Saudi Health Ministry honours Qatari Hajj medical unit for its outstanding services
QNA Riyadh The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health has honoured the Qatari Hajj Mission's medical unit, in recognition of its effective role in providing high-quality healthcare services in the 1446 AH Hajj season. In this context, medical unit head Dr. Khalid Abdul Hadi received a certificate of appreciation on behalf his team. This recognition reflects the medical unit's outstanding services, which stem from its objective of providing Qatar's pilgrims with a fully integrated healthcare system in Mecca and the holy sites around the clock. The medical unit's clinics are staffed with a specialized medical team of various specializations, including internal medicine, cardiology, emergency medicine, infectious diseases, ENT, nursing, ambulance services, and pharmacy. In a statement issued Monday, the Qatari Hajj mission said that this recognition is the result of the State of Qatar's approach under its wise leadership to offer the country's pilgrims with the highest levels of support and care, with the Qatari Hajj mission's service, technical, and support units unifying their efforts to ensure that pilgrims perform their rituals in a safe and healthy environment that provides maximum peace of mind and comfort. The medical unit has set up field clinics fully equipped with state-of-the-art medical apparatus and has deployed a top-level ambulance and a team of doctors and nurses to monitor and accompany pilgrims across holy sites, including Arafat, Muzdalifah and Mina, to ensure a rapid response to emergencies. The Qatari Hajj mission's healthcare services are one of the most outstanding aspects of Qatar's Hajj experience. They consist of proactive medical care, applying the highest safety and prevention standards, in addition to raising pilgrims' awareness and educating them on health-related matters before and during the pilgrimage. RACA highlights Qatar's charitable initiatives at Gulf Non-Profit Forum
QNA Riyadh The Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities (RACA) participated in a specialised seminar held as part of the Gulf Non-Profit Sector Forum, aimed at strengthening collaboration with the government and private sectors. The forum took place on the sidelines of the International Non-Profit Sector Exhibition (IENA) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. During the seminar, Rashid Mohammed Al Nuaimi, director of Licensing and Support at RACA, shared Qatar's experience in organising charitable work. He emphasised RACA's pivotal role in establishing regulatory frameworks that ensure governance and transparency, while supporting charitable entities in adhering to national and international standards. This, he noted, enhances the sector's effectiveness and safeguards its humanitarian and developmental objectives. Al Nuaimi also highlighted the 'SANADY' platform, which coordinates domestic aid and serves as a leading model for unifying charitable efforts and strengthening coordination among relevant entities. The platform contributes to delivering impactful and transparent development outcomes, aligned with clearly defined priorities that respond to community needs. He further explained that RACA has adopted an integrated system for licensing, monitoring, and support—enabling charitable organisations to operate within a well-regulated framework. GCC-US partnership on solid ground: Al Budaiwi
QNA Riyadh The GCC-US partnership stands on solid ground and is manifested across areas of trade, investment, education, energy, and defence, said GCC Secretary General Jasem Mohamed Al Budaiwi. Addressing the GCC-US Summit in Riyadh on Wednesday, Al Budaiwi added that ten working groups are overseeing this partnership. The GCC states continue to lead in traditional energy markets and are moving forward with pioneering partnerships with the US in clean energy and environmental innovation, he added. Al Budaiwi elaborated that such relations are strengthened by the presence of tens of thousands of GCC students in American universities and the spread of American academic branches in the region, in addition to deep-rooted defence relations embodied by qualitative deals and shared bases, making this partnership a unique model of multidimensional strategic integration. The Secretary General reiterated the GCC states' steadfast position in supporting the Palestinian people and supporting them at all levels.
