The 20-inch long sando at Little Fino in Williamsburg, Brooklyn Sandwich too stubby? Head to Williamsburg, where a new restaurant by Andrew Carmellini's restaurant group, NoHo Hospitality, just opened at The William Vale. Located on the ground floor of the luxury Williamsburg property, Little Fino opened on April 15, 2025. The restaurant is an addition to The William Vale's dining options, which include Leuca and popular rooftop bar Westlight. Inspired by the new wave of small bars and cafes opening in Rome today, Little Fino melds Italian charm with contemporary Brooklyn, in a cafe-meets-piazza space open all day and into the evening. Come afternoon, an Italian menu with snacky bites plus martinis is offered through the evening. Chef Anthony Ricco, who grew up blocks from the restaurant, runs the kitchen at Little Fino. "Chef Ricco and I have worked together for years, and he never stops impressing me with what he brings to the table," says Chef Carmellini. 'After running the show at The William Vale for nearly a decade, I knew Ricco was the perfect fit to bring his creativity to the table for Little Fino. A lifelong Brooklyn native, no one understands the neighborhood better than Ricco as he grew up just blocks away in Greenpoint cooking in his Nonna's kitchen. Together, we've created a menu that combines his talent with his Italian roots, serving up a menu that's ready to welcome both locals and out-of-towners alike.' Nguya Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) to Sail Away from China in September 2025

Nguya Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) is set to sail away from China in September 2025, Federico Ricco, Development Director at Congo LNG, said at the Congo Energy&Investment Forum 2025 during the FLNG Developments in the Republic of Congo session. The addition of the Nguya FLNG vessel is part of the second phase of the Congo LNG project – which began operating in December 2023 – and is expected to increase the project's production capacity by 2.4 million tons per annum (mtpa). "The vessel is currently under construction in China and will allow us to increase production to 3 million tons per year," Ricco stated. As the operator of Congo LNG, Eni has been at the forefront of gas monetization in the Republic of Congo, first with the development of the Centrale Électrique du Congo gas-to-power plant in 2011 and later through the implementation of the Congo LNG project. Ricco explained that "the first phase was completed within 12 months to enable LNG exports, which is remarkably fast." Echoing Ricco's comments on the speed of FLNG deployment, Marien Ibiaho, Area Sales Manager for Europe&Africa at NOV, emphasized that, "Many LNG projects involve large-scale infrastructure and extensive construction. The advantage of FLNG is that it enables rapid gas monetization. The delivery timeline is fast - less than two years." For the Republic of Congo, FLNG has played a key role in positioning the country as an LNG exporter. Looking ahead, Ricco emphasized the need for continued exploration, greater collaboration and leveraging LNG to further strengthen Congo's industrial capacity. 'We must keep exploring, work alongside other operators to maximize value in Congo, and ensure that LNG enhances the country's industrial growth," Ricco said. Expanding on his comments, Ibiaho stated, "For FLNG projects to succeed, the approach must be built on partnerships, not just a client-service provider relationship.' Dr. Tsoumou-Gavouka Communications and Public Relations Advisor to the Director General, SNPC underscored the importance of partnerships in Congo's LNG development, suggesting that Eni collaborate with Chinese oil company Wing Wah, which is preparing to launch its own LNG project. The inaugural Congo Energy&Investment Forum, set for March 24-26, 2025, in Brazzaville, under the highest patronage of President Denis Sassou Nguesso and supported by the Ministry of Hydrocarbons and Société Nationale des Pétroles du Congo, brings together international investors and local stakeholders to explore national and regional energy and infrastructure opportunities. New analysis says Trump budget plan will take from poorest 40 percent to give to wealthy

An analysis by Yale University has found that a budget plan being considered by Republican lawmakers would ultimately transfer wealth from the poorest 40 percent of Americans to the richest 1 percent. Researchers Harris Eppsteiner and John Ricco of Yale's Budget Lab found that the proposed GOP budget whose framework was supported last month in a vote by the House would include $4.5 trillion in tax cuts that would largely benefit the wealthy, along with $1.5 trillion in spending cuts, including to benefits for the public, including the poorest. Approximately $230 billion of those cuts would come from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program — often shorted to SNAP — which helps poor families afford food. Another $880 billion would come from cuts to Medicaid, which provides assistance for individuals with limited resources to pay for healthcare. It's also the program that covers most costs for 60 percent of elderly Americans in nursing homes. Both cuts would occur over a 10-year period. "The overall effect of these policy changes would be regressive, shifting after-tax-and-transfer resources away' from households at the 'bottom of the distribution towards those at the top," Eppsteiner and Ricco wrote in their analysis. After-tax-and-transfer income refers to the income remaining after deducting all taxes and adding back government 'transfers,' such as Social Security, Medicare, unemployment benefits, and so on. Taxed households at the 'bottom of the income distribution would see a reduction in after-tax-and-transfer income of 5 percent, those in the middle of the distribution would see a modest increase of 0.6 percent, and those in the top 5 percent of tax units [household] would see an increase of 3%,' wrote Eppsteiner and Ricco. 'More than 100 percent of the net fiscal benefit would accrue to the top quintile,' the analysis added. Donald Trump has repeatedly insisted that he will not cut Medicaid, but independent analysts have reported that the Republicans cannot achieve their budget without making severe cuts to the program. Proposed Republican changes to Medicaid have already caused protests in several parts of the nation. In addition to the cuts, the proposed Republican budget would also renew expiring provisions of Trump's Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, which itself was the largest transfer of wealth from the poor to the ultra-rich in U.S. history. The report notes that the proposed plan it analyzed may change between now and whenever it may be passed in the future. "As noted above, the Resolution passed by the House on February 25 does not specify how each committee is to meet its specified target. As such, the committees may ultimately endorse policy changes that substantially differ from those analyzed in this blog post," the authors wrote.

Anthony Ricco quits Diddy's legal team, stating ‘under no circumstances' can he continue

Anthony Ricco, one of the six defense attorneys representing Sean 'Diddy' Combs in his ongoing sex-trafficking case, has formally stepped down. Ricco filed a motion to withdraw as Combs' legal counsel on Thursday, citing professional and ethical reasons. According to legal documents obtained by Page Six, Ricco stated, 'Under no circumstances can I continue to effectively serve as counsel for Sean Combs, consistent with the ABA Standards for Criminal Justice.' While Ricco refrained from disclosing specific reasons, he emphasized that attorney-client privilege prevented him from elaborating further. Although court rules generally mandate a clear justification for attorney withdrawal, Ricco asserted that attorney-client privilege necessitated discretion in his request. In his filing, he noted, 'There are sufficient reasons (related to the protections afforded by attorney/client privilege) for brevity in my application for withdrawal.' This suggests that undisclosed factors influenced his decision to step down. Combs, the well-known music mogul and entrepreneur, is facing allegations related to sex trafficking, which have led to significant legal scrutiny. With multiple attorneys still representing him, it remains unclear whether Ricco's departure will affect the overall defense strategy. Neither Combs nor his legal team have publicly commented on the development. As Combs' legal proceedings continue, Ricco's unexpected departure may prompt adjustments in the defense strategy, raising questions about the case's trajectory. With the high-profile nature of the allegations, the case remains under intense public and legal scrutiny.
