Singer Vehicle Design Debuts Reimagined Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe
Fifteen years ago, former rock star Rob Dickinson launched Singer Vehicle Design to fulfill his dream of modifying a specific era of Porsche models in his image of perfection. Now the Executive Chairman and Creative Director of Singer, Dickinson and his talented team has launched a gorgeous reimagined Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe, and it's as stunning as the rest of Singer's projects. In the 1980's, one could order a new 911 Carrera with the bodywork of the Turbo but powered by the company's naturally aspirated flat six, Dickinson explains, and that became known as the Carrera with Super Sport Equipment. Singer built this restoration to celebrate that era with a modernized version of the a naturally aspirated G model 911. The G model Porsche 911 was manufactured between 1974 and 1989 and was the first generation to include both naturally aspirated and turbocharged cars. 'At its heart is a remarkable flat-six, bringing together our learnings from the last fifteen years, and adding variable valve timing for the first time,' Dickinson says. Singer allows owners to personalize their car's interiors according to their personal preferences. The customer chooses the materials and the paint, along with the type of seats they want. Stitched, burnished leather is expertly integrated into a comfortable cabin, and technology is wielded with a light touch to avoid going too far beyond the aesthetic. Even the dashboard is reimagined, and Singer integrates its luxury watchmaking experience into its designs. Typically, an owner of a Porsche 911 (Type 964) sends their car to Singer for custom restoration. Porsche built the cars more than 30 years ago, and like any classic car they require a gentle and precise touch. First, the car is disassembled lovingly, as the bodywork, mechanical components, and interior are all removed. Once the 911 is down to the chassis, Singer examines it carefully and readies it for its makeover. Working with Red Bull Advanced Technologies, the high-performance engineering arm of Red Bull Racing Group, Singer strengthens the chassis of the Type 964 monocoque. Then the team gets to work reassembling it in Dickinson's – and the customer's – master vision. Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Reimagined by Singer Singer The 911 Carrera Coupe Reimagined by Singer starts with the Type 964's 4.0-liter flat-six engine and the team works with Cosworth to perfect the variable valve timing, combustion chamber design and intake and exhaust path for each customer. For this project, the engine is the first naturally aspirated engine that employs water-cooled cylinder heads combined with air-cooled cylinders. All in, the 911 develops 420 hp and the engine revs to 8,000 rpm+. Per the customer's preference, a six-speed manual gearbox driving power to the rear wheels is an option, along with an exposed shift mechanism. This dragon breaths fire through its titanium exhaust system for a symphony that is uniquely sonorous. Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Reimagined by Singer Singer Typically, Singer projects start at $875,000 and up. Only 100 examples of the Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Reimagined by Singer will be built with or without the iconic Singer whale tail rear wing, and will become collector items meant to be seen, felt, and heard.

Porsche Raises Delivery Fees and Prices on Most 911 Models
With tariffs on the way, it'll hardly shock anyone to hear that a global automaker like Porsche is raising prices right as its 2026 models become available to order. The end result is a 911 that costs several thousand dollars more than it did last year. View the 2 images of this gallery on the original article The 911 that saw the biggest price increase from last year is also, perhaps not coincidentally, where customers are likely to feel it the most: the base 2026 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe. That car started at $122,095 last year, but today it'll set you back $129,950, a price hike of nearly $8,000. No less offensive is the addition of nearly the same $8,000 to the 2026 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet. Ordering today will cost $143,150 as opposed to the $135,395 Porsche charged for a 2025 model year car. While perhaps less egregious, we doubt anyone will be happy to know that Carrera T and all GTS models see a smaller increase—around $5,000—and Carrera S and GT3/GT3 Touring prices reflect changes of less than $1,000. Even outside the immediate 911 family, though, customers will be paying more for their Porsche Panamera, Taycan, gas Macan, and Cayenne models than last year. Prices escalate across the brand, largely due to the increased delivery fee. Porsche's "Delivery, Processing, and Handling Fee" increases to $2,250 for the 2026 model year vehicles compared to last year's $1,995. Porsche doesn't necessarily charge you for nothing. While changes are minimal, there are some concessions that might help buyers bridge the lengthy price gap. The standard 911 Carrera gets the Leather Package as standard, which was formerly a $2,840 option. New Paint to Sample color and decal options offer more customizability, too. Finally, there are minor updates to the 992.2 just a year after the model's comprehensive refresh, including a newly improved infotainment system with Amazon Alexa integration, extended third-party app support, and Dolby Atmos capability for the Bose and Burmester premium sound systems is included, too. While we're not sure we would've independently noticed those somewhat minute additions, it's good to see your money going somewhere. Another year, another price increase. Sadly, it's the way of the world these days, and Porsche isn't immune. More concerning is how this affects people with orders in the pipeline—especially as the storm clouds of 25 percent tariffs loom in the not-so-distant future. When the 992 generation 911 debuted as a 2020 model year car, it was priced at $98,750. It's not often you see an MSRP spread of over 30 percent across one generation, and it's an odd crown to wear, but we suspect the 992 911 has a serious claim to the throne.

Porsche 911 Prices Climb for 2026 Model Year, Base Carrera Now $129,950
"Hearst Magazines and Yahoo may earn commission or revenue on some items through these links." The Porsche 911 is, arguably, the benchmark for modern sports cars. The iconic machine's specific combination of performance, usability and reliability means the 911 retains its value better than any other vehicle in the market. The bad news? Getting behind the wheel of a new one continues to grow more expensive with every passing year. With newly-announced 25% tariffs on imported cars looming, it's not unexpected that Porsche models would see prices rise. However, the most recent increase doesn't appear to be related to the tariffs at all. As users of the popular Porsche enthusiast site Rennlist noted on Wednesday, Porsche's 911 configurator has been updated to show the 2026 models — and the update included significant price hikes for most 992.2-generation models, as well as an increase in delivery, processing and handling fee from $1995 to $2250 on all 2026 911s. The result: a "basic" 2026 911 Carrera that now starts at $129,950, including delivery — a nearly 6.5% increase over the 2025 car's base of $122,095. Most of the 2026 911 range saw similar increases, the exceptions being the most recently revealed 992.2 models, the 911 Carrera S and the 911 GT3 and GT3 Touring. Of course, the GT3 models already saw a serious price increase when they moved to the 992.2 platform. So, what do you get for the extra coin? Not a whole lot. The cars are basically the same, but there are some minor trim updates. For example, for the 2025 model year the Preparation for Roof Transport System was a $60 option; it's now standard on 911 coupes. There are also some changes around how the leather options are configured. In 2025, the Basalt Black/Classic Cognac leather option on the base Carrera was $7000, but it required the Extended Door Panel in Leather option for $1900. For 2026, the Cognac leather is $7480, but it includes the extended leather option, making it effectively $1420 cheaper. Regardless, there's no denying the fact that the Porsche 911 is getting more and more expensive — and forthcoming tariffs may only exacerbate the situation. If you have a 911 on order, it may be worth reaching out to your dealer and confirming if you're price-protected, or if you'll have to pay the higher amount. Porsche has also updated their website for the 2026 Taycan, Panamera, Macan (gasoline) and Cayenne models. Prices increase on many of those models as well, but not as significantly as what we saw on the 911. We've included the updated Porsche 911 price list for 992.2-gen models compared to the 2025 prices below. 2026 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe - $129,950 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe - $122,095 2026 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet - $143,150 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet - $135,395 2026 Porsche 911 Carrera T Coupe - $140,950 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera T Coupe - $135,995 2026 Porsche 911 Carrera T Cabriolet - $154,150 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera T Cabriolet - $149,295 2026 Porsche 911 Carrera S Coupe - $148,650 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera S Coupe - $148,395 2026 Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet - $161,850 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet - $161,595 2026 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Coupe - $172,050 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Coupe - $166,895 2026 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS Coupe - $179,850 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS Coupe - $174,695 2026 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet - $185,250 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet - $180,195 2026 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet - $193,050 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet - $187,995 2026 Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS - $193,050 2025 Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS - $187,995 2026 Porsche 911 GT3 / GT3 Touring - $224,750 2025 Porsche 911 GT3 / GT3 Touring - $224,495 You Might Also Like You Need a Torque Wrench in Your Toolbox Tested: Best Car Interior Cleaners The Man Who Signs Every Car
