Egyptian Premier League side Pyramids FC's €2.5 million offer for Swedish striker Isac Lidberg was rejected by German 2. Bundesliga club SV Darmstadt 98, according to a report by Sky Sport DE's Florian Plettenberg on Thursday. The bid, which included a 10 percent sell-on clause in favour of Darmstadt, marks the latest move by the ambitious Cairo-based club to bolster their squad following their maiden CAF Champions League triumph in April 2025. Lidberg, who joined Darmstadt in the summer of 2024, has emerged as a key asset for the "Lilien," with his aerial prowess and clinical finishing drawing interest from across the continent. The 23-year-old forward is reportedly considering the offer. Still, Darmstadt's sporting director, Paul Fernie, has signalled a firm stance, indicating negotiations will only resume for an "exceptional offer" exceeding the initial proposal. In swift response, Pyramids secured the services of Ewerton from Czech side Banik Ostrava fending off prior interest from domestic rivals Al Ahly who'd backed out of potential deal last summer. Now he's among us. Ewerton da Silva joins Pyramids" Stats & Profile Ewerton 28, is a versatile left winger who can also operate on the right flank or as attacking midfielder. During his stint with Banik Ostrava (2023 - 2025) he racked up 70 appearances scoring 30 goal & providing 13 assist. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value stands at 2.8 million euro though Pyramids haven't disclosed the transfer fee. The Brazilian's already training with the squad in Turkey where the team recently played friendly against Kasımpasa.

Pyramids FC sign Brazilian winger Ewerton on four-year deal - Egyptian Football
Egyptian side Pyramids FC have signed Brazilian winger Ewerton Paixão da Silva from Czech club Baník Ostrava on a four-year contract; the club announced on Monday. The 28-year-old becomes the club's first signing of the summer as the African champions prepare for the new season, which kicks off on 9 August against newly promoted side Wadi Degla. Known simply as Ewerton, the winger is expected to fill the void left by Ibrahim Adel, who joined UAE side Al-Jazira earlier this month. Ewerton was previously linked with a move to Egyptian giants Ahly, who showed interest in January, but the deal fell through amid reports that Ostrava had set a $2.5 million price tag for the player. He scored 16 goals and provided seven assists in 34 appearances in all fronts last season. Pyramids FC are coming off a historic campaign in which they won their first CAF Champions League title and finished runners-up in both the Egyptian Premier League and Egypt Cup. The club face a packed schedule this season, including domestic and continental competitions, as well as representing Africa at the FIFA Intercontinental Cup.
