Kavitha intensifies political activity, plans protest on June 4 against notice to KCR over Kaleshwaram fiasco
HYDERABAD Intensifying her political activity after making her 'discontent' against a few key leaders of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) clear, party MLC and president of Telangana Jagruthi K. Kavitha announced a protest (deeksha) on June 4, against a notice to former Chief Minister and her father K. Chandrasekhar Rao by the Commission of Inquiry (CoI) on the Kaleshwaram project row. She inaugurated the new office of Telangana Jagruthi near her residence at Nandi Nagar, Banjara Hills (shifted from Ashok Nagar) on Saturday. 'KCR had ruled Telangana for over nine years keeping the interests of the State in mind and it is unfortunate that a person (A. Revanth Reddy), who had never said 'Jai Telangana' (slogan hailing Telangana) in his life has become the Chief Minister,' she said. She sought to know whether notices were issued to KCR for irrigating lakhs of acres with Kaleshwaram water or for introducing innovative schemes such as Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima. The protest on June 4 would be held at Indira Park. Interestingly, BRS has not planned any such protest so far. Stating that a person who had never paid tributes to martyrs, had no moral right to be the Chief Minister of Telangana, she demanded that the government rename the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme in the name of either Srikant Chary or Kaloji Narayana Rao or P.V. Narasimha Rao, since Rajiv Gandhi had no connection with Telangana. What's CM's stand on Banakacherla On the plans of Andhra Pradesh to divert Godavari water to Krishna and Penna basins in the name of Polavaram-Banakacherla Link Project, undermining the riparian rights of Telangana, she alleged that Mr. Revanth Reddy had not spoken a word about it so far since he was indebted politically to AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. Seeking to know why Mr. Revanth Reddy had gone so voiceless on the issues when neighbouring AP was using all its might to harm the rights of Telangana, Ms. Kavitha expressed doubts whether he was working for the interests of AP. The Centre had proposed Godavari-Cauvery interlinking from Inchampalli to deny the rightful share to Telangana against the proposal of then Chief Minister KCR to take it from Thupakulagudem, that too after meeting the present and future needs of Telangana. She demanded that Mr. Revanth Reddy make a clear statement on the issue on June 2 (Telangana Formation Day), and call for a meeting of the Apex Council to discuss it.

Telangana: BJP slams CM Revanth Reddy for prioritising 'Photo-ops' over governance
Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], May 31 (ANI): The Telangana unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Saturday, accusing him of reducing the Chief Minister's Office to a stage for photo-ops and media spectacles, rather than addressing serious issues of governance. In a sharp statement, BJP State Chief Spokesperson and Media In-Charge N.V. Subash criticised Revanth Reddy for what he described as 'bizarre and irresponsible' behaviour unbecoming of a state leader. He accused the Chief Minister of parroting false narratives that appear more in tune with Pakistan's propaganda than with the sentiments of Indian citizens. Referring to Revanth Reddy's recent remarks questioning the Modi government's military record and alleging failure to reclaim Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK), Subash said, 'Is he living in a fantasy? Even a national daily that once published such claims had to retract them after the Defence Ministry clarified the facts. Yet, the CM chooses to repeat these lies, presumably to curry favour with his party high command--Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi--thanks to whom he parachuted into the CM's chair.' Subash questioned whether the Chief Minister had any respect for the Indian Armed Forces, pointing out that the Directorate General of Military Operations (DGMO) had long clarified the facts Revanth continues to distort. 'Even a staunch BJP critic like AIMIM's Asaduddin Owaisi has no hesitation in calling out Pakistan's duplicity. But Revanth Reddy, in a stunning display of ignorance, appears to justify the enemy nation's claims,' he said. Taking a dig at the Chief Minister's priorities, Subash added, 'It is unfortunate that Revanth Reddy seems more thrilled about appearing alongside Miss World on tomorrow's front pages than expressing solidarity with the nation at a time of heightened tensions with our rogue neighbour, Pakistan.' He further mocked the CM for predicting Rahul Gandhi as India's future Prime Minister. 'Even his party members would laugh at that suggestion,' Subash quipped. The BJP Chief Spokesperson urged the Chief Minister to 'exercise restraint and responsibility' in public discourse, stating that such reckless commentary not only damages Revanth Reddy's credibility but also tarnishes the image of Telangana, a state that played a stellar role in India's freedom struggle. BJP slams Revanth Reddy for Op Sindoor questions: 'More excited about Miss World than national solidarity'
The Telangana unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday launched a scathing attack on chief minister Revanth Reddy over his statements on Operation Sindoor and criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. BJP state chief spokesperson NV Subash criticised Revanth Reddy for what he described as "bizarre and irresponsible" behaviour unbecoming of a state leader, reported ANI. Referring to Revanth Reddy's recent remarks questioning the Modi government and alleging failure to reclaim Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK), Subhash alleged that the chief minister's 'false narratives' appear more in tune with Pakistan's propaganda than with the sentiments of Indian citizens. "Is he living in a fantasy? Even a national daily that once published such claims had to retract them after the Defence Ministry clarified the facts. Yet, the CM chooses to repeat these lies, presumably to curry favour with his party high command--Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi--thanks to whom he parachuted into the CM's chair," Subhash was quoted as saying by the news agency. "Even a staunch BJP critic like AIMIM's Asaduddin Owaisi has no hesitation in calling out Pakistan's duplicity. But Revanth Reddy, in a stunning display of ignorance, appears to justify the enemy nation's claims," he said, according to ANI. He also claimed that Reddy seems 'more thrilled about appearing alongside Miss World' on front pages than expressing solidarity with the nation at a time of heightened tensions with Pakistan. 'It is unfortunate that Revanth Reddy seems more thrilled about appearing alongside Miss World on tomorrow's front pages than expressing solidarity with the nation at a time of heightened tensions with our rogue neighbour, Pakistan,' he said. Earlier, while participating in Congress 'Jai Hind Yatra' in Nizampet, Hyderabad, Reddy had criticised the Narendra Modi-led Central government and said that the country needs the leadership of Rahul Gandhi. "Modi is expired rupee, Modi is like a 1000 rupees' invalid note. Today, this country needs Rahul Gandhi's leadership. If a leader like Rahul Gandhi would have been Prime Minister of this country, then he would have taken (former PM) Indira Gandhi as inspiration and would have walked in Kaali's (Maata) way and would have made Pakistan into two parts and would have taken PoK back," Revanth Reddy was quoted as saying by ANI. BJP MP Eatala accuses CM of double-speak on PM Modi, Centre
Hyderabad: Malkajgiri MP Eatala Rajender on Friday asked Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to answer whether the Congress party was not the reason for the Kashmir issue to simmer even after 75 years of independence. 'Didn't the Congress party fuel the dispute by granting Kashmir a degree of independence?' he questioned. Taking strong exception to CM Revanth Reddy's speech during the Jai Hind rally, he asked, 'If Indira Gandhi had taken control of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir during the Indo-Pakistan war, would India be in this situation today?' The BJP MP said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the hero who abrogated Article 370 and made Kashmir an integral part of India. He charged that the Congress party and its leaders talk about national security like demons reciting Vedas. 'The words they speak meant for rhyme and political gains are damaging the self-confidence of our soldiers. Accusing CM Revanth of double speak, he said that the Chief Minister praises Modi in Delhi but abuses him in the streets. His ministers applaud the work of the Centre but the CM abuses the Centre. That exposes the true colours of CM Revanth Reddy, he added.

Laxman condemns Revanth's comments on Operation Sindoor
Hyderabad: BJP Rajya Sabha member and OBC Morcha National President Dr K Laxman strongly condemned the comments made by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy regarding Operation Sindoor. On Friday, Dr Laxman stated that Revanth Reddy had claimed that the Rafale fighter jets of India were destroyed by Pakistan, and had asked how many Rafale fighter jets were lost. The BJP MP said that it was inappropriate to speak disparagingly about the Indian Army. He emphasised that such comments undermine the morale of the country's defence forces and tarnish the nation's honour. Laxman also criticised Congress leaders for channelling their anger against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP towards the Indian Army and the nation. Dr Laxman urged both the public and political leaders to take note of these comments and respond accordingly. He demanded the Congress leaders to explain their stance that favours Pakistan. Meanwhile, Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu BJP co-incharge, criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's remarks regarding Operation Sindoor. He stated that Reddy and other Congress leaders are consistently making negative comments about national security for their political advantage. 'It is outrageous that Congress is making such comments when an all-party MP delegation is abroad showcasing the success of Operation Sindoor and the atrocities of Pakistan. Congress should apologise immediately,' he said.
