Telangana high court refuses to quash case against Telangana ex-MLA in BMW crash cover-up
Hyderabad: Justice K Lakshman of the Telangana high court on Tuesday refused to quash the criminal case filed against former Bodhan MLA Shakil Aamir Mohammed, his son Raheel Aamir, and several associates in connection with the Dec 2023 Begumpet barricade incident. The judge directed all accused, including the former legislator, to appear before the trial court whenever summoned. The case stems from an incident on Dec 24, 2023, when a speeding BMW rammed the barricades near the chief minister's camp office in Begumpet, causing damage. Initially, the Panjagutta police registered a case naming Abdul Asif as the driver. However, the investigation later revealed that the actual driver was Raheel, son of the former MLA. According to police, upon learning of the accident, Shakil allegedly pressured the Bodhan station house officer to coordinate with the Panjagutta SHO and falsely name Asif as the accused. The two SHOs involved were subsequently suspended and added as accused in the case. Prosecution against them is pending sanction from the state govt. Raheel, after securing bail from the trial court, allegedly left the country and has since ignored police notices. His absence has stalled the investigation, preventing the filing of a chargesheet. Police officials who responded at the scene on Dec 24 reportedly identified the driver and even conducted a medical test to determine if he was under the influence. A test identification parade is now pending, but it cannot proceed without Raheel's presence. Shalini Saxena, assisting the public prosecutor, informed the court that the investigation is at a standstill due to Raheel's non-cooperation. Justice Lakshman also dismissed a separate plea filed by M Hanuman Nani, another accused, who is alleged to have helped an SHO evade legal proceedings. The court reiterated that all accused must appear before the trial court and face trial as per procedure.

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader's son Raheel Sheikh was booked in a drunk driving case on Monday after Mumbai influencer Rajshree More accused the man of ramming her car and threatening her. As per More, who recorded a video of the incident and shared it on her Instagram, Raheel was visibly drunk and rammed her car several times.(Instagram/Rajshree More) The incident took place on Sunday night when More was travelling from Goregaon to Andheri. In the complaint filed, the influencer alleged that Raheel was intoxicated and partially undressed and rammed her car several times. What has the influencer said? As per More, who recorded a video of the incident and shared it on her Instagram, Raheel was visibly drunk and rammed her car several times. "The driver of the SUV was ramming my car repeatedly. The first time, I thought it was a mistake, but I was targeted again. I am not sure if I was being followed. I entered a small lane near my house which is wide enough for only one car and then it was easier for the other car to target mine. I asked my driver if our car was locked and then spotted two constables and asked them for help. They sat in my car and it was rammed again," More told NDTV. She added that Sheikh proceeded to misbehave with the cops and used his father's name - Javed Sheikh - as an intimidation tactic. "My father is the state vice president of MNS,' Sheikh told her, while daring the influencer to call the police. After the cops approached Sheikh, More alleged that was when the abuse and threats began. "The moment he saw me, he started abusing me. That's when I started recording. He was drunk and half-naked. His pants were also slipping off. He did not remember he was half-naked, but he still could recall who his father was. He abused me and threatened me, saying I would have to pay for what I was doing," she added. This incident comes after More was allegedly targeted by MNS supporters for her controversial remarks on the Marathi language debate. In her statement, the nail artist and influencer called out MNS members for beating up a shopkeeper near Mumbai for not speaking Marathi. She stated that instead of imposing the language, Maharashtrians should be taught to "work hard." FIR filed against Sheikh Raheel Sheikh, who is the son of MNS Vice President Javed Sheikh, was booked for the incident. An FIR has been filed against the man under sections 79 (gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman), 281 (rash and negligent driving), and 125 and 185 (drunk driving) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). An arrest is yet to be made.

Anton Vinzon, Raheel Bhyria, Sparkle Campus Cutie winner Mad Ramos join 'Maka' cast
A new set of Sparkle stars are joining the cast of the Kapuso teen-oriented show 'Maka!' According to a post by GMA Public Affairs, the second season of 'Maka' will feature 'Mga Batang Riles' stars Anton Vinzon and Raheel Bhyria as well as 'Sparkle Campus Cutie' winner Mad Ramos. Aside from Anton, Raheel, and Mad, the cast now also includes former "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition" housemate Josh Ford. 'Maka' started airing its second season in January. It also stars Zephanie, Lapillus member Chanty Videla, John Clifford, Elijah Alejo, Shan Vesagas, and more. Raheel Bhyria has nothing but gratitude to his "Mga Batang Riles" co-star Jillian Ward as the show has come to the end. On Instagram, the Sparkle star shared a photo of himself with Jillian taken from the set along with a sweet message for the actress. "Siyempre sa lahat ng pinasalamatan ko, ito hindi ko puwede makalimutan. Thank you so much for supporting me and for being one of the reasons why I want to be better in everything I do," Raheel wrote. "I'll miss you My Lady!" he added. In return, Jillian also thanked Raheel in the comment section, saying "Proud of you, Sig! And thank you din for taking care of me during tapings! See you!" Jillian Ward and Raheel Bhyriaa shared that their on and off-cam relationship has gotten closer as they work together in "Mga Batang Riles." In Lhar Santiago's report in "24 Oras" Friday, Jillian shared that she now understands and trusts Raheel more. "Kahit hindi siya naniniwala, mas may trust ako sa kaniya ngayon and parang mas open na rin po ako sa kaniya compared nung [Abot-Kamay na Pangarap] days namin," she said. Raheel also said that he's thankful Jillian joined the show because he was able to tell her things he could not in the past. "Nagpapasalamat ako nandito siya dahil marami rin akong naisabi na hindi ko maisabi rin before at mas naintindihan niya raw ako," he said without revealing what exactly he was able to tell Jillian this time around. Raheel also expressied his gratitude to fans who have been shipping their characters, Sig and Lady.
