Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis Set to Make Their First Summer 2025 Appearance
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. June is here, and that means an action-packed season of royal events ahead. From parades and military flypasts to horse racing, Wimbledon and garden parties, the Royal Family will be keeping plenty busy this summer. And following their adorable appearance at an 80th anniversary VE Day parade last month, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are gearing up for their biggest public event of the season. On Saturday, June 14, members of the Royal Family will gather for The King's annual birthday parade, Trooping the Colour—the most high-profile appearance for the Wales children each year. George, 11, Charlotte, 10, and Louis, 7, made their Trooping debut during Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee in 2022, and each year have joined their mom, Princess Kate, for a carriage ride through the streets of London. The trio then gathers with Prince William, Princess Kate, King Charles, Queen Camilla and other family members for a balcony appearance, where they watch an exciting display of military aircraft flying over Buckingham Palace. Prince Louis has been known for his cheeky antics on the balcony each year, and in 2024, he also showed the crowd his dance moves. Last year, Trooping the Colour marked the Princess of Wales's first public appearance of 2024 as she recovered from cancer. Dressed in coordinating navy and white outfits, the family gathered with King Charles, Queen Camilla, Duchess Sophie, Prince Edward, Lady Louise, Princess Anne and other extended family members for the first time in public since Christmas 2023. In May, the Wales children attended a very different parade and flypast as they marked the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe. Although the trio didn't join their parents for the other VE Day events, Prince George did get to make a special solo visit with Prince William and Princess Kate to meet veterans at a palace tea party—and get a taste of his life as the future King. Along with Trooping—and maybe a trip to Wimbledon—the Wales kids will enjoy summer out of the spotlight during their annual vacation to Balmoral. And now that there are new puppies in their household, plenty of walks at their country house, Anmer Hall, are most likely high on their summer schedule.

Prince William reveals Prince Louis, seven, had hilarious reaction to classic dilemma
Prince Louis supports about 'five different football teams', Prince William claimed today. The Prince of Wales, 42, was visiting the Leith Community Centre, Edinburgh, this afternoon to shine a light on the power of community-led social impact. There, William viewed a martial arts class and spoke with young guests Erin, nine, and Shaniah, 10, at the Edinburgh YMCA Youth Forum. During their conversation, Erin gifted him a poster of his beloved football team Aston Villa, with which William was delighted. But despite William's known fierce passion for Aston Villa, it appears his youngest son has more complicated thoughts on the matter. When Erin explained that she supports two teams, William joked that his son Prince Louis, seven, is torn between 'about five different football teams'. This is despite his older brother Prince George clearly following in his father's footsteps, after they watched Aston Villa play in the Champion's League last month. Louis, however, is clearly wary of placing all his eggs in one basket. William and Kate's youngest son has become known for his cheeky antics, most recently putting on an entertaining display during VE Day celebrations earlier this month. As he sat down next to his father, who donned his military uniform, cheeky Louis turned to William and began to brush down the shoulder of his military jacket. The young royal, sat alongside his parents and his older siblings Charlotte and George ahead of the parade held on Bank Holiday Monday. And in typical Louis fashion, he also playfully stuck out his tongue while waiting for the action to begin. At one point, he even appeared to roll his eyes at his older brother George. Elsewhere during his visit today, William couldn't resist having a kickabout with a football. Looking dapper in a navy suit teamed with a brighter shirt underneath, William opted for simple black trainers as he showed off his sporting skills. The Prince of Wales was looking dapper in a navy suit teamed with a brighter shirt underneath Ahead of the visit, William and Kate's Royal Foundation has announced a new community impact partnership with Street Soccer Scotland, based at the youth centre. The collaboration aims to foster health and wellbeing, reduce isolation, and strengthen social connections for thousands of local people of all ages through the power of football. William, known as the Duke of Rothesay when visiting Scotland, had landed at Edinburgh Airport this afternoon. He smiled and waved to well-wishers as he arrived for the visit, appearing in great spirits just a day after attending a garden party at Buckingham Palace with his wife the Princess of Wales - her first appearance at the event in two years. After being welcomed in, William spoke with Street Soccer Scotland founder and CEO, David Duke. He then showed off his football skills in a kickabout, neatly aiming it into the goal - although it did take him a second attempt. Yesterday, the Prince and Princess of Wales met the parents of Liz Hatton, the teenage photographer who captured the hearts of the nation with her brave cancer fight. Kate, 43, re-wore her lemon yellow dress by Emilia Wickstead and a hat by Phillip Treacy as she stood on the terrace for the National Anthem in the grounds of Buckingham Palace, while the Prince of Wales wore a morning suit. Liz's parents Vicky and Aaron, along with her brother Mateo, nine, had an emotional chat with the royals at the garden party to honour the memory of their daughter. When Kate spotted Liz's mother they embraced with a warm hug. Her parents said meeting Prince and Princess changed her and their family's life positively forever. The Prince and Princess, who were joined by Zara Tindall and Princess Eugenie, and Sophie and Edward, Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, had met Liz just months before her passing, when they were introduced at Windsor Castle during an emotional moment that left a lasting impact on the royal couple. Also at today's garden party was Tony Hudgell, the double amputee from Kent who missed the King's garden party last year due to a traffic jam. This time, Tony made it in plenty of time and was warmly welcomed by Queen Camilla at a private gathering. Liz, 17, from Harrogate, won the admiration of the public with her determination to live life to the fullest despite being diagnosed with her incurable illness. Kate and William were handed Jelly Cat plush toys - a lemon pie and pickled onion - by Liz's family during their meeting. Liz used to give the toys to people that made her happy. 'They match my dress,' Kate said. She told Mateo, 'If you need any help fundraising maybe I can help up.' 'Please stay in touch, really.' Liz's mother said: 'You changed her life for the better, you changed ours too because our memories are all positive.' William said of the toys: 'My children will love these. They are children's currency.' Kate said: 'It matches my dress, how did you know? We talked about it. When I see the fish and chips Jellycat, I think of her. William also chatted to a delighted Tony Hudgell, 10, who had been forced to miss last year's garden party after getting stuck in traffic. The double amputee from Kent looked delighted as he shook hands with Prince William, after being warmly welcomed by Queen Camilla at a private gathering. William even joked that he had chosen a better year because it was raining when he was due to attend previously. Tony, who was attending with his proud mother Paula, appeared deep in conversation with the Prince of Wales, with whom he has developed a close friendship. He is also known to be close with the Princess of Wales, and has even called her his 'best friend' in the past. Brave Tony, who co-founded the Tony Hudgell Foundation, was the youngest-ever recipient of a New Year Honour in December when he was awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) for services to the prevention of child abuse.

Prince Louis ‘supports five football teams', reveals Prince of Wales
Prince Louis claims to support five different football teams, the Prince of Wales has revealed. Prince William, who is known as the Duke of Rothesay in Scotland, an avid Aston Villa supporter, was in Leith, Scotland, to launch a project that will use the power of football to reduce social isolation. When ten-year-old Shaniah presented him with a homemade Aston Villa poster and told him she supported two teams, he replied: 'My youngest at the moment says he supports five different football teams.' The Duke has often taken Prince George, 11, to watch Aston Villa, with both father and son often sporting matching Villa scarves. But it seems Prince Louis, seven, might plough his own furrow by choosing to support a different team – when he decides where his allegiances lie. The Duke was greeted with huge cheers as he arrived at Leith Community Centre, where he could not resist showing off his own football skills by taking part in a penalty shoot out. He was disappointed when the goalie saved his first shot but to his clear relief, managed to score on his second attempt, prompting loud cheers. The Duke held up his hands in mock surprise as he said: 'That's it, I'm done now.' In another room, he watched a group of flamenco dancers, artists and a group performing Kung Fu. The Duke spent several minutes admiring the 'brilliant' artwork completed by those who use the centre, saying he was 'very impressed'. 'Wow, look at this,' he said. Turning to David Martin, 76, he said: 'No, this is something you made earlier. You didn't paint that? It's brilliant. You're a professional artist.' Asked later what it was like to meet the Duke, Mr Martin said: 'Absolutely magic, he is so casual. Just a cool guy.' He then spoke to David's wife, Eileen, who showed the royal visitor her landscapes. 'It's brilliant, you capture the sky fantastically,' he told her. 'I love landscapes, there is so much more colour and movement in them. I'm very impressed.' William then chatted extensively to Gay Ellvers about her portraits. Picking up a portrait to take a closer look, he said: 'You should be selling these guys, these are incredible. You're so talented.' Told it had taken 'about a week' to complete, he replied: 'No way,' he replied. 'I'm blown away.' Picking up one piece, he said: 'That's amazing, honestly you should be selling these, guys, it's incredible, you're so talented.' One young girl gave the Prince a picture she had made adorned with the words ' Aston Villa ', prompting him to say of the team's upcoming clash against Manchester United: 'We've got a big match on Sunday.' The Duke also met a group from Edinburgh YMCA's Youth Forum, where he was introduced to Erin, nine, and Shaniah, who told him they had held a youth forum at Edinburgh City Council Chambers to discuss their concerns about the block of flats where they live. Shaniah said they had told the council they were too frightened to use the lifts, have mould in their homes and are kept awake by anti-social behaviour that scares them. 'Did you have to speak in front of people?' the Duke asked her. 'Wow, it's not easy standing up and speaking. It takes a lot of courage, well done.' He told the girls to keep it up. 'If you guys keep raising it then they can't ignore it,' he said. The Royal Foundation has joined forces with Street Soccer Scotland to fund a project that will renovate and enhance Leith Community Centre. It is just the latest in a string of initiatives backed by the Prince and Princess of Wales's foundation as part of its Community Impact programme, created in order to fulfil the couple's desire to create 'lasting impact and legacy' in communities across the UK. Last month, the Prince and Princess announced during a visit to Mull that they had funded the refurbishment of a community hall and a new soft play area for young children. The Prince hopes that the collaboration with Street Soccer Scotland and other local partners, including Leith Community Centre and YMCA Edinburgh, will create a 'blueprint' for similar initiatives that can be replicated up and down the country. The coalition, called Leith United, aims to set a framework for sustainable funding for community spaces and initiatives that others can use and learn from. The Prince spoke late last year about his more modern approach to royal duties, which he said had 'a smaller R in the royal'. 'It's more about impact, philanthropy, collaboration, convening, and helping people,' he said during a visit to Cape Town in November. Street Soccer Scotland provides free football-themed training and personal development programmes for socially disadvantaged adults and young people across Scotland. The charity will use the grant from the Royal Foundation to renovate Leith Community Centre, enhance existing sports-based initiatives and enable support for locals experiencing social challenges. It will also recruit an employee to further the impact of the Leith United coalition. The community centre offers language, dance and art classes, history groups, martial arts, and a variety of youth clubs and family crafts.

Prince William and Princess Kate's Parenting Decisions With Louis and Charlotte are 'Absolutely Critical' to the Crown
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis largely stay out of the spotlight, but they delighted royal fans with an appearance at the VE Day 80th anniversary parade on Monday, May 5. Prince Louis showed off his usual cheeky antics, Prince George got a taste of his role as future King and Princess Charlotte looked perfectly composed and regal, as usual, at the event. But when it comes to the future of the monarchy, royal sources have said that it's Louis and Charlotte who hold the key to Prince William and Princess Kate "getting the family right." The three Wales children have been raised in relative privacy throughout their young lives, with George, 11, Charlotte, 10, and Louis, 7, joining their parents for just a few royal appearances each year. While Prince George is destined to be the future King, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis have more undefined paths ahead of them as royal "spares." A royal insider told People that the Prince and Princess of Wales are trying to "strike a balance between private life and duty" with Princess Charlotte, who turned 10 on May 2. "William and Kate must be acutely aware of the problems for a royal spare," royal expert Jennie Bond recently told the Mirror. However, she noted the couple has "already shown that they have a different and modern attitude to bringing up royal children." Speaking to People, royal biographer Robert Hardman agreed, noting, "The late Queen was always very conscious of that extraordinary and challenging role of the No. 2. That's why she had a particular soft spot for [her sister] Margaret, for [her son] Andrew and Harry. She understood being second place in a strictly hierarchical family and institution has its challenges. Everyone is conscious of that." Choosing to move their family to Windsor, instead of living at Kensington Palace in London, was one major move that allowed Prince William and Princess Kate to raise their kids in a more "normal" environment. Like Princess Diana, the Prince and Princess of Wales stress the importance of giving their children experiences like other kids their age, whether it's bringing them to local shops, attending their soccer matches or taking family vacations. Hardman said that the Prince of Wales puts a lot of value in making "the whole royal existence approachable and not scary for all his children." This means slowly introducing George, Charlotte and Louis to events, like on Monday, when Prince George attended a tea party for World War II veterans with his parents. While Charlotte and Louis will likely take on full-time royal roles like Queen Elizabeth's younger children, William and Kate are careful to make sure their kids grow up feeling supported and just as important as big brother George. "Getting the family right is absolutely critical, particularly in terms of what the nation expects of them," a family friend told People.

Princess Charlotte maintaining perfect posture while her family all reacted to King Charles III's birthday parade has caught attention on social media. The princess, who turned ten this month, was on the Buckingham Palace balcony alongside her brothers, Prince George and Prince Louis, and mother Princess Kate. And while the rest of the family all leaned over to try to catch a glimpse of the parade for VE Day on May 5, Charlotte remained completely restrained. Neil Mockford/GC Images A TikTok video of the moment went viral after it was viewed 682,000 times and liked 75,000 times, having been posted with the message: "Charlotte's Straightness 🤭❤️🔥." What to Know The royals gathered to watch a military procession marking the 80th anniversary of the Allies' Victory in Europe over the Nazis. The procession showcased ceremonial traditions of the British military, including displays by Regiments of the Household Division and Kings Troop Royal Horse Artillery. For some royal watchers, Prince Louis stole the show, copying Prince George and giving an exaggerated eye roll in another heart-warming moment. However, fans of Princess Charlotte still enjoyed her poise on the palace balcony. It was a big day for Prince George too as he got to meet veterans from Normandy and other survivors of World War II during a rare royal engagement. Prince William and Kate took him around tables during the Buckingham Palace reception so he could speak to guests. What People Are Saying One fan replied to the TikTok post: "I don't know what her parents told her so she would be like this but her aura really makes me think that she should become queen, she has everything for her." Another wrote: "Princess Charlotte = princess Diana+ queen Elizabeth II (Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana)." And a third wrote: "Hmmm but its kinda sad isn't it? She is like the next Princess Anne, she is more mature then her brother since she was really young, no matter how hard u work, the one who will be throne is her brother." What Happens Next The royals will next be out in force on the Buckingham Palace balcony for King Charles III's birthday parade on June 14, though exact attendance is yet to be confirmed.
