‘We want it' – Sadiq Khan tells WWE legend Triple H to bring WrestleMania to London for first time ever
LONDON MAYOR Sadiq Khan continues to push WWE to bring WrestleMania to the British capital. British WWE fans have been wanting professional wrestling's biggest show to come to the UK for decades. 3 3 3 And Khan, 54, is working rigorously to bring Mania outside of North America for the first time in the show's 40-plus-year history. The UK has some of the most hardcore WWE fans around the world and London has hosted a series of major premium live events, including Money in the Bank in 2023 and SummerSlam in 1992. The mayor wants to make the pro wrestling enthusiasts' dream a reality and has held talks with WWE chief content officer Paul 'Triple H' Levesque, who previously suggested he is open to the prospect. And he made one more major call to Triple H urging him to bring the Show of Shows across the Pond to the "sporting capital". London has hosted a number of major sporting events throughout the years, including Champions League finals, NFL matches and of course the 2012 Olympics. Khan told CNBC: "I'd love for WrestleMania to come to London. "Triple H if you're watching, we want WrestleMania to come to London. "If WrestleMania came to London, my message to the team there is that we wouldn't just have a great weekend, we'd have a festival, of you know, legends in WrestleMania coming to London, current stars, but also future stars as a well. "It will open a completely new market for them as well. "I think the potential has not been reached in terms of WrestleMania. "We are the sporting capital, in my view, of the world. And if WrestleMania wants to expand, the obvious place to come is London."

WWE Money In The Bank 2025: 10 Things You Must Know
TULSA, OKLAHOMA - JUNE 02: Bron Breakker, Seth Rollins, Bronson Reed and Paul Heyman stand tall ... More during Monday Night RAW at BOK Center on June 2, 2025 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. (Photo by Rich Freeda/WWE via Getty Images) WWE is taking over southern California this weekend with Smackdown, Worlds Collide and Money in the Bank emanating from the Los Angeles area. Fans have endured some roster transition over the past week, so there is some pressure for the promotion to produce an entertaining and memorable premium live event on Saturday. Here's the 10 things you must know about Money in the Bank 2025. WWE Money in the Bank 2025 is scheduled for Saturday, June 7, 2025. The event will take place at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. Ticketmaster's cheapest available ticket early on Thursday morning was $238 while the most expensive was $9,320. The main event figures to be the high-profile tag team match featuring Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso vs John Cena and Logan Paul. While this match is heavy on star power, there isn't much attached to it besides the chances that the men's MITB winner will cash in on a depleted Cena at the end of the match. If there is no surprise entrant into the MITB match–like Karrion Kross–one surprise that we could see is Becky Lynch aligning herself with her real-life husband Seth Rollins–helping him win MITB. I have written this before, but I believe we're headed for a mixed tag-team match at Summerslam that sees Seth and Becky take on CM Punk and AJ Lee. Quite honestly, it's going to be a hard sell for anyone in the men's MITB to win besides Rollins. There could be a case made for Penta, but as it is, having Rollins win his second briefcase would make the most sense. Rollins' 2014 cash-in–which is arguably the greatest in WWE history–would be tough for the future Hall-of-Famer to top, but with Paul Heyman and others involved, there's plenty of routes to take to make it stand on its own. If I'm being totally honest, no one deserves the opportunity more than Naomi. She has been amazing on her heel run. The way she's been lurking in the shadows over the past week is a perfect setup for a MITB run. Color me Team Naomi for this one.

WWE star Zoey Stark suffers gruesome knee injury during match
WWE star Zoey Stark suffered an apparent knee injury during her Money in the Bank qualifying match on "Monday Night Raw." Stark was attempting to connect on a dropkick against Kairi Sane but fell awkwardly. Stark's knee buckled, and she writhed in pain on the mat as the referee checked on her. A trainer slid into the ring to check on the wrestler and helped her out of the ring. The broadcast showed Stark being carried into the back. The match went from a triple threat involving Stark, Sane and Rhea Ripley to just two competitors. Ripley eventually pinned Sane, who was returning from her own injuries that sidelined her for weeks. The pro wrestling world offered their well-wishes to Stark. Stark, whose real name is Theresa Serrano, did not immediately post on social media about her injury. She debuted on the "Raw" roster in 2023 after having success in NXT for a few years before getting the call-up. She immediately made an impact when she partnered with WWE legend Trish Stratus during her feud with Becky Lynch. Once the rivalry was over, she found herself in a new faction with Shayna Baszler and Sonya Deville for a few months, but Baszler and Deville eventually departed the company. Stark was ranked as the No. 86 top female wrestler in Pro Wrestling Illustrated's 2021 list. She won a tag team championship with Iyo Sky in NXT. Jeff Cobb makes WWE debut at Backlash, helps Jacob Fatu retain US title
Jeff Cobb made an immediate impact on the WWE roster when he made his debut during the Backlash premium live event on Saturday. Cobb interfered in the fatal four-way match for the United States Championship as Jacob Fatu, LA Knight, Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre fought for the title. As Priest took out McIntyre in the crowd, Knight turned his attention to Fatu. Knight set himself up to put Fatu through the announcers' table when Solo Sikoa removed Fatu from danger. As Knight went to address Sikoa, Cobb attacked Knight near the barricade. Cobb then slammed Knight into the ring post multiple times. He threw Knight back into the ring. Fatu regained composure and took a long look at Cobb and Sikoa before he finished off his opponent. It was long rumored that Cobb was going to make an appearance on WWE programming – it was only a matter of when and where. The Bloodline faction has dwindled in recent months as Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa have both suffered injuries. Sikoa made clear he had Fatu's back as he pursued the United States Championship. Cobb could be looked at as added reinforcements. The 42-year-old has been almost everywhere in pro wrestling. He made a name for himself in Lucha Underground and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla before taking New Japan Pro-Wrestling by storm. He made appearances in All Elite Wrestling and Ring of Honor as well. Pro Wrestling Illustrated named Cobb as one of the top 25 pro wrestlers in 2019. He's set to be a part of the SmackDown roster.
