New Delhi / Jaipur, June 3 (UNI) Dr Satish Poonia, former state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Rajasthan, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Tuesday. Dr Poonia paid a courtesy visit to Modi at Prime Minister's New Delhi residence. Dr Poonia expressed gratitude and congratulated the Prime Minister on the historic success of Operation Sindoor by the Indian Army against terrorists by presenting a statue of 'Hoda Ambabari' made of Kadamba wood, a unique handicraft art of Rajasthan, and a Pattu (shawl) made of Barmer handicraft. He said that meeting Modi always gives new energy, his resolution of developed India 2047 and the resolution of making a self-reliant India gives guidance for the upliftment of the state and the country, a common worker born in a farmer family like us gets inspiration from Narendra Modi to work continuously for the state and the nation, which gives new energy to work towards development and strengthening of the organisation with commitment. During his visit, Dr Poonia took guidance on important topics like development of Rajasthan and Haryana and organizational strength. So, the need of the hour becomes a lifestyle change, incorporating physical activity and checking the surplus calorie consumption of the body. Amidst this, Simran Poonia, a health and beauty influencer, has been providing ample amount of inspiration to her fans with her drastic weight loss journey. Simran Poonia, who once weighed 130 kg, embarked on a significant weight loss journey, and keeps sharing powerful messages alongside sneak peeks into her transformation. Recently, in a heartfelt conversation with the Humans of Bombay, the health influencer revealed, 'I weighed 130 kgs. There was a time I stopped going to school. Not because I was lazy, but because I was too ashamed to wear a half-sleeve kurta. There was a time I faked fevers and headaches just so I wouldn't have to step out of the house." In a collaborative video posted on Instagram, she continued, 'There was a time where I tried to take my life, just because I couldn't handle it anymore. Growing up, I was a fat kid. I was mocked, stared at, and made fun of. Around the same time, I developed a skin infection and my weight hiked to 130 kg. That wasn't the end, I also got addicted to nicotine. I cried everyday, I hated my life." Interestingly, the turning point in Poonia's life came after she found herself struggling to climb stairs in Bali. 'But in 2020, something shifted. On a trip to Bali, when I couldn't climb a flight of stairs, I realised something needed to change," she stated. Afterwards, the beauty blogger went on to explain what all she did to lose weight from 130 kg. It involved her quitting sugar and smoking, and began working on her body. She incorporated daily walks into her lifestyle, which further boosted her confidence while helping her in the weight loss transformation. 'I didn't hide myself anymore. I started going on walks with my nanu, and slowly, I began falling in love with myself," she added. According to a report by ETimes, she initially walked 700 meters before getting exhausted and gradually made progress. Additionally, she focused on cardio, running and jogging, to efficiently achieve progress in her weight loss journey. At the end of the video, she gave a powerful message to her viewers and fans alike. 'I've still not healed completely. There are days when everything feels wrong, and some when listening to a song makes me the happiest! But I know this, the comeback is always stronger that the setback.
