Suge Knight Says Diddy Should Testify In His Own Trial To 'Humanize' Himself
A lengthy list of witnesses have testified so far during Sean 'Diddy' Combs', but the defendant noticeably chose to not take the stand at all. Suge Knight has continued to weigh in on how court proceedings are playing out, and he recently doubled down on his surprising take about the case and even suggested Diddy should testify. Earlier this week, the Death Row Records executive shared he felt there's a chance his longtime rival could beat his charges. 'I feel if he do tell his truth, he really would walk,' Knight elaborated Thursday (May 30) in a phone interview from the Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego. He then discussed a possible strategy the Bad Boy founder could use to help his road to a potential victory. 'If Puffy goes up there and says, 'Hey… I did all the drugs, I wasn't in control of my life at the time, or myself' – he can humanize his old self and the jury might give him a shot.' 'But if they keep him sitting down, it's like he's scared to face the music,' Knight added. 'He should just have his faith in God, put up his pants and go up there and tell his truth.' Suge is currently in prison for an unrelated crime, serving a 28-year-sentence for a deadly hit-and-run in 2015. In the aforementioned conversation from earlier this week, Knight surprised many people with his opinion because of his well-known decades-long beef with the NYC mogul. 'Puffy and I are not friends,' he explained to Cuomo. 'But Puffy should definitely walk free.' According to him, Diddy's not the only one who should be taking the blame for all of the alleged crimes. 'The most important thing is that it was other executives that were involved in Puffy's life. For Puffy to be the only guy that gets on the stand is a sad day for Hip-Hop,' he continued. Diddy is facing one count of racketeering conspiracy; two counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion; and two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was arrested in NYC on Sept. 16, 2024, and held at MDC Brooklyn without bail. His trial is expected to last all of June and into July. Live updates: Sean ‘Diddy' Combs trial continues with more ‘Mia' testimony
Update: Date: 7 min ago Title: Suge Knight says Combs should take the stand to "humanize" himself Content: Imprisoned former rap mogul Marion 'Suge' Knight, who for decades shared an acrimonious relationship with Sean 'Diddy' Combs, said his longtime archrival should take the stand in his trial. Speaking to CNN's Laura Coates from prison, where he's serving a 28-year sentence for a deadly hit-and-run in 2015, Knight said he believed Combs should 'humanize' himself. 'I feel if he do tell his truth, he really would walk,' Knight said. 'If Puffy goes up there and says, 'Hey … I did all the drugs, I wasn't in control of my life at the time, or myself' – he can humanize his old self and the jury might give him a shot.' 'But if they keep him sitting down, it's like he's scared to face the music,' Knight added. 'He should just have his faith in God, put up his pants and go up there and tell his truth.' Some insight: Benjamin Chew, the co-lead counsel for actor Johnny Depp in his defamation trial, told CNN this week that the standard wisdom is for defendants not to testify – but added it may benefit Combs to defend himself and express remorse over the allegations that have been brought up during the prosecution's case. Knight has resurfaced in headlines in recent weeks during Combs' trial, as several former staffers employed by Combs mentioned the men's rivalry. One of Combs' former personal assistants, Capricorn Clark, said Combs once brought her to Central Park at night and brought up her former employment with Death Row Records. 'He told me that he didn't know that I had anything to do with Suge Knight, and if anything happened, he would have to kill me,' Clark said. David James, another former assistant, recalled an instance when he and Combs' security guard ran into Knight at a diner. When Combs heard about it, he ordered James to drive them back to the diner, bringing three handguns with him – but Knight had left by the time they arrived, James testified. Suge Knight Believes Diddy ‘Definitely Should Walk' Free in Sex Trafficking & Racketeering Trial
Suge Knight believes Diddy should be a free man at the conclusion of his sex trafficking and racketeering trial. While Knight and Diddy were at opposite ends of the contentious West Coast/East Coast rap beef in the '90s, the Death Row founder joined NewsNation's Cuomo on Tuesday (May 27), where he detailed why he thinks that Diddy shouldn't be found guilty. More from Billboard Reneé Rapp Says Her Name Was Designed for Pop Stardom John Butler Returns With New Solo Album 'PRISM' Jourdan Blue Scores Golden Buzzer With Emotional Performance on 'America's Got Talent' Premiere Knight said he believes Combs had many accomplices who should be in handcuffs with him, while Diddy was the only Bad Boy Records executive to take the fall. 'I say this all the time, Puffy and I are not friends. But Puffy should definitely walk,' he explained. 'There were other executives involved in Puffy's life and for Puffy to be the only guy that gets on the stand is a sad day for hip-hop.' Host Chris Cuomo asked Knight about his relationship with Diddy's former assistant, Capricorn Clark, who testified against Combs and claimed Diddy kidnapped her. Knight alleged that Bad Boy's Reggie Wright Jr. forced Clark to have sex with multiple people. 'I don't think this is a case where Puffy should be going to prison … How could every person who's involved with Puffy not on the stand except for Puffy? At some point, the law gotta be blind,' Knight continued. 'We just can't jump to conclusions and say, 'throw Puffy under the bus.' Like I said, him and I are not friends, but Puffy definitely should walk. What's right is right, wrong is wrong.' Even if Diddy ends up receiving a lengthy prison sentence, Knight believes that President Donald Trump will end up giving the Bad Boy mogul a pardon. 'I don't think he has nothing to worry about, and I don't think he's worried because he's gonna be federal, and if he gets convicted, Trump's gonna pardon him,' he said to Cuomo. 'I feel that Puffy is going to be alright and have a fair shot at it. He's not a dummy. I'm quite sure somebody is going to talk to those jurors and convince one or two of them.' Diddy's sex trafficking and racketeering trial is approaching day 10 and is expected to last into July. He faces life in prison if convicted on all charges. Diddy ‘should definitely walk' amid sex trafficking trial, Suge Knight says
NEW YORK — Suge Knight says former rival hip-hop mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs 'should definitely walk' three weeks into his federal trial for sex trafficking and racketeering charges. The Death Row records founder, real name Marion Knight, appeared on NewsNation Tuesday to weigh in on the trial and the testimony of the Bad Boy founder's former assistant, Capricorn Clark. Hours earlier, Clark alleged that Harlem-born Combs, 55, kidnapped her in 2011 while armed, so she would help 'kill [Kid] Cudi.' 'I say this all the time: Puffy and I definitely not friends, but Puffy should definitely walk,' said 60-year-old Knight, who is currently serving a 28-year prison sentence for manslaughter, related to a 2015 hit-and-run in his native Compton. 'It was other executives that was involved in Puffy's life. And for Puffy to be the only guy that gets on the stand is a sad day for hip-hop.' Clark on Tuesday testified that, prior to joining Bad Boy in 2004, she signed with Death Row Records. She identified Knight as 'the father of my best friend's children.' Combs, she said, calmly 'told me he didn't know that I had anything to do with Suge Knight and if anything happened he would have to kill me.' 'When it's all said and done, how [come] every person who was involved with Puffy is not on the stand? It's just Puffy. So, at some point, the law gotta be blind,' said Knight, whose legal issues date back to 1992. 'Death Row and the employees at Bad Boy were really good friends, a lot of them.' He said Death Row security chief Reggie Wright Jr. was in charge of security for Combs and Biggie Smalls the night the latter was fatally shot. 'So I can't see that they would look at Capricorn's affiliation with Death Row that bad and that type of threats,' said Knight. 'We just can't jump to conclusions and throw Puffy under the bus. Like I said, him and I are not friends, but Puffy definitely should walk. What's right is right, wrong is wrong.' Combs, who is also the subject of dozens of troubling lawsuits, faces life in prison. The trial is expected to go on until July.

Jamie Foxx Exclaims 'Puffy Didn't Try To Kill Me' After Rumored Conspiracy
Jamie Foxx has, once again, denied rumors that Sean 'Diddy' Combs made an attempt on his life. Speaking with Hasan Minhaj, Chelsea Handler, Roy Wood Jr., Seth Meyers, and Sarah Silverman for The Hollywood Reporter, the 57-year-old opened up about his reactions to online conspiracies that were created during his 2023 hospitalization. 'I was doing so many jokes in the hospital. That's the only way I could get through it. I'm a comic, so even when I was heavily sedated, and they gave me OxyContin, Dilantin, and morphine at the same time,' reflected Foxx after Minhaj's revelation that 'Jamie almost died.' He continued to explain how he snuck to use his mobile device and was introduced to the rumors being spun by the outside world as he and his family kept the details of the medical emergency under wraps. It was later revealed that the comedian suffered from a brain bleed and stroke. 'I'm in f**king perfect shape. [I see things like,] 'Puffy tried to kill me.' No, Puffy didn't try to kill me. When they said I was a clone, that made me flip. I'm sitting in the hospital bed, like, 'These bi**h-a** motherf**kers are trying to clone me,' elaborated the acclaimed actor. 'And then I saw me walk into my room, but I'm white, so I see the white me. The next morning, I said, 'I know what's up, you're trying to clone me and make me white so I'll sell better overseas.' The psychiatrist says, 'Are you all right?' And I say, 'Am I all right or am I all white? I saw you trying to get the white motherf**king Jamie Foxx and it ain't going to happen.' He just calmly goes, 'I think we're going to lower your dosage.' Rumors that Combs was involved in the health scare experienced by Foxx reached the point where the Hip-Hop mogul's team had to address them after the comedian parlayed the discourse into a part of his stand up routine. The rumors were called 'outlandish, ridiculous, and baseless,' by Combs' representatives in October 2024 after Combs was arrested the month before. Foxx himself also attempted to clear up confusion later that year when he exclaimed that the Harlem native was not invloved in his illness. 'The internet was trying to kill me, though. The internet said Puffy tried to kill me. I know what you're thinking, did he?' Foxx joked in his Netflix comedy special What Had Happened Was… 'Hell, nah ni**a, I left those parties early. I was out by 9 ni**a, something don't look right ni**a. It's slippery in here.'More from Jessie and D'Lila Combs Graduate High School Amid Dad Diddy's Criminal Trial Young Thug Calls Kid Cudi A "Rat" After Taking The Stand In Diddy Trial Diddy Could Lose $400M Fortune If Feds Seize His Remaining Assets
