Bad news for employees of this company as it sacked many employees due to..., not Narayana Murthy's Infosys, Google, Microsoft, IBM, Ratan Tata's TCS, name is... Photo: istock Recent months have been bad for tech employees as several big companies such as Google, Microsoft, and IBM have laid off hundreds of employees. In the same row, employment-oriented social network LinkedIn is going to lay off as many as 281 employees across California. The decision is going to impact the company, reports claimed. The Microsoft-owned professional networking platform has already notified affected employees about the job cuts. The layoffs include 159 roles in Mountain View, 60 in San Francisco, 23 in Sunnyvale, 11 in Carpinteria, and 28 remote workers in California. Larger Wave Of Job Reductions This major decision appears to be part of a broader round of job cuts at the parent company, Microsoft. It is worth noting that 122 Microsoft employees in the Bay Area were terminated earlier this month, as part of the company's plan to reduce its workforce by approximately 6,000 jobs overall. In April, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said that AI is writing up to 30 percent of the company's code, a major reason behind job cuts. As per WARN filing, seen by SF Gate, LinkedIn has laid off hundreds of software engineers. in Mountain View alone the company has fired as many as 71 crucial positions across the categories of software engineers, including staff and senior titles. Notably, this layoff does not include additional specialists working in machine learning, DevOps, and systems infrastructure. However, some of them are also affected. The filing further mentions designations such as desk strategists, product managers, designers among others are impacted. No Details About The Full Extent Of Layoffs The report doesn't have details about the full extent of the layoffs by LinkedIn, which is headquartered in Sunnyvale and Mountain View with several other offices across the world. Neither LinkedIn nor its parent company Microsoft have commented on the reasons for the job cuts, severance packages, or the possibility of future layoffs. This contrasts with 2023, when CEO Ryan Roslansky publicly explained a round of 716 job cuts via email. No such public statement has accompanied these latest reductions. LinkedIn's website currently lists its full-time employee count as between 18,400 and 18,500.

China, Pakistan, Turkiye... everyone kept watching and THIS big European company made a special deal with Ratan Tata's Tata Group

China, Pakistan, Turkiye... everyone kept watching and THIS big European company made a special deal with Ratan Tata's Tata Group Following the success of Made in India weapons during the recent Operation Sindoor, many foreign companies are now showing interest in India's defence sector. Recently, after Russia and Israel, now a European company is also going to work in India in collaboration with Tata Group. Actually, European aviation company Airbus and Tata Group's aerospace branch Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) are going to do a big work together. They will set up a final assembly line (FAL) for H125 helicopters in Kolar, Karnataka. This will be India's first private helicopter assembly facility. This is a big success for the government's 'Make in India' campaign. Under this campaign, the government is trying to become self-reliant in aerospace manufacturing. Not even the name of China-Pakistan This factory will make Airbus's best-selling H125 helicopters which will be for India and neighboring countries. This will be the fourth such facility in the world after France, America and Brazil by completing isolating China, Pakistan and Turkey. Initially, there will be a capacity to make 10 helicopters every year here. But Airbus hopes that in the next 20 years there will be a demand for 500 light helicopters of the H125 class in India and South Asia, so it will be expanded. According to sources, the plant will be set up in the Vemgal Industrial Area, which is about two hours away from Bengaluru. TASL already has other facilities here, including a satellite manufacturing plant. Sources said Karnataka was chosen among several locations like Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat because the state already has a good system of aerospace manufacturing. Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh was also a strong contender. It had gained international recognition after Kia Motors' manufacturing unit there. But Karnataka was chosen because TASL has a strong support system here. TASL will build this plant. Big work of Tata's company Tata's company recently bought a 7.4 lakh sq ft plot in Karnataka's Vemgal Industrial Area. An aircraft manufacturing and final assembly line, including maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facilities, will be set up here. A person associated with the project said that the locations were chosen based on their logistics facilities, expansion potential, availability of skilled workforce and promises from the state government such as fast track approval of permissions.

Ratan Tata's Tata Group to turn Tripura Royal Palace into a 5 star hotel, it will have 100 rooms, 4 regal style suites, its worth Rs… Back in the times when royals ruled the land, their palaces echoed with the footsteps of kings and queens whose lavish palaces were nothing short of a masterpiece. The palatial structure entailing a rich Indian heritage was all bits of grandeur and regality. Imagine today you can live in one of them and experience this royalty. The 100-year-old Pushpabanta Palace in Agartala has made this dream possible with its transformation. Being converted from a palace to a luxurious 5-star heritage hotel, this project will be led by the Tata Group Indian Hotels Company Limited (ICHL), which is also popularly known for running the Taj Hotels chain. This decision was taken after the Tripura government signed an MoU with the Tata Group company, Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), for this transformation. Once the hotel is ready, it will be named as Taj Pushpabanta Palace. Giving the amalgamation of both luxe and grandeur, the aim is to give guests a taste of a palace that exhibits royal life, as well as enhancing tourism in the state. Built by Maharaja Birendra Kishore Manikya Bahadur in 1917, this palace is also known by the name Kunjaban Palace, and it served royal residence for many decades until later in 2018, it was used as the Governor's house. Later in 2018, Raj Bhavan was shifted somewhere else, and the palace has fallen into disuse until now. In the luxury hotel being proposed, there will be about 100 rooms in total, which include four regal-style suites located in the main palace that will be built to emulate a palace experience. The rest of the rooms will be placed around the palace in a way that will not hamper the original structure's beauty. The overall project is anticipated to have a budget of approximately ₹250 crores. The preservation of the original design and the historical features of the palace is considered one of the defining factors of this project. The reception, as well as other public spaces of the hotel, will be located in the central portion of the palace. Restoration work will be undertaken without compromising the heritage charm, which includes the legacy of the Manikya dynasty. Royal heritage will be showcased through the furnishings and the interiors, which will be aimed at the guests to soak in the aesthetics. The aim of promoting tourism and developing this project is likely to create attendance opportunities for more than 200 direct workers and other travel service providers, and indirectly to local shop owners, artisans, and other services. The rise in economic activity due to the increase in tourism is likely to change life in the entire area tremendously. According to the understanding made, the palace and 7.78 acres of land will be leased for 60 years to IHCL with the chance of providing another 30-year lease extension. The state of Tripura received a new investment zone for which is trying to focus on creating employment opportunities and generating investment within the state, which was described by Dr. Manik Saha as 'a historic step' when placing additional infrastructure for growth. This initiative, with the revival of the palace, will not only elevate tourism but also witness India's royal legacy.
