Song Joong Ki wants to visit supermarkets in the Philippines

Song Joong Ki has a surprising spot in mind for his next trip to the Philippines. At the press conference ahead of his first fan meeting in Manila on Saturday, the actor said that aside from going to island destinations for vacations, he hopes to visit local supermarkets in the country. 'I want to visit the supermarket and buy a lot of, you know, local biscuits as well and bring it to Korea,' he said. Song Joong Ki added he prefers going around like a local when traveling to other countries as well. 'The places that the Filipino locals really go on a daily basis, those are the places that [I want] to look around,' he said. 'Public market, the market, the local restaurants, the vibes to feel that I'm in the local places.' Unfortunately, the actor is leaving the country tomorrow, Sunday, so he is unable to check off his Philippine bucket list. 'Due to the short period of time that I have here in the Philippines, I won't be able to make that plan work. But the next time I come back to the Philippines, I really want to pursue that kind of schedule, [that] tour schedule for [the next] visit in Manila,' the Hallyu icon said. Song Joong Ki is best known for his roles in 'Vincenzo,' 'Reborn Rich,' 'Werewolf Boy,' and 'Space Sweepers,' among many others. Previously, he had a cameo appearance in the hit series "Queen of Tears" as Vincenzo. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
