Liam Gallagher reveals he'll perform with Noel for first time in SIXTEEN YEARS tomorrow as Oasis reunite ahead of tour

IT'S THE tour that Oasis fans around the world have been waiting for, and now Liam Gallagher has revealed even more exciting news. The "mad for it" star, 52, has revealed he'll perform with brother Noel, 58, for first time in 16 years - TOMORROW. 5 5 5 Liam revealed he's set to begin rehearsals for the Oasis tour - which will be the first time the band have played together since 2009. The group's last gig was at V Festival that year, before they split following a huge row backstage at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris. The former feuding brothers have now put their differences aside as they get ready for the tour of the decade which kicks off next month. Noel and the rest of the Oasis have already kicked off rehearsals, but now it's time for Liam to join them. The singer revealed the news in a X/Twitter chat yesterday. One fan asked: "Happy Sunday man! Are you ready for rehearsals "There are only a few days left and you're joining the others?' To which Liam replied: "Yes Rasta D I'm in Tuesday to blow there minds [sic]." Another fan asked whether the Wonderwall singer was "excited" to begin rehearsals, to which Liam replied: "Can't wait." REAL REASON FOR REUNION REAL reason for Oasis getting back together. Inside Noel & Liam Gallagher's first Oasis show in 16 years at surprise venue where they enraged neighbour According to our sources, Noel's eldest daughter Anais Gallagher was instrumental in helping her famous father and his brother Liam get talking again. The model, who is from Noel's first marriage to Meg Mathews, got to work on healing the rift, following her dad's split from second wife Sara MacDonald. The 25-year-old figured the breakdown of her dad's marriage could be an opportunity for her dad to focus on getting Oasis back together, and also reconcile with his younger sibling. An insider said: 'Anais was one of the biggest sources of comfort and support for Noel following his divorce. "She was the one that was helping him get back on his feet and return to doing things he loved that had fallen by the wayside. 'Over the years, Noel had offered an olive branch to Liam, but he'd never taken it up. 'Anais could tell her dad really wanted both his brothers, Liam and Paul, by his side after the split so was determined to get them back in touch. 'She gets on great with Liam's sons Gene and Lennon so she asked them if their dad would be willing to hear her out. Liam later apologises publicly to Anais. 2020 - Liam urges Noel to reunite for a one-off charity gig. 'They said they thought he would be receptive, so she then asked Liam to reach out to his brother to lend support. 'Liam's always wanted Oasis back together so he got in touch.' The source said: 'It was all very slow-going behind the scenes to get the brothers talking again. 'Anais spending so much time with her dad allowed her to realise how much he missed his brother, despite the jibes they both made. 'It enabled her to plant the idea of a reconciliation on both sides. Thanks to her close relationship with Liam, she was able to call him. 'She worked hard to make sure they didn't look back in anger, if you like. 'Once Liam called Noel, the rest was left up to them.' The Gallagher brothers announced the big Oasis reunion in August last year, which sent fans into meltdown trying to get a tickets. The band are expected will make millions from their world tour, which kicks off in July. 5

Code of Silence review: ITV's new crime drama is a creaky old bus, but Rose Ayling-Ellis will persuade you to get on board

Dramas centring around deafness seem to be like buses – you wait ages for one, and then two come along at once. Sign up to our daily newsletter Sign up Thank you for signing up! And like BBC's Reunion, this week's new ITV drama Code of Silence (ITV1, Sun/Mon, 9pm) also stars former EastEnder and Strictly champ Rose Ayling-Ellis. It's not her fault that her two starring roles have been scheduled together, but Code of Silence suffers in comparison with the harder-edged Reunion. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad In the new ITV show, Ayling-Ellis's Alison is a young woman in flux – her relationship has broken down, she's living at home with her mum and under threat from a new landlord and she has two dull jobs to help her pay the rent. Rose Ayling-Ellis takes the lead role of Alison, a canteen worker who uses her lip-reading skills to help the police, in the new ITV drama Code of SIlence (Picture: Mammoth Screen/ITV) One of those dull jobs is in a police station canteen, which brings her to the attention of coppers DI James Marsh (Andrew Buchan) and DS Ashleigh Francis (Charlotte Ritchie). They're tracking a gang of robbers planning its next job, and while they can get close enough to the group to get video surveillance, and they can track the text messages of the gang boss's driver, they can't apparently hear what they're saying. So they call upon Alison and her lip-reading skills to gain vital intelligence. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad This is where Code of Silence begins to strain credulity – the fact that they can get so close, find out so much, but basic levels of audio surveillance seem to be beyond them. Charlotte Ritchie stars as DS Ashleigh Francis in the new ITV drama Code of Silence (Picture: Mammoth Screen/ITV) Alison gets deeper into her crime-cracking role, despite the coppers repeatedly telling her to 'leave the detecting to us', and by episode two they are perfectly happy to embed her in the pub the gang uses as its HQ. This despite her lying to them about a burgeoning relationship with a new member of the gang, Liam (Kieron Moore), and nervously hanging about staring at the gang members in efforts to lip-read their nefarious plots. Meantime, the gang members are given codenames straight out of Gladiators – Hulk and Wolf – and seem to enjoy gathering for summit meetings in children's play parks, which would rouse the suspicions of even the most neglectful parent. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad The sub-plot surrounding the new landlord and their plans to redevelop the estate where Alison and her mum live is so hammered home that it must have some sort of relevance later on the series, but you spend the first two episodes wondering where the link is. Rose Ayling-Ellis stars as Alison Brooks in the new ITV drama Code of SIlence (Picture: Mammoth Screen/ITV) Where Code of Silence is largely down to its lead actress. Ayling-Ellis is great at showing how much she's been waiting for the thrill of her new life. After constantly being relegated to dead-end jobs, the stultifying, hard grind of doing so much and finding out it's only just enough to get by, she is clearly intoxicated by the idea that she might finally have found a role of value, which will also see her being valued. 'I don't want to be hearing,' she tells her mum, 'I just want them to be a bit deaf. I'm fed up trying to prove myself.' Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Despite the Keystone Cops vibe of DI Marsh and DS Francis, you buy completely Alison's determination to help, to show that she is more than the labels society has placed upon her. Meanwhile, however, the other characters are little more than cyphers – the villains all glowering looks, lowered eyebrows and raspy voices, newcomer Liam clearly a boy from the wrong side of the tracks in over his head, and the police officers dense and inept. Ultimately, it's Ayling-Ellis who persuades you to get on board this creaky old bus – let's just hope it makes it to the right destination.

North Malaita Constituency Tribal Reconciliation Paves The Way Forward For Development

Press Release – Solomon Islands MRD Mr. Nunufia further stated that, under the leadership of the Member of Parliament, Honourable Daniel Waneoroa, settling land disputes, reuniting tribes and people, and addressing land issues remain top priorities for fostering development in the … The North Malaita Constituency (NMC) office recently conducted a historic tribal reconciliation program, signifying its readiness to progress socio-economic development for its people and the rest of the constituency. Held at Fo'ondo from 25th to 27th April 2025, the event was organized specifically for the Abua'ero tribal clan. It was successfully celebrated under the theme: ' A Journey of Reconciliation, Reunion, and Restoration of the Abua'ero Tribal Clan'. The reconciliation aimed not only to resolve grievances and disputes but also to reunite and restore family relationships, paving the way for tangible development in their land. This initiative was organized by the constituency office under its Land and Tribal Reconciliation program. It was co-funded by the constituency office in collaboration with the Abua'ero tribe, individual families, and other stakeholders. 'Development cannot happen in the air. It happens on the land. So, preparing people and their land for development is paramount,' Constituency Development Officer (CDO) Nason Nunufia said. Mr. Nunufia further stated that, under the leadership of the Member of Parliament, Honourable Daniel Waneoroa, settling land disputes, reuniting tribes and people, and addressing land issues remain top priorities for fostering development in the constituency. 'Since most of our lands are tribally owned, we must come up with models and avenues to engage people in a people-centred approach to deal with land issues and disputes, a collective paradigm,' Mr. Nunufia emphasized. He further underscored that 'The constituency office believes that for real development to happen, reconciliation must first take place. This is to ensure that people are prepared, organized, and ready to embrace development in their own land.' At the same time, Mr. Nunufia said that one of the major hindrances to development in our country is land disputes, an issue that requires a multifaceted approach involving an understanding of the complexities of our customary land tenancy arrangement, community leaders' involvement, and the implementation of practical dispute resolution mechanisms. A senior officer from the Ministry of Traditional Governance, Ben Oto'ofa, facilitated the reconciliation ceremony. The event also saw the transfer of tribal leadership titles from Elder Paramount Chief Philip Akote'e Damirara to Silas Benono Wawane, who is now the new Abua'ero Tribal Chief. CDO Nunufia described the event as emotional and historic, noting that it reunited families for the first time since their great-grandfathers left the land between 1910, some 115 years ago, 'especially our lineage from Kwara'ae.' Families gathered and reunited during the program came from Western Province, Kwara'ae, Langalanga, and North Malaita. Meanwhile, on behalf of the constituency office, CDO Nunufia acknowledged the new Abua'ero Tribal Chief, Silas Wawane, along with his family, Ben Tobis and his family, Kenley and his family, stakeholders, individual families, and everyone who contributed resources that made the program a success. He also expressed profound gratitude to Hon. MP Waneoroa for his continued support of important constituency matters and initiatives that can lead to meaningful development for the people. Mr. Nunufia also recognized Solrice Company for its generous support of 20 bags of rice for the event.
