Teddi Mellencamp puts on brave face as she steps out amid 'heartbreaking' health update and attempted break-in

Teddi Mellencamp didn't let her latest struggles hold her back when she stepped out in Los Angeles on Thursday. The 44-year-old former Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star was spotted leaving her home in Encino as she waited for a limo to chauffeur her to her destination. Despite confessing that she hadn't been feeling well in recent days, she was looking her best with her chic new hairdo that she unveiled the day before. Teddi could be seen at one point taking a call, and she bared a refreshing smile despite sharing devastating health news related to her cancer battle with her followers this week. Her outing also came in the wake of a scary break-in attempt that was luckily averted by a top-notch security system. Teddi looked comfortable and stylish for her day out with a flowing black-and-brown patterned jumpsuit with spaghetti straps. The summer look showed off her toned arms, and she paired the outfit with unusual sandals with odd rope-like braids. She paired her peroxide-blond buzz cut with a tasteful pair of pink-tinted oversize aviator sunglasses, and she kept her accessories minimal with a small black crossbody bag. Prior to unveiling her new hair look, Teddi had previously disguised her treatment-related hair loss with a variety of wigs, and she even rocked an edgy close-cropped buzz cut that revealed her scars and bald patches from chemotherapy and brain surgery. For her latest hairdo, Teddi revealed a freshly styled but thicker version of her buzz cut, this time dyed a chic platinum blond. She sounded hesitant at the reveal, writing, 'Let's see how long this lasts.' The reality star, who also credited her hair stylist, shared on Wednesday's episode of her podcast Two Ts In A Pod that her current immunotherapy treatments have begun to make her feel worse than before she started them. 'Essentially, what we figured out with me was, yes, I started out feeling great, and I could do all the pods and I could do all these things, and I could go to all my daughter's horse shows and I could stay at my house by myself, and I felt really strong,' she said while chatting with her co-host Tamra Judge. 'And what's happening with me is the longer that I'm on immunotherapy, the sicker it's making me.' Teddi unveiled her latest look on Wednesday amid her brutal battle with cancer. The same day, she revealed on her Two Ts In A Pod podcast that her immunotherapy treatments have been making her feel 'sicker'; seen in Beverly Hills in May Teddi said she had been consulting with her doctors on how to proceed, and they had decided to temporarily halt the immunotherapy treatments because they had been wracking her body 'incredibly hard.' 'We're going to take a little break on the immunotherapy to get my body back feeling stronger,' Teddi declared. She clarified that she was currently taking steroids to help alleviate the side effects of the immunotherapy. 'We're doing everything that we can to get me back to feeling like I, you know, I can do this, I can do all the things,' Teddi added. She said that she had lately been dealing with highly variable energy levels, where some days she could do all her usual tasks, while other days she struggled to fulfill her responsibilities without getting too fatigued. Teddi also noted that she has had difficulties with her memory and sometimes struggled to recall gossip from earlier RHOBH episodes when recording her podcast. However, it wasn't clear if those memory side effects were due to her latest round of treatments, or if they could have stemmed from her brain tumors. The daughter of John Mellencamp previously revealed that she had been diagnosed with several melanomas in 2022, and the surgeries to remove them in recent years have left a patchwork of scars across her back and shoulders. She even rocked an edgy close-cropped buzz cut that revealed her scars and bald patches from chemotherapy and brain surgery In February, she revealed that her skin cancer had metastasized and spread to her brain, with the resulting tumors causing devastating headaches that had grown in intensity in the weeks leading up to their discovery. She shared with her fans in April of this year that her melanomas were now considered stage IV after metastasizing and spreading to her lungs and brain. Patients diagnosed with stage IV cancer also have a greater likelihood of dying from the disease, though it can still be reversed at that point, or at least treated well enough to prolong a patient's life for a considerable amount of time. Teddi has subsequently called out commenters on her Instagram posts who have suggested she has little time left. During her somber health update, she clarified that she doesn't want to fill her fans' 'feed with cancer' news. 'I know that can be a depressing topic,' she admitted. 'But I also want [people to know that] if you're going through something like this, things are going to change and that's OK,' Teddi said. 'The hardest thing for me has been kind of the wake up call of "Wow, I can't do what I did yesterday," or "Wow, I can't do what I did three weeks ago,"' she added. Teddi also reiterated that her cancer hasn't just upended her life, but has also severely affected her children. 'It's changed my kids' life. It's changed my relationship with Edwin [Arroyave],' she said, referring to her estranged husband. 'You guys all know that we were filing for divorce. Nothing's changed in that other than that we're on hold because of what's happening to me medically,' she explained. 'But he's had to step in and help me because some days I can't do it.' Teddi and Edwin share three children: daughters Slate, 12, and Dove, four, as well as their 10-year-old son Cruz. The former Real Housewife is all the stepmother of Edwin's oldest daughter, 16-year-old Isabella. In a recent interview with her friend and former RHOBH costar Kyle Richards, Teddi revealed that her doctors opted not to order more advanced scans after initially discovering her stage I melanomas, which might have revealed that her cancer was spreading. She urged others diagnosed with cancer to advocate for themselves and to be more actively involved in their treatment as a result.

Denise Richards's estranged husband claims she made up abuse claims

Aaron Phypers, left, and Denise Richards attend a premiere on Aug 8, 2024, in Los Angeles, California, US. Photo: TNS Aaron Phypers is claiming that Denise Richards manufactured allegations of abuse as a means to distract from an affair that he uncovered earlier this year. Less than two weeks after filing for divorce from the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills alum, 52-year-old Phypers told TMZ during a virtual interview that he learned his wife was cheating when he found illicit texts on her laptop back in February. He says he confronted Richards who begged Phypers not to leave her, assuring him she was 'so sorry' and 'won't do that again.' They decided to stay together, but Phypers says he later found texts going up until late May. Fast forward to July 4 weekend, Phypers claims Richards stole his phone and denied having it – at one point even 'hitting' and 'scratching' him when he questioned her about the device. Phypers says he found the phone a day later smashed in their recycling bin, but she continued to deny having anything to do with it. Asked why he thinks Richards would destroy his phone, Phypers says the device had photos of all the texts that would prove her alleged affair. Phypers filed for divorce on July 7, citing irreconcilable differences and asking for spousal support. Richards followed that earlier last week by requesting a temporary restraining order against Phypers, noting allegations of longstanding abuse including claims that he would 'violently choke' her and 'slam (her) head into the bathroom towel rack.' The court filing, obtained by TMZ, included a photo from 2022 showing Richards with a black eye, which she alleges her husband gave her. Phypers meanwhile insists it was the result of Richards taking a drunken fall at his office and hitting her head on 'a pole with a light on it.' Phypers claims other people were also present and can attest to the incident, adding that Richards 'falls down a lot and it's embarrassing. … It's scary.' Phypers asserts that he has never 'hit (his) wife in the face, ever,' but does admit to having forcefully grabbed her on various occasions. 'I grabbed and restrained her when she was punching Sami,' he claims of the 21-year-old daughter Richards shares with ex-husband Charlie Sheen. The exes also share daughter Lola, 20. Phypers says that Richards' allegations have put him in 'grave danger,' particularly on a financial level. 'The fact that she put this thing about me beating her, I'm like devastated,' he adds. 'I wanted to work it out. But she's gotta get help. It's not for me now, it's for herself and her daughters. I'm really worried about Eloise. It's not a good situation. … She's gotta get cleaned up and be responsible and own what she's doing.' Though Phypers confirmed in February that he'd become the adoptive father to Richards' 14-year-old adopted daughter Eloise, court documents say the spouses have 'no minor children' together. The Daily News has reached out to a rep for Richards. – New York Daily News/Tribune News Service

Photo: TNS Septuagenarian Kelsey Grammer is gearing up to welcome his eighth child, who will be over four decades younger than the actor's eldest. The Emmy-winning Frasier star, 70, and his third wife, Kayte Walsh, are expecting their fourth child together, according to photos People published of the parents-to-be walking in London. Though it's unclear when the couple — who got together during his marriage to Camille Grammer — will welcome their newest addition, the due date looks like it could be around the corner as 46-year-old Walsh appeared heavily pregnant. The news comes just over a month after Grammer spoke to the outlet about juggling his seven other children, aged 12 to 41, he shares with four women. 'I have neglected a couple of the kids in my life, especially the first two,' he said of daughters Spencer, 41, and Greer, 33. The 41-year-old Greek star was the only child from Grammer's first marriage to Doreen Alderman. Her younger sister, best known for the show Awkward , was born to Grammer and then-girlfriend Barrie Buckner, months before he wed dancer Leigh-Anne Csuhany. That marriage was annulled the following year and produced no children. Grammer has daughter Mason, 23, and son Jude, 20, from his marriage to Camille Grammer, the demise of which was chronicled in the first season of Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills . 'I'm not proud of the way we started out,' Walsh told Oprah Winfrey in 2012, during the couple's sit-down to discuss their affair, during which Grammer wouldn't even say his ex's name. Together, Grammer and Walsh are parents to daughter Faith, 12, as well as sons Kelsey, 10, and eight-year-old Auden. – New York Daily News/Tribune News Service
