Second Pran Pratistha in Ayodhya today: How it will be different from the first
NEARLY ONE and a half years after the Pran Pratistha of the Ram Lalla idol at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the town will on Thursday witness a second Pran Pratistha. The construction work on the main temple is nearing completion, with the stage set on June 5 for the consecration of the Ram Darbar made out of white makrana marble on the first floor, depicting Lord Ram in his 'king form', accompanied by Goddess Sita, Hanuman and three brothers. Simultaneously, consecration will also take place at the seven temples dedicated to different deities in the parcotta (rampart) of the main temple on Thursday. However, unlike last year, the town is rather quiet this time around, with the focus mainly on the religious rituals involving 101 Acharyas from different parts of the country including Kashi, Ayodhya, Basti, Delhi, Kolkata, Devprayag, Haridwar, Jammu etc, who have come to perform the rituals for the Ram Darbar as well as the other temples. While activities in the rest of the town are progressing as usual, except for a few restrictions, the chanting of mantras and havans are taking place at the nine Yagya Kundas simultaneously. Since there is no major influx of VIPs, unlike the previous year, traffic restrictions were also kept to a minimum till Thursday. However, on June 5, traffic restrictions have been put in place across the town as Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is set to take part in the consecration rituals and also attend the 'Trayodashi' event to mark the birth anniversary of the Saryu River, as well as Ganga Dussehra functions. June 5 is also Adityanath's 53rd birthday. An official with the Ram Janma Bhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust said that apart from the religious rituals, there would be 'no event this time' and the focus is mainly on the religious rituals this time and on sadhus and acharyas performing the same or would be participating on the final day – Thursday. He pointed out that CM Adityanath has been invited as he is a saint himself and to also mark his birthday. According to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, the Pran Pratishtha rituals will begin at 11 am on Thursday, featuring special worship, vedic chanting and havan ceremonies for the installation of the idols. Trust Secretary Champat Rai informed that these rituals would conclude around 1:30 pm on Thursday, with the performing of arti. Devotees from across the country can continue to visit the Ram Temple as well as Hanuman Garhi temple during the rituals, officials said. Starting June 3, around 12 hours of rituals have been performed daily – from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm. Officials at the Trust informed that while the main Acharya leading the rituals is Jai Prakash Tripathi from Kashi, next to him would be Acharya Chandra Bhanu Sharma from Delhi. Ram Temple Trust member Anil Mishra and his wife will be the main 'Yajman' at the event. On Wednesday, the Utsav Vigrahas (smaller idols for the purpose of celebration) were taken on a tour of the premises. Unlike the first day (Tuesday), apart from the Yagya Mandap, worship was also done at the places where Pran Pratishtha was held. Trust officials informed that from 6:30 am onwards, the invoked deities were worshipped for two hours in the yajna mandap. Then the 'annadhiwas' ritual was carried out, where the idols are offered food. Then, the bathing of the idols was carried out. Later, from 2 pm to 3 pm, the Utsav Vigrahas (or the celebration idols' were taken for a visit to the premises, followed by Shayya Dhiwas, where the idols are put to rest. In the late afternoon, the Vastu Puja of the palaces was performed, where these idols have been placed.

Prasad' scam: Of 3.85cr, .15cr refunded in biggest cyber recovery in UP
Lucknow: In a startling case where devotion was manipulated for deception, Ayodhya Police uncovered a cyber scam in which unsuspecting devotees were duped of Rs 3.85 crore in the name of prasad for Ram Lalla. After the scam was busted, Ayodhya Police successfully refunded Rs 2.15 crore to 3,72,520 victims, marking the largest such refund in a cyber fraud case in Uttar Pradesh. Recovery efforts for the remaining Rs 1.70 crore are still underway. Exploiting the spiritual fervour around the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Ram Temple on Jan 22, 2024, the accused lured lakhs of devotees through a fake website that promised divine offerings delivered to their doorstep. At the heart of the scam was a man named Ashish Singh, originally from Windsor Park, Indirapuram (Ghaziabad), who currently resides in the United States. Posing as a professor at a university in Seattle, Ashish launched the fraudulent portal just weeks before the temple ceremony. Between Dec 19, 2023, and Jan 12, 2024, he collected orders from over 6.3 lakh devotees, both domestic and international, offering "free delivery" of prasad, temple replicas, and commemorative coins. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch vàng CFDs với sàn môi giới tin cậy IC Markets Tìm hiểu thêm Undo But there was a catch—a "facilitation fee" of Rs 51 from Indian users and $11 from overseas devotees would be charged. Through multiple digital payment gateways, including Yes Bank, Paytm, PhonePe, MobiKwik, IDFC, and others, the website amassed a staggering Rs 10.49 crore in transactions, with Rs 3.85 crore attributed to the prasad delivery scam alone. The remaining was for other non-delivered items. The scam came to light when the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust noticed suspicious online activity and flagged it to the Ayodhya Cyber Crime Unit. A criminal case was promptly registered under IPC Section 420, IT Act Section 66D, and Section 12(3) of the Passport Act, 1967. Ashish, seemingly confident of managing the fallout, returned to India on Jan 13 and travelled to Ayodhya—perhaps to negotiate or cover his tracks. He was arrested on arrival and later presented as the mastermind. The police recovered a laptop, two iPhones, Rs 13,970 in cash, $16, and a slew of identity and banking documents, including US and Indian ID cards, debit cards, a driving licence from Washington, and a health card. "This was a scam built on faith. The accused exploited people's religious sentiments. But our team's timely action ensured that faith wasn't betrayed entirely," said SSP Gaurav Grover.

'Pran Pratishtha' At Ayodhya Ram Mandir From Tomorrow: How This Is Different From 2024 Consecration
Last Updated: The 'pran pratishtha' last year primarily focused on the consecration of the Ram Lalla idol in the main temple. This one will focus on consecrating the idols of Ram Darbar Ayodhya is all set to witness another historic 'pran pratishtha', which will be held from June 3 to 5, in the Ram Mandir premises. The three-day event at Ram Darbar is likely to be attended by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, but this is not yet confirmed as this ceremony is strictly for devotees and sans a high-profile guest list. The consecration, meant for the Ram Darbar (housing the 'divine family') will coincide with the festival of Ganga Dussehra. Invitation letters were sent to religious leaders and saints across India. This marks the end of the second phase of the construction of the Ram Mandir, following the grand 'pran pratishtha' of the Ram Lalla idol on January 22, 2024. But, what is the difference between this consecration and the one that took place last year? Both the 'pran pratishtha' ceremonies will be different when it comes to the focus of the rituals. The one last year primarily focused on the consecration of the Ram Lalla (infant) idol in the main temple. But, this one will focus on consecrating the idols of Ram Darbar — featuring the complete divine family of Ram, Sita, Laxman, Bharat, Shatrughn, and Hanuman — and 14 newly constructed temples inside the complex. The 'pran pratishtha' on January 22, 2024, marked the main consecration of the temple and the installation of Ram Lalla in the main sanctum. This one, however, is a new round, establishing Ram Darbar on the first floor sanctum (garbhagriha) and the consecration of the other temples. The ceremony last year was the initial installation of the primary deity, while these will expand the consecration to other parts of the temple complex. The event will have 101 vedic scholars from Kashi and Ayodhya, who will reportedly conduct elaborate ceremonies including yagyashala worship, recitation from Valmiki's Ramayana, chanting of vedic mantras, and traditional 'pran pratishtha rituals'. Before these rituals, a 'Kalash Yatra' will be carried out from Saryu Ghat to the Ram Mandir. Idols of Ram, Laxman, and Sita will be installed on the first floor of the temple. The new portions of the temple are expected to be opened to the public within a week of the June 5 ceremony. Remaining construction work within the temple complex is likely to be completed by September or October. The invitations for the event describe the rectangular circle being built around the main sanctum, at the corners of which temples will be located and on the northern and southern sides of the circle. The invitation states that consecration will be held in temples dedicated to Hindu deities, including Shiva, Ganesha, Hanuman, Surya, Bhagwati, Annapurna and Sheshavatar. It said the rituals will begin at 6.30 am on June 3 and 4 and continue till 6.30 pm, while on the closing day, June 5, the events will end by 1 pm. Each of the eight temples being prepared for the rituals will have two householders serving as patrons and two saints acting as witnesses, as outlined in the official communication. The trust has arranged for morning refreshments and lunch within the temple premises. Dinner, however, is expected to be taken at the invitees' respective ashrams. The trust's invitation emphasises the spiritual significance of the event and urges religious leaders to lend their presence to the ceremonies as sacred witnesses. 'The Ram Darbar is of 4.5 ft. All the other sculptures are built according to that…it has idols of Lord Ram, Goddess Sita, the sun god, Goddess Durga, Lord Hanuman, Saptrishi, Shatrughan, Bharat, annapurana and many others. The idols of Ram and Sita are made from one stone, while the other idols are made of another stone…" sculptor Satyanarayan, who shared insights into the intricate preparations for the sacred idols, told news agency ANI. WHAT ABOUT DEVOTEES? Despite the scale of the rituals and ceremonies, the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra has assured that devotees will be able to have uninterrupted darshan. The trust has put in place all necessary arrangements to ensure that visitors from India and abroad can visit the temple during this period. According to officials, even during high-profile visits by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Droupadi Murmu, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Supreme Court justices, darshan has remained open to the public. A dedicated route for dignitaries ensures that general devotees are not inconvenienced. A large number of devotees have already started coming in, for which guidelines have been issued. Champat Rai, general secretary of the Ram Mandir Trust, has made an appeal to the people not to rush to Ayodhya for 'pran pratishtha'. '…You should come to Ayodhya in the same order. We have not specially invited anyone. Right now there are no such conditions. There may be trouble due to the heat. Devotees should come to Ayodhya at their own convenience," Rai said. Gold plating of Ram temple spires begins in Ayodhya
Construction of the first phase of the Ram temple in Ayodhya was completed last year. An idol of Ram Lalla (child Ram) was consecrated in a ceremony led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 22, 2024. Construction work at other parts of the temple is still going on.
