Futsal player sacked for making OnlyFans content claims she makes 100 times more selling adult content

A former futsal player sacked for having an OnlyFans account has boasted she's now earning 100 times more on the adult website than playing the sport. Marcela Soares, 21, claimed she had been sacked by her futsal club Pelotas, located in Rio Grande do Sul state, Brazil. Soares said her dismissal came after she began sharing content on the adult subscription website OnlyFans, however, she claimed her contract did not prohibit her from posting the content. Marcela had previously played for Leoas da Serra, Marechal Copagril, Pato Branco, Female and Celemaster, She has now quit the sport altogether after saying she had been 'betrayed' by other women and did not want clubs standing in her way of her life away from futsal. Marcela explained: 'I love futsal, it's my passion forever. But I can't stay somewhere that tries to control who I am outside of the game. 'I never stopped being the athlete I always was, and I never disrespected the club, but I was told I was setting a bad example for children. I was judged, excluded and I felt betrayed even by other women. 'But I also gained something: freedom and financial independence. Today I feel stronger.' She has also built a large fanbase, with over 247,000 people following her on Instagram alone. Freedom: Soares said she 'loves futsal' by did not want to be restricted away from the sport

Brazil shuts Brasilia zoo after bird flu kills wild pigeon and duck, export halt hits 24 countries including China

BRASÍLIA, May 29 — Brasilia's zoo shut out visitors yesterday after detecting suspected fatal cases of bird flu in a pigeon and a duck two weeks after an outbreak was detected on a poultry farm in Brazil's south. The agriculture department announced the zoo in Brazil's capital would be closed temporarily, but without saying when it will reopen. The dead birds were wild, not part of the zoo's stock, said the department, adding the risk of human infection 'is considered low.' Brazil, the world's leading exporter of chicken meat, halted shipments to 24 countries — including China, its biggest customer — after registering a bird flu outbreak on a farm in the state of Rio Grande do Sul on May 16. Infections in humans can cause severe disease with a high mortality rate, according to the World Health Organization, but the virus does not appear to move easily from person to person. Human cases detected so far were mostly in people who had close contact with infected birds and other animals, or contaminated environments. — AFP

Brazil's Tocantins state says agriculture ministry ruled out bird flu on commercial farm

SAO PAULO, May 28 (Reuters) - Brazil's Tocantins state said on Wednesday the agriculture ministry has ruled out an outbreak of bird flu on a local commercial farm, citing conclusive test results received from the ministry. There are currently seven potential outbreaks of highly pathological avian influenza in Brazil under investigation, including one on a commercial farm in Rio Grande do Sul, according to the ministry's website.

Brazil finds bird flu in wild bird, investigates potential case on commercial farm

SAO PAULO, May 27 (Reuters) - Brazil identified fresh bird flu cases in wild animals, which it said should not have any commercial impact, and is investigating a new potential case on a commercial farm, Agriculture Minister Carlos Favaro said on Tuesday. Brazil, the world's largest chicken exporter, earlier this month identified a bird flu outbreak on a commercial farm in the southern city of Montenegro, triggering both nationwide and regional trade bans from dozens of countries. The new case on wild birds happened in the city of Mateus Leme, located in the southeastern state of Minas Gerais, data in the Agriculture Ministry's website showed. Favaro told a Senate hearing that the case should be treated as something "natural", since Brazil is rich in migratory birds, which generally transmit viruses. The minister also said that authorities were investigating a potential new case on a commercial flock in the Brazilian southern state of Rio Grande do Sul, the same state where the Montenegro outbreak had happened. The case under investigation was from a commercial farm in the city of Anta Gorda, where Brazil identified an outbreak of Newcastle disease on a poultry farm last year. Brazil is currently investigating about a dozen of potential outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian flu, but only two, including the one in Anta Gorda, are on commercial farms, data from the ministry showed. Preliminary tests had already indicated a negative result for a case under investigation on a commercial farm in the northern state of Tocantins.
