Milan target Adrien Rabiot as they look to continue bolstering midfield
Milan are expected to close the signing of Luka Modric sooner rather than later but that will not be the end of their midfield reinforcement. Their next target as per is going to be Adrien Rabiot from Marseille. The Frenchman has already worked with new Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri previously at Juventus and the manager is a fan of the player and has a good relationship with him. Rabiot left Juventus on a free deal last summer but after an impressive first season in France, he could already be back to Italy. Milan are set to make a healthy profit on Tijjani Reijnders and it is being reported that a mere €10.5m would be enough to get Roberto De Zerbi's side to part with the midfielder. This is due to his high wages, which could rise up to around €6m a year due to the club's Champions League qualification. Rabiot does fulfill Milan's need for a box-to-box midfielder quite well, having scored 9 times and assisted 4 more in 29 league games for Marseille. He will also add some physicality beside the ageing Modric. If they can't get him, Milan are likely to go for Matteo Guendozi or Nicolo Rovella of Lazio. Kaulik Mitra | GIFN

Rabiot gives availability to Milan after Allegri appointment
Former Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot has hinted that he would be open to joining Serie A rivals Milan after the appointment of former Bianconeri head coach Massimilano Allegri towards the end of last week. Now that we've qualified, it would be great to be able to play in that stadium in that environment,' Rabiot said when asked if he would be open to joining Allegri in Milan. Advertisement 'I talk with Allegri often,' he continued. 'Giovanni Rossi, De Zerbi's advisor, also works with him and when he calls, he says 'come here, I'll pass you onto your dad'. 'I can talk about everything with Allegri, not just football. I really appreciate him as a person. He has a winning mentality. And of course, if he calls me, I will always be available to talk to him.'

Adrien Rabiot lauds 'incredible' Celtic Park atmosphere
The Frenchman currently plies his trade for Marseille, but turned out at Parkhead for Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League in 2017. A star-studded PSG team, including the likes of Neymar Jr, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani, ran out emphatic 5-0 winners that evening. Rabiot was recently asked about the best footballing atmospheres outside of Marseille's infamous Stade Velodrome: "With PSG, we played against Celtic Glasgow," he told CARRE. Read more: "We were winning 5-0, but the guys kept singing, it was incredible, I'd never seen that before. "You know, it's the emotions you experience, even though you're the opposing team. "Even my family was in the stadium, they still remember it, because it's the things you experience. You say, the guys took 5-0, but they're singing all over the stadium. "So it's things like that that mark me, but Marseille, I place it at the top." Rabiot departed PSG for Juventus in 2019. He then spent five years in Turin before returning to his homeland with Marseille last summer. The 30-year-old has enjoyed a fine campaign with the club, scoring nine goals in 29 Ligue 1 appearances, helping them to a second-place finish. Marseille will resultantly play Champions League football next season, where they could come up against Celtic. Rabiot would undoubtedly relish another trip to Glasgow's east end after giving his 2017 visit a glowing reference.

Adrien Rabiot available for Reims visit despite France injury concerns
According to a report from La Provence, Adrien Rabiot (29) should be available for Olympique de Marseille's visit to Stade de Reims on Saturday afternoon despite being forced to miss France's victory over Croatia in the Nations League. The France international started the first of the two-legged tie against the 2018 World Cup finalists, where France lost 2-0 in Split. Didier Deschamps then announced before the home leg that he would be resting Rabiot after the midfielder picked up a calf injury. France were able to do without the former Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus midfielder as they managed to eliminate Croatia on penalties and progress to the semi-finals of the competition where they will take on reigning champions Spain. La Provence writes that the injury should not impact Rabiot's club commitments and Roberto De Zerbi will likely be able to count on his midfielder as Les Phocéens look to bounce back from a poor run of form that has seen them lose three of their last four games.
