Audi debuts the RS 3 Sportback in Singapore, available now

With new design and performance upgrades, the compact top model Audi RS 3 Sportback, which represents maximum performance, has become even sportier. After its upgrade, the Audi RS 3 has an assertive front design with a hexagonal Singleframe with a striking border and a voluminous rhombus-pattern grille, which emphasises the dynamics of the compact sports car. Image courtesy of Audi. Along with redesigned daytime running lights, the headlights also accentuate the car's performance and for the first time, allows drivers to choose between three additional daytime running light designs in the MMI touch display. Like the headlights, the tail lights also feature a new graphic where arrows dynamically light up from inside to out with the coming home/leaving home function embodying the progressive design. The expressive exterior is accentuated by the RS-specific exterior colours Kyalami Green and Kemora Grey, the new metallic paints Ascari blue and Progressive Red, and for the first time, Daytona Grey in a matte finish. Image courtesy of Audi. In the interior, you'll find dark colour tones with a new steering wheel, RS sport or bucket seats, carbon features, and sporty displays. The standard contour and ambient lighting illuminate the new design features such as the storage box in front of the flatter-designed shifter, the centre console with cup holders, and the doors. There's even a night-time feature where a light source in the door panel backlights hundreds of lasered rhombus shapes of various sizes, which dynamically light up when locking and unlocking the RS 3. Image courtesy of Audi. Joining the already standard features of the 12.3-inch Audi virtual cockpit plus is the new rev counter, which prominently displays the revolutions per minute in the centre of the instrument cluster. There are also displays for power output, torque, g-forces, acceleration, and lap times. Powered by the legendary 2.5 TFSI engine from Audi Sport, the Audi RS 3 is able to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 3.8 seconds and can reach a top speed of 290km/h. Depending on the Audi drive select mode chosen, you can now make the RS 3 more agile earlier and in a more controlled manner. When the coefficient of friction is low, the interaction of these systems also ensures increased stability. Image courtesy of Audi. Image courtesy of Audi. Image courtesy of Audi. Performing even better in bends, the RS 3 helps to avoid understeer at the entrance to the corner, and turns in more willingly thanks to its fine-tuning and brake torque vectoring. With the finely dosed brake interventions on the inside wheels, the compact sports car follows the corner's radius more precisely, allowing you to accelerate the RS 3 sooner to steer it through the bend at higher speeds.

2026 Audi RS3 Review, Pricing, and Specs

Overview Audi's smallest performance sedan is the RS3, but this little four-door is packed with performance and posh features. A turbocharged inline-five is the only engine option, making a heady 394 horsepower and a distinctive exhaust burble. Combine that with all-wheel-drive traction, and you have a recipe for brutally quick acceleration. The cabin has a premium and tech-forward vibe similar to the rest of the Audi lineup. It's not particularly spacious, however, and adults won't find the rear seat very comfortable. Cargo space is also limited, further limiting the RS3's practicality. Expert Tip: Small sports sedans are a dying breed, and the Acura Integra Type S, the BMW M235 Gran Coupe, and the Mercedes-AMG CLA-class are the RS3's only rivals. All these cars offer big thrills despite their tiny statures. What's New for 2026? Audi refreshed the RS3 just last year, so we expect to see no significant changes to the twee sports sedan for 2026. Pricing and Which One to Buy The price of the 2026 Audi RS3 is expected to start around $65,000. RS3 $65,000 (est) 0 $10k $20k $30k $40k $50k $60k $70k $80k $90k $100k The RS3 starts at around $65,000, and few options are offered. For those who plan on setting hot laps, we recommend choosing the optional Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R track tires, as their transformative properties are worth their weight in, uh, rubber. However, those who don't plan on taking their RS3 to the racetrack should stick with the standard rubber, which will likely have a longer shelf life. We'd skip the other packages, as they're mainly cosmetic. Engine, Transmission, and Performance Engine: 394-hp turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder 394-hp turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder Transmission: 7-speed dual-clutch automatic 7-speed dual-clutch automatic Drivetrain: all-wheel-drive One of the most distinct elements of the RS3 is its unusual turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine rated for 394 horsepower. Its odd number of cylinders produces a unique thrumming soundtrack that is particularly pleasing to our ears. The engine pairs with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that deliberately downshifts with slight throttle inputs. The RS3's standard all-wheel-drive system includes a torque-vectoring rear differential with a drift mode that benefits from software meant to enhance stability and control at speed. Getting the RS3's tail to kick out is still as simple as selecting the RS Torque Rear driving mode. Compared with the lesser A3 and S3, the RS3 has upgraded brakes, a stiffer suspension setup, and a unique set of wheels on stickier performance tires. The 2025 RS3 we drove produced the aforementioned exhilarating sounds, and the car's feisty nature was evident at the racetrack. Plus, it was composed and comfortable when driven sedately on regular roads. 0–60-MPH Times In Comparison: The RS3's 60-mph result is identical to that of the larger—and more powerful—RS5 Sportback. On our 75-mph fuel economy route, which is part of our extensive testing regimen, the previous RS3 sedan outperformed its EPA estimate with a 33 mpg result. We haven't yet tested the 2025 model, but we expect it to perform similarly. For more information about the RS3's fuel economy, visit the EPA website. Interior, Comfort, and Cargo First Row: Inside, the RS3's passenger space is identical to that of the A3 and S3, but it has a set of more aggressively bolstered front seats. Audi endows all versions with a dashboard that looks anything but bland. A pair of high-mounted air vents face the driver and flank the instrument panel binnacle that houses a set of digital gauges. The RS3 is also available with a head-up display. Below the center touchscreen are climate controls with physical buttons, and there's a bin below them that's integrated into the center console. Second Row: Rear passenger space isn't generous, and adult riders will definitely feel the pinch. The same quilted leather upholstery that wraps the RS3's front seats covers the rear bench, which folds down in a 40/20/40 configuration for extra storage space. Cargo Capacity: That folding rear seat will come in handy if you need to haul more cargo than will fit in the RS3's smallish 11.3-inch trunk. View Photos Audi Infotainment and Connectivity Infotainment: 10.1-inch touchscreen 10.1-inch touchscreen Connectivity: Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Audio System: 15-speaker Sonos stereo The RS3 has a 10.1-inch touchscreen mounted in the middle of the dash, which can be controlled through touch inputs, buttons on the steering wheel, and voice commands. It also includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Plus, the infotainment system allows users to download third-party apps like Spotify and YouTube. Built-in navigation, a subscription-based Wi-Fi hotspot, and wireless phone charging are on the roster too. All models also come with a 15-speaker stereo system tuned by Sonos. Safety and Driver-Assistance Features The RS3 offers a bunch of standard driver-assistance features, including adaptive cruise control and automatic high-beam headlights. Standard Safety Features: automated emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control For information about the RS3's crash-test results, visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) websites. See The Radical 2026 Audi S3 Interior Before You're Supposed To

The 8Y generation of the Audi A3 and S3 was introduced in 2020, and last year, it was given an update, with the latter performance-minded model getting more power and the RS3's so-called Torque Splitter, which prioritizes the rear end when apportioning output. Several other handling improvements were made, along wth a revised exterior and a cabin with new air vents, an updated shifter design, more ambient lighting, and a few extra places to charge phones from. In a word, the facelift was substantial. But now that Audi has begun rolling out 2026 variants of numerous vehicles with completely different looks inside and out, the 8Y's interior is beginning to look and feel a little dated in the company of its siblings, and our spies have seen how Ingolstadt intends to remedy that. This writer is a lifelong BMW fan, but ever since the 8V generation, even I haven't been able to argue with the sentiment that Audi made the best interiors in the business - elegant, rattle-free, ergonomic, and practically timeless in their balance of tech and tactility. The circular air vents with their stunning knobs to adjust airflow and intensity were a particular highlight. But recently, Audi, like my beloved BMW and others, has jumped head-first into the big-screen game - it's what younger buyers seem to want - and the 8Y is losing texture as a result. Using a long lens, our spies can't get all the angles they'd like, but we do expect a volume knob to live on as it does in the Q6 e-tron, alongside the engine start button and controls for the transmission and hazard warning lights, in that 2025 center console. The rest, however, is completely different. Related: Audi may Build Future EVs in the United States Due to Tariffs Say goodbye to a textured badge on the reshaped steering wheel and hello to a flat plastic plaque, a one-dimensional representation of the revised Audi logo introduced when the company was leaning into an all-electric future with near-certainty. Bid farewell to what felt like a driver-focused cluster shroud and welcome a singular display merging the central infotainment screen. Forget about feeling your way around the steering wheel as easily as with physical buttons and a scroll wheel; embrace touch-capacitive pads for your thumbs, albeit with recesses to at least minimize the time spent looking down when adjusting controls. As malicious to driver concentration as big touchscreens have been proven to be time and time again, the risk should be minimized when a passenger is onboard. Spy photos show that this side of the dashboard is also covered up, and comparing how it's covered up to images of the latest A5 and S5 interior, it looks like this test mule doesn't have a screen on the right-hand side of the cabin. It may yet prove to be a costly optional extra, but for now, Audi's entry-level sedan is staying as simple as possible. With the negative tone in which I've described the above updates as they appear to me, it's only fair to note that the interior door panel looks great, with double-stitching, a mix of materials, and a similar perforation to the steering wheel grips. There may be a lot of dull plastic, as in most rivals in the segment, but the design is sharp and what we can see of the cabin is still well structured. We'll see more as this edges closer to a reveal, which, considering the exterior is unchanged, shouldn't be long now. Copyright 2025 The Arena Group, Inc. All Rights Reserved.

2025 Audi S3 Review, Pricing, and Specs

Specs See all specs EPA MPG 26 Combined Seating 5 Seats Cargo Capacity 8 Cubic Feet Powertrain Gas Drivetrain All-Wheel Drive Limited Warranty 4 Years/50,000 Miles Overview The Audi S3 sedan splits the difference between the sensible and appealing standard A3 and the intense and track-ready 401-hp RS3. This compact, all-wheel-drive sedan's handsome, reserved exterior provides a nice foil for the rorty turbocharged four-cylinder found under the hood. Audi has announced a mild power bump for the 2025 S3, an increase of 22 ponies for a total of 328 horsepower. Numerous chassis revisions are intended to further hone its already sharp handling skills, and there's a sassy new drift mode. But the S3's story has always been about its remarkable balance, not only in terms of style and performance but also in the way its tasteful interior blends modern tech with decent material quality in a way that never looks forced or garish. It's a smart and sensible small luxury sedan with an athletic side, a car that can cut and run when called upon but won't beat you up every day with a harsh ride or booming exhaust note. Its enthusiast-friendly personality has made it one of our favorites in a class full of fun-to-drive cars. What's New for 2025? The S3 receives a well-curated round of updates, all focused on elevating its performance. Horsepower from the turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four is up by 22, for a total of 328 horses. Torque remains the same at 295 pound-feet but is available across a wider rev band. Likewise, the chassis, driveline, and software receive some massaging, including a new torque-split system on the rear axle—similar to the one in use in the RS3—that uses two clutch packs to enable variable output between the two rear wheels. Front-end tweaks include larger brakes with two-piston calipers, revised geometry with different camber curves, and retuned steering. Pricing and Which One to Buy The price of the 2025 Audi S3 starts at $49,995 and goes up to $56,195 depending on the trim and options. Premium $49,995 Premium Plus $52,395 Prestige $56,195 0 $10k $20k $30k $40k $50k $60k $70k $80k $90k The Premium Plus trim hits the sweet spot. It has driver-assistance features such as lane-keeping assist and adaptive cruise control and includes features such as memory settings for the driver's seat and wireless smartphone charging. Drivers who desire a head-up display and top-notch Bang & Olufsen audio will need to step up to the Prestige. Want to compare the 2025 Audi S3 to other vehicles you're interested in? Our new compare tool provides a comprehensive, side-by-side look at up to five cars of your choice. Compare Cars Engine, Transmission, and Performance The S3's 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine is rated for 328 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, 22 horsepower higher than last year's model. A seven-speed automatic transmission and Audi's Quattro all-wheel-drive system are standard. During our test drive of the 2025 model, we praised the S3's lithe handling and found its powertrain to be perky, eager, and sonorous. The engine improvements help the car feel even more responsive than before, and we felt the new torque-splitting differential at work in the corners, where the S3 is a precise and willing partner. 0–60-MPH Times In our testing, the updated S3 got to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds. That's slightly quicker than the old model. View Exterior Photos Audi Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG The S3 is EPA-rated for 23 mpg city and 31 mpg highway. It's more efficient than the CLA35 and just a bit behind the M235 Gran Coupe. When we get a chance to test the S3's highway fuel economy on our 75-mph test route, we'll update this story with results. For more information about the S3's fuel economy, visit the EPA's website. Interior, Comfort, and Cargo The S3's cabin is nearly identical to the new A3's but adds some racier styling elements such as sport seats with quilted leather inserts and a flat-bottom steering wheel. The S3 uses the same toggle-switch gear selector as the A3 as well. Audi offers the S3 with a more comprehensive set of standard features, though, including a panoramic sunroof, three-zone automatic climate control, and illuminated door jamb scuff plates. Passenger space is slightly more generous than in the previous-gen S3, but the new car's trunk is smaller. View Interior Photos Audi Infotainment and Connectivity The S3 comes with a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 10.3-inch digital gauge display. The screens run Audi's latest MMI software interface and both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included as standard. Buyers of the mid-range Premium Plus trim can opt for the Technology package, which adds a larger 12.3-inch digital gauge display, in-dash navigation, and a Sonos-branded stereo system. The top-of-the-line Prestige model gets all those same features as standard equipment. Safety and Driver-Assistance Features Like most Audis, the S3 comes standard with several driver-assistance features; more advanced technology is optional. For more information about the S3's crash-test results, visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) websites. Key safety features include: Standard automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection Available lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist Available adaptive cruise control Warranty and Maintenance Coverage The new S3 comes with the same standard warranty as the rest of the Audi lineup, which includes coverage on the vehicle's powertrain and a bumper-to-bumper policy that spans four years or 50,000 miles. Limited warranty covers four years or 50,000 miles Powertrain warranty covers four years or 50,000 miles No complimentary scheduled maintenance Specifications Specifications 2025 Audi S3 Vehicle Type: front-engine, all-wheel-drive, 5-passenger, 4-door sedan PRICE Base/As Tested: $49,995/$60,840 ENGINE turbocharged DOHC 16-valve inline-4, iron block and aluminum head, direct fuel injection Displacement: 121 in3, 1984 cm3 Power: 328 hp @ 6500 rpm Torque: 295 lb-ft @ 2000 rpm TRANSMISSION 7-speed dual-clutch automatic CHASSIS Suspension, F/R: struts/multilink Brakes, F/R: 14.1-in vented, cross-drilled disc/12.2-in vented disc Tires: Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport 235/35R-19 91Y RO DIMENSIONS Wheelbase: 103.6 in Length: 177.4 in Width: 71.5 in Height: 55.7 in Passenger Volume, F/R: 48/40 ft3 Cargo Volume: 8 ft3 Curb Weight: 3575 lb C/D TEST RESULTS 60 mph: 4.2 sec 100 mph: 10.6 sec 1/4-Mile: 12.8 sec @ 109 mph 140 mph: 24.0 sec Results above omit 1-ft rollout of 0.3 sec. 2026 Audi A3 Review, Pricing, and Specs

Overview The A3 is Audi's smallest, most affordable offering in the U.S. and a great option for anyone looking for a smooth-riding, fuel-efficient, and tech-forward luxury subcompact sedan. The car's rev-happy turbocharged four-cylinder engine offers a modest 201 ponies, but it works in harmony with the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission to propel the A3 to 60 mph in a respectable 6.0 seconds. Steering feel is a little lacking, but the A3 handles well and delivers an overall enjoyable driving experience. Also lacking is back seat space, as the A3's petite size makes it a snug place for four adults. Expert Tip: If the A3 is too mild for your tastes, you can order the medium-spicy S3 or red-hot RS3, but prepare for a lot of added cost. What's New for 2026? We expect little, if anything, to change for the A3 for 2026. Pricing and Which One to Buy The price of the 2026 Audi A3 is expected to start around $39,500 and go up to $42,500 depending on the trim and options. Premium $39,500 (est) Premium Plus $42,500 (est) 0 $10k $20k $30k $40k $50k $60k $70k We recommend the Premium model with the optional Convenience package, as it gets you the best features of the Premium Plus trim—adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, memory seat and mirror settings for the driver, a wireless smartphone charging pad, and proximity keyless entry—but costs less. Engine, Transmission, and Performance Engine: 201-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder 201-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder Transmission: 7-speed dual-clutch automatic 7-speed dual-clutch automatic Drivetrain: all-wheel drive A3 buyers won't lose any sleep debating which powertrain to choose, as the 201-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with a 48-volt hybrid system and seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission is the sole offering. All-wheel drive is standard. The car is playful and reactive enough to make commuting entertaining, and it delivers a pleasant ride over most surfaces, though you won't mistake it for a genuine sports sedan. If you're looking for heightened performance and faster reflexes, we encourage you to consider the 328-hp S3, which hits 60 mph 1.8 seconds sooner than the A3. 0–60-MPH Times C/D 60-mph Test: 6.0 seconds (2022 A3) In Comparison: The last A3 we tested (a 2022 model) made 221 pound-feet of torque and hit the 60-mph mark in 6.0 seconds, which is slightly behind the pace of the Cadillac CT4 (5.8 seconds) and Mercedes CLA250 (5.6). The current A3 is very similar to that model, only it makes 236 pound-feet, which might shave a tenth off its time. View Photos Audi Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG C/D 75-mph Highway Fuel-Economy Test : 40 mpg 40 mpg EPA City Rating : 24 mpg 24 mpg EPA Highway Rating: 34 mpg The EPA hasn't released fuel-economy information for the 2026 Audi A3 yet, but we don't expect the numbers to change. The 2025 A3 earns ratings of 24 mpg city, 34 mpg highway, and 28 mpg combined. In our hands, however, the all-wheel-drive A3 beat its official EPA number, returning a solid 40 mpg on C/D's 200-mile, 75-mph highway fuel-economy test route. For more information about the A3's fuel economy, visit the EPA's website. Interior, Comfort, and Cargo First Row: The A3's cabin's premium look and feel is marred by some hard-plastic trim in places, but up front, the seating position is excellent, and the leather-wrapped seats are plush. The design is also driver-focused, with a dash that juts out to angle the touchscreen and climate controls toward the person at the helm. Second Row: The back can accommodate kids in reasonable comfort, but adults—especially tall ones—may voice some complaints. Cargo Capacity: The A3 has a rather small trunk, offering just 10.9 cubic feet of space, but it should be enough for an average grocery store haul or a weekend's worth of luggage. View Photos Audi Infotainment and Connectivity Infotainment: 10.1-inch touchscreen 10.1-inch touchscreen Connectivity: Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility Audio Systems: 6-speaker stereo (standard); 15-speaker Sonos stereo (optional) The base A3 features a 10.1-inch touchscreen and a 10.3-inch digital instrument panel. Opting for the Tech package—available only on the Premium Plus trim—brings a 12.3-inch cluster that can display navigation info in the center of the screen. It's an easy-to-use and attractive setup. Plus, the infotainment system allows users to download third-party apps like Spotify and YouTube. Safety and Driver-Assistance Features The A3 comes with some driver-assistance tech, including automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane-departure warning, and automatic high-beams. Blind-spot monitoring, rear-cross-traffic alert, rear emergency braking, front and rear parking sensors, and park assist are all available.
