Fahmi Extends Condolences To Family Of Veteran Comedian Khairul Azhar
KUALA LUMPUR, May 30 (Bernama) -- Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil has extended his condolences to the family of the late Khairul Azhar Abdul Samad, the beloved actor from the iconic sitcom Santan Berlada, who died last night. In a post on X today, Fahmi expressed his sorrow over the passing of the veteran comedian, who brought joy to Malaysians in the 1980s through the popular series, which aired on Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM). "Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un. Santan Berlada was one of my favourite sitcoms during my primary school years. It was full of light-hearted humour and brought fond memories.

MUSLIMS in Malaysia will celebrate Aidiladha on June 7, according to Assistant Secretary of the Conference of Rulers Datuk Mohd Aseral Jusman. Through an announcement broadcast on Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) tonight, Mohd Aseral also declared that 1 Zulhijjah 1446H will be on Thursday (May 29). 'To fulfil the order of His Majesty the King of Malaysia after being approved by Their Royal Highnesses, the Rulers, I, on behalf of the Keeper of the Rulers' Seal, hereby declare that 1 Zulhijjah 1446H is on 29 May 2025 AD. In an announcement broadcast by Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) on Tuesday (May 27) night, he also declared that 1 Zulhijjah 1446H will fall on Thursday (May 29). 'To fulfil the command of His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, with the consent of Their Royal Highnesses the Rulers, I hereby declare on behalf of the Keeper of the Rulers' Seal that 1 Zulhijjah 1446H will be on May 29, 2025,' he said.
