Newport County beat Undy 1-0 thanks to Glennon header

The Exiles started pre-season with a 1-1 draw at Pontypridd United after a clanger by Jacob Carney and they followed that up with a single-goal success at their Ardal South East hosts. Anthony Glennon headed the only goal of the game from summer signing Lee Jenkins' cross in the second half. The Exiles get the real stuff under way on Tuesday, July 29 when they head to Barnet in the preliminary round of the Carabao Cup before a Rodney Parade opener against Notts County in League Two the following Saturday.
