Realme GT 7 vs Realme GT 7T: India price, specs and features compared
The Realme GT series has been refreshed in India with the launch of two new smartphones — the Realme GT 7 and GT 7T, successors to last year's GT 6 and GT 6T. Just like the previous generation, the new GT 7 series devices are quite evenly matched. Neither phone is drastically better than the other, and both are so good for their price that it's tough to recommend one over the other. So, should you buy the Realme GT 7 simply because it's the more expensive option? Or does the GT 7T make more sense, offering smarter value in terms of features and price? Here's a detailed comparison to help you GT 7 vs Realme GT 7T: Design and buildWhen it comes to design and build, both phones are strikingly similar. The Realme GT 7 weighs 206 grams and is 8.3mm thick, while the GT 7T is slightly lighter at 203 grams but has the same thickness. The Ice Blue and Ice Black colours on both are so close, it's genuinely difficult to tell them phones come with a plastic frame and a fibreglass back panel. Realme claims it's the world's first graphene backcover on a smartphone, designed to keep the surface cool and comfortable to touch. You also get ArmorShell glass protection for the display. However, there are some visual differences. The Realme GT 7T comes in a dual-tone Racing Yellow variant that stands out, while the GT 7 has a special Aston Martin Dream Edition. This version is a bit bulkier, weighing 211 grams and measuring 8.7mm this round is more or less a draw. In fact, the Realme GT 7T deserves extra credit for offering almost the same premium feel and look as the more expensive GT 7, but at a lower GT 7 vs Realme GT 7T: DisplayThere's no major difference here either. Both phones come with flat 6.8-inch AMOLED panels with 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate and a whopping 6,000 nits of peak brightness. They also feature a 2,600Hz instant touch sampling rate, making them highly responsive during use. Interestingly, the Chinese version of the GT 7 gets a 144Hz panel, but the Indian version sticks with 120Hz — the same display that's also used on the GT both devices offer a top-notch viewing experience, but it feels like an even better deal on the more affordable GT GT 7 vs Realme GT 7T: PerformanceThis is where the real difference lies. Both phones come with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. However, they differ significantly in terms of processing Realme GT 7T is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Max chipset — a very capable mid-range processor that outperforms rivals like the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 and Exynos 1480 in this price bracket. It's a solid performer and handles most tasks with the other hand, the Realme GT 7 is in a completely different league. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e, this chipset competes with flagship processors like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and the recently announced Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. It's an enhanced version of the Dimensity 9300+, which powers premium devices like the Vivo X100s Pro in while the Realme GT 7T is no slouch, the GT 7 delivers top-tier flagship-level performance without the typical flagship price. It can easily go head-to-head with the iQOO 12 or OnePlus 13R (competing phones priced around Rs 45,000), and possibly even outperform them in some GT 7 vs Realme GT 7T: CameraCamera performance is another key difference. The Realme GT 7 features a 50-megapixel IMX906 primary sensor, along with a 50-megapixel telephoto lens and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. You also get a 32-megapixel selfie camera on the Realme GT 7T, meanwhile, comes with a 50-megapixel IMX896 primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and the same 32-megapixel front camera. However, it lacks a telephoto Realme GT 7 has a clear edge here thanks to its zoom capabilities and the more advanced ISP (image signal processor) in the Dimensity 9400e. It supports 8K at 30fps and 4K at up to 120fps. It can also shoot 4K/60fps from the rear and front Realme GT 7T is more limited in this regard. It can shoot up to 4K/60fps from the rear and front cameras, but doesn't offer the same video flexibility as the GT GT 7 vs Realme GT 7T: Battery and chargingBoth the Realme GT 7 and GT 7T feature 7,000mAh batteries and support 120W fast charging, with the charger included in the box. They take about 40 minutes to fully charge and support bypass charging, which is handy while gaming. One small advantage of the GT 7 is that it offers 7.5W reverse wired charging — a feature missing on the GT 7T. It's a minor perk, but worth GT 7 vs Realme GT 7T: Price in IndiaThe Realme GT 7 price in India starts at Rs 39,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage version. The 12GB RAM variants with 256GB and 512GB storage are priced at Rs 42,999 and Rs 46,999, respectively. The 16GB RAM + 512GB storage option (Dream Edition) costs Rs 49, Realme GT 7T, on the other hand, is priced starting at Rs 34,999 for the base 8GB RAM + 256GB storage option. The 12GB RAM variants with 256GB and 512GB storage cost Rs 37,999 and Rs 41,999, GT 7 vs Realme GT 7T: Final thoughtsBoth the Realme GT 7 and GT 7T are impressive devices that punch well above their weight. The GT 7T stands out as a smart buy for most users, offering a flagship-like experience at a more budget-friendly price. It nails the essentials — great display, strong performance, solid cameras — without cutting too many if you're someone who wants the absolute best performance, a superior camera setup, and some added premium touches, then the Realme GT 7 is worth the extra spend. It doesn't just compete with pricier phones — it might actually outperform the end, it all depends on your budget and what you value most in a phone. Either way, Realme's latest GT 7 series has made sure there's something solid for everyone.

Realme GT 7 Goes Premium With Aston Martin Partnership
Realme GT 7 Dream Edition Ben Sin I've been covering the mobile brand Realme since the company first got its start in 2018. At the time a sub-brand spun off from Chinese tech giant Oppo, Realme focused on manufacturing very affordable handsets that performed far better than the price tag would suggest. In the last few years, Realme has slowly moved into the flagship handset space, and at a launch event in Paris on Tuesday, Realme has gone full premium with a special edition phone made in collaboration with British luxury sports car maker Aston Martin. The GT 7 Dream Edition Realme Named the GT 7 Dream Edition, the €900 (about $1,019) phone features the largest battery in a conventional smartphone yet — 7,000 mAh — and is powered by the just-announced MediaTek Dimensity 9400e, a 4nm silicon that sits second in the pecking order of the Taiwan silicon maker's chipset collection. Despite the gigantic 7,000 mAh battery, the phone measures only 8.3mm and weighs 206g, that's the same thickness as the best iPhone, and 20g lighter. The best iPhone (Pro Max), by the way, only packs a 4,685 mAh battery. Realme GT 7 6.8-inch OLED display Ben Sin How did Realme manage to cram such a large battery in a thin body? It is using new silicon-carbon battery tech that is more energy dense than conventional lithium-ion battery. This battery tech has already made its debut in devices from Realme's former parent brand, Oppo. The phone also has a back plate crafted out of a combination of glass and graphene, the latter material helps keep the phone lighter and cooler. This back plate is also where most of the Aston Martin design comes into play: there's the silver wing logo, of course, but also a two-tone design with lines painted on the side to resemble aerodynamic wings. The device also comes a premium packaging with customized phone case and SIM ejection tool. The SIM Ejection tool Realme The display is also top notch, a 6.8-inch OLED panel with refresh rate up to 120Hz, and a triple camera system rounds out the rest of the hardware. If you don't care about the Aston Martin branding but find the phone's hardware intriguing, there's a standard Realme GT 7 that retails for about $700 that has the same internal components including the new silicon and large battery. Chinese phone brands teaming up with iconic luxury European brands for special edition phones are nothing new, but previously, these partnerships came from huge brands like Huawei and Xiaomi. Realme, jumping into the fray shows it is looking to level up and not be seen as a budget phone maker anymore.

Realme bets on flagship GT7, number series to hit 18% market share in India this year
Paris: Chinese smartphone brand Realme is placing a strong bet on its newly launched GT7 series and an upcoming number series to accelerate growth in the Indian market. Chase Xu , Realme's Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, said the company has been gradually increasing its market share in India through a range of marketing initiatives, even as the overall smartphone industry experiences a slowdown. Realme has set an ambitious target of capturing an 18% market share in India by 2025 and believes it is well-positioned to reach this goal, Xu told ETTelecom in an interview. The brand currently holds around 12% market share in India. 'We saw strong growth in Q1, and in the second half of the year, we face three key battles—GT series sales, the new number series, and the festive Diwali season. If we succeed in all three, we're confident of achieving the goal we set last year,' Xu said. On Tuesday, Realme announced a strategic partnership with Aston Martin for the GT series, unveiling a limited-edition GT Dream Edition model. Xu also hinted at a forthcoming brand collaboration for the number series, signaling that such partnerships are central to Realme's next phase of growth globally and in the Indian market. Realme's product strategy is based on a deep understanding of the diverse needs and feedback of Indian consumers. Xu said, "We have thoughtfully structured our portfolio into distinct series, each designed to address specific user preferences and priorities. This approach enables us to deliver more targeted value and offer a personalized experience tailored to different user segments." However, to sharpen its focus, Realme plans to reduce the number of launches in other product lines, including the number and P series, in order to prioritize quality and used experience. One of Realme's standout differentiators in the competitive smartphone market is its strategic integration of artificial intelligence (AI) across its product lineup. By leveraging AI, Realme enhances everything from camera performance and battery optimization to user interface personalization, delivering smarter, more intuitive experiences that align with the evolving needs of tech-savvy Indian consumers. This focus on intelligent features sets Realme apart and reinforces its commitment to innovation-driven value, he said.
