Boardmasters Festival 2025: ultimate guide to line-up, stage times, full timetable and programme, tickets and dates
Not many music festivals come with their own surfing competition, but that's what makes Boardmasters so special. This year you can catch the likes of Raye, the Rizzle Kicks, Central Cee, Nelly Furtado and many, many more on the Cornish shores, and it's set to be a pretty lovely weekend weather-wise too. No 30C heatwaves or tropical thunderstorms are predicted, just regular old sun. Alternatively, book a day entry + return coach package which will take you home after the music's done. You can get those here. If your heart is still set on camping, and you're willing to pay a hefty price for it, there are still VIP camping passes up for grabs, which you can buy here. How to get to Boardmasters Festival Cornwall is not the easiest place to get to from pretty much anywhere else in the country, but you have a few different transport options. Train The nearest train station is Newquay, and there will be a shuttle service between the station and the festival ground available for £10. You will likely need to transfer trains at some point on your journey, so be aware of that. Shuttle bus The shuttle bus service is only £10, and gets you an unlimited pass for the weekend so you can make as many journeys to and from the campsite as you like. It runs between the Fistral and Watergate sites via Newquay train station and runs all day, and into the early hours of the morning. Coach If you've booked a coach with Big Green Coach, the festival's partner, you'll get dropped off right at the grounds. There are still a few coach tickets available from certain cities across the UK – you can have a look and get your last minute tickets here. Plane If you're flying in to Newquay, the easiest way to get to the venue is by taxi. It's a very short journey, and will take you right to the campsite entrance. Car and parking There is onsite parking available for anyone driving down. It's sold out now, but if you did manage to book parking, follow the green route as you get near Newquay. It will guide you to where you need to go. Are there any banned items? To ensure the festival goes ahead smoothly, there's a few things you're not allowed to bring with you. Here's a complete list of the banned items for Boardmasters: Animals (expect assistance dogs) Aerosols (excluding suncream and deodorant. Liquid suncream and roll-on deodorant are permitted) Bladed items, including multi tools Candles or sky lanterns Anything that could be reasonably considered for use as a weapon Campfires Drones or remote controlled flying devices Fireworks, flares, smoke bombs or smoke machines Food into the main arena (sealed food can be brought into the campsite). Nelly Furtado stuns in tiny hotpants as wows crowd at Boardmasters Festival
The I'm Like A Bird singer took to the stage at Boardmasters Festival in a quirky and colourful outfit as she performed some of her biggest hits Pop icon Nelly Furtado wowed audiences with a quirky choice of outfit at the Boardmasters Festival in Cornwall on Saturday. The 47-year-old made sure all eyes were on her as she stunned in a pair of high-waisted green ruffled hotpants. She paired it with a matching green wrap-around top and some giant furry sleeves as she sang some of her greatest hits including Maneater and I'm Like A Bird. Nelly wore a pair of white boots with a chain detailing and accessorised with some tinted green sunglasses and silver earrings, necklace and bracelets. The performer was all smiles as she interacted with her fans in the audience. It comes after an exciting heatwave forecast with maps revealing the exact date a 39C heat plume will scorch the UK. The singer is just one of the big-name acts performing at the sunny three-day festival, with several other huge names performing, including Raye, Leigh-Anne, Kaiser Chiefs, Krept and Kronan and The Prodigy. The Canadian songwriter's colourful appearance comes after she revealed last year that her skin was often lightened in magazine photoshoots. Nelly, whose parents immigrated from Portugal, told People: '"I have olive skin, and they'd kind of lighten my skin a lot in photos and kind of take my hips down all the time they would always cut off in editorials.' She also mentioned that there was a 'lot of airbrushing' during her peak fame years. This isn't the first time she opened up about the worrying trend as her 2003 song Powerless had lyrics that stated: 'Paint my face in your magazines, Make it look whiter than it seems, Paint me over with your dreams, Shove away my ethnicity.' Reflecting on her experience, she continued: '"By my second album, I guess I was kind of angry about it." Despite these challenges, Nelly said she felt 'so lucky and blessed' and had a good team around her who were looking out for her best interests. She's one of the most successful Canadian artists, having sold over 45 million records, including 35 million in album sales worldwide. Nelly first shot to fame when she released her trip hop inspired debut album, Whoa, Nelly! In 2000. Her debut project was both a critical and commercial success, with two singles hitting the Billboard Top 100, namely I'm Like A Bird and Turn Off The Lights. She released her second album, Folklore, in 2003 and this time around, she experimented with and explored her Portuguese heritage. The legend went on to release a further five albums over a 14-year-span, with her latest offering, 7, releasing just last year.

Bonnie Tyler wants to record next James Bond theme
Bonnie Tyler has offered to record the next James Bond theme. The veteran performer previously turned down the chance to record the title music for 1983's Never Say Never Again - which starred Sir Sean Connery but was not made by Eon Productions - and Bonnie admits she'd love to be given another shot at singing a theme for 007. She told The Telegraph newspaper: "I'd love to do a Bond theme because I turned one down for Never Say Never Again. My God, I was so excited when they asked me, but then I heard the song and I didn't believe in it. "So, please, if anybody's reading this, I wish they'd ask me again because I want a Bond song." The theme for for Never Say Never Again was recorded by Lani Hall after Bonnie turned it down. The next Bond movie will be the first produced by Amazon MGM Studios following the surprise departures of long-term producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson. The hunt is on for a new actor to play the lead role, but studio bosses have already hired Dune moviemaker Denis Villneuve to direct and Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight has been brought onboard to write the script. There has been no word on who will get the honour of performing the film's theme, but bookmakers William Hill recently tipped Raye and Dua Lipa to be among the frontrunners alongside other stars including Chappell Roan, Lana Del Rey and Ed Sheeran. Last month Lee Phelps, spokesperson for William Hill, said: 'After Denis Villeneuve was revealed as the director of James Bond 26, talk of who will sing the theme song has really begun to hot up. "Following her blistering performance at Glastonbury, Raye is our new 6/4 favourite to do the honours, jumping ahead of Dua Lipa in the betting, who is now 5/2. "The top five in the betting are all female artists, with Chappell Roan, Lana Del Rey and Lady Gaga all towards the top of the market. The most likely male options look to be one of Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles or Michael Buble, all of whom are 20/1 shots."
