cohosts told him that he should be honoring his wife on this day, with the star admitting that he 'probably' didn't even tell her 'Happy Mother's Day' earlier this month. 'I've never thought about it!' Will sheepishly confessed. 'Where it's like… It's Mother's… Lexi's 35! I wish my mom a happy Mother's Day, send flowers or do something, but I worship my wife every other day — I don't worship her any differently on Mother's Day!Rider and Danielle's reactions appeared to strike a chord with Will, and he ended up realizing: 'I'm going to have to celebrate Sue, I owe her retroactively. I owe her a bunch of Mother's Day stuff!' Huge congratulations to Will and Susan on their upcoming new arrival!

William Daniels' Wife Bonnie Says He ‘Misses' Getting to Work with His 'Boy Meets World' Costars: ‘He Adores Them All' (Exclusive)

William Daniels and wife Bonnie Bartlett Daniels reflected on their long careers in exclusive interview with PEOPLE Bonnie says William particularly "misses" working with his former Boy Meets World costars William portrayed teacher and neighbor Mr. Feeny in the '90s coming-of-age series, while Bonnie appeared in five episodes as Dean Lila Bolander, Mr. Feeny's eventual wifeWilliam Daniels is nostalgic for his time on Boy Meets World. The actor — who turned 98 on March 31 — sat down for an exclusive interview with PEOPLE alongside his wife, Bonnie Bartlett Daniels, and reflected on his years starring as the ever-wise teacher Mr. Feeny on the popular '90s coming-of-age series. Bonnie, 95 — who appeared in five episodes of the ABC show, playing Dean Lila Bolander, Mr. Feeny's eventual wife — says her husband "misses" working and hanging out on set with his former costars. Boy Meets World's main cast included Ben Savage, who portrayed Cory Matthews, Mr. Feeny's student and next-door neighbor; Will Friedle (Cory's brother Eric); and Rider Strong and Danielle Fishel (Cory's friends). "Bill adores them all. He really does," Bonnie says. "He misses that experience with them," she continues, explaining, "He likes to be part of a group. That's what really keeps you going — community." Bonnie tells PEOPLE the pair have had a chance to reunite with some of the cast for appearances on the Pod Meets World podcast, hosted by Friedle, Strong and Fishel, including a July 2022 episode. In a description for the episode, the hosts wrote: "F-f-feeny is here!!!! … The tears are flowing and there are plenty of laughs as they honor their teacher from Boy Meets World and IRL. The bond the show created for them is unbreakable for life." William also returned to the podcast in December 2024 to read The Night Before Christmas, and Bonnie recently appeared solo on the April 28 episode. Last year, William shared a post on X featuring a photo of himself and Bonnie posing with Friedle, Strong and Fishel, presumably amid a podcast taping. A second snapshot showed him smiling alongside Fishel. He captioned the post — which garnered 3.2 million likes, a testament to the show's enduring popularity — "Just a little reunion with my favorite students!!" Last March, William made an appearance at 90s Con, where he received a standing ovation alongside the rest of the Boy Meets World cast. Bonnie tells PEOPLE that the couple also stay connected with the show's legions of fans by doing Cameos, which their son Michael films for them. Not surprisingly, many people make requests for William to give advice å la Mr. Feeny by answering their pressing questions. "Some of the answers are tough because a lot of people are depressed. They want Mr. Feeny to give them some advice or cheer them up. And Bill and Mike figure it out, do it," Bonnie says. Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. "Sometimes they want something from 1776, and that's fun," she adds, referring to the 1972 movie adaptation of the Broadway musical in which William played John Adams. "So he'll give them a line or two from 1776, and people love that." Reflecting on his decades-long career and many acting roles, William tells PEOPLE he's "pleased" that fans still appreciate and watch his work. "Well, you have to be pleased, and I certainly am," he says. "And I hope I'm around a little longer, and we'll do it again next year." Read the original article on People

Will Friedle Doesn't Celebrate Mother's Day With Wife

As you probably know, it was Mother's Day on Sunday, a day when people everywhere express their gratitude and appreciation for the moms in their lives. However, Boy Meets World star Will Friedle left his podcast cohosts absolutely speechless when he admitted that he doesn't mark Mother's Day with his wife, Susan, who is a mom of one. For reference, Will, 48, married Susan in 2016, and while they have no children together, he is stepfather to her daughter, Lexi, who was 21 years old when he and Susan first started dating. During Monday's episode of his podcast, Pod Meets World, Will's cohost Danielle Fishel brought up Mother's Day — and he became noticeably flustered when both Danielle and cohost Rider Strong told him that he should be honoring his wife. 'Wait, did I have to get stuff for Sue every… I don't get stuff for Sue on Mother's Day, am I supposed to?' Will began, and when Rider asked if he at least says 'Happy Mother's Day,' Will confessed: 'Probably not? I don't know!''Wow,' Rider replied, with Danielle exclaiming: 'Will! Did you not say 'Happy Mother's Day' today? Do you celebrate the holiday for her at all?!''I say it to my mom,' Will repeated, while Rider told him: 'You should acknowledge it.' Will argued that Susan's daughter is 35 years old now, and when Danielle retorted: 'It doesn't matter, she's still a mother,' Will wearily replied: 'I know, I never think about it, I guess.' 'You guys don't do anything?' Danielle asked, audibly still stunned. 'Does Susan spend every Mother's Day with Lexi?'Will said that she didn't, and Danielle, who has two sons with her husband Jensen Karp, followed up: 'OK, let's say they're not spending it together, what do you do for your wife, Susan, for Mother's Day?''I let her cook me my favorite meal,' Will joked, quickly adding: 'I'm kidding!'But Danielle and Rider still couldn't wrap their heads around the fact that he doesn't acknowledge Mother's Day at all with Susan, with Danielle warning: 'Will, if this is not a bit…''I've never thought about it!' Will insisted, becoming more and more flustered. 'Where it's like… It's Mother's… Lexi's 35! I wish my mom a happy Mother's Day, send flowers or do something, but I worship my wife every other day — I don't worship her any differently on Mother's Day!" Rider, who has a 9-year-old son with his wife, Alex, explained: 'Mother's Day changes meaning, because it used to just be a time for me to call my mom, and it became a time for me to call my mom but also acknowledge my wife.' 'But that makes more sense, you've got a little kid, you live together with the kid — by the time I met Lexi she was already 21,' Will reasoned, but Rider argued: 'Right, but it's about her identity as a mother, it's not about my relationship to her being a mother. It's just about celebrating motherhood.' Rider and Danielle's reactions appeared to strike a chord with Will, and he ended up saying: 'I'm going to have to celebrate Sue, I owe her retroactively. I owe her a bunch of Mother's Day stuff!''You do, you owe her a whole bunch of nice little things,' Danielle agreed, prompting Will to plead: 'I give her nice little things all the time! I enjoy giving her nice things, like, worshipping her on just a regular Wednesday. I like to be like: 'Hey, babe, this is for you because you're awesome,' as opposed to: 'This is the day I'm supposed to do this.''And when Danielle related this theory to Valentine's Day, Will said that he and Susan 'never celebrate Valentine's Day." I'm genuinely curious to know what you make of Will not celebrating his wife on Mother's Day — let me know in the comments below!

Bonnie Bartlett Remembers Working on Little House on the Prairie: "The Best Time of My Life

At 95, Bonnie Bartlett is looking back on her career in television with warmth—and one of the most beloved periods of her work. On the April 28 edition of the Pod Meets World podcast, the longtime actress shared about working on the iconic show Little House on the Prairie and how that gig materialized following a deliberate hiatus from acting. Bartlett, who has been married to fellow actor William Daniels—widely known as Mr. Feeny from Boy Meets World—since 1951, shared with podcast hosts Will Friedle, Danielle Fishel, and Rider Strong how she balances career and motherhood. Prior to joining Little House in 1974 as Grace Snider Edwards, Bartlett had stepped away from Hollywood for a time to raise the couple's two sons, Michael and Robert. "I didn't work because I had the two little boys," she remembered happily, adding that she did some theater now and then during those years. "That was the best time of my life." When the family moved to California, Daniels was working regularly in television, and his agent urged Bartlett to audition once more. One of those auditions took her directly to Little House on the Prairie—and to Michael Landon . "His agent sent me over to Michael [Landon], and he said, it's just a general appointment," she said. "But as it turned out, he hired me that day." Landon, who played Pa Ingalls and served as executive producer and director of the series, instantly saw potential in Bartlett. 'He met me and he said, 'I've got a part for you,'' she said. Within days, she was on set filming her first episodes as Grace, a character she would portray across 26 episodes of the iconic family drama. Bartlett's career later led her to Boy Meets World , where she again co-starred with her husband on screen as Dean Lila Bolander, Mr. Feeny's love interest. But it's apparent that Little House on the Prairie means a very special spot in her heart—not even so much for the role, but for the timing of her life. For Bartlett, it wasn't about going back to work—it was about returning to her passion after giving her heart completely to family. And with decades of experience under her belt, she remains a gracious reminder of how a career can develop with love, patience, and a timely opportunity.
