Alan Ritchson Turns Heads With Unrecognizable Look in First Image for New Thriller

Alan Ritchson Turns Heads With Unrecognizable Look in First Image for New Thriller originally appeared on Men's Fitness. If you thought Alan Ritchson looked unrecognizable after gaining muscle for Reacher, wait until you see his latest look for Motor City. It's sure to make you do a double take. Set in the 1970s, Motor City is Ritchson's bold new action film making its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. Elevation Pictures tweeted a photo of Ritchson—still looking as brawny and bulked as ever. Dare we say he looks even beefier than he does as Jack Reacher? But this time, he's rocking a more rugged look, complete with a full beard and long hair that falls just above his shoulders. Motor City stars Ritchson in the role of John Miller, a Detroit man released from prison, who unleashes a rampage of brutal vengeance on those who framed him. The Detroit-set thriller promises immersive visual storytelling along with choreographed and stylized action sequences."When a 70s-era everyman is framed by a ruthless local gangster, he emerges from prison determined to reclaim his life by any means necessary," the TIFF website reads. Along with Ritchson, the star-studded cast also includes Shailene Woodley, Ben Foster, and Pablo Schreiber, Ben McKenzie, Zoë Kravitz, and Natasha McElhone. The screenplay comes from Chad St. John and is directed by Potsy Ponciroli. "He's [Ritchson] very tall and very muscular, and he's very handsome. He's terrific as a mover. I think he wants to do some deeper work or rather different kinds of work than he's been doing, and that's a joy," Foster shared with Collider at TIFF Ritchson Turns Heads With Unrecognizable Look in First Image for New Thriller first appeared on Men's Fitness on Aug 6, 2025 This story was originally reported by Men's Fitness on Aug 6, 2025, where it first appeared. Joe Biden crashes Amazon's ‘Reacher' set in Philadelphia during police chase scene

Former President Joe Biden and his family crashed the set of the action series 'Reacher' on Monday morning. CBS Philadelphia reported that Biden, his wife Jill and his son Hunter surprised the cast and crew of the Amazon Prime series in Philadelphia as they shot a police chase. HughE Dillon, a local photographer who was watching the filming nearby, told CBS Philadelphia about suddenly seeing black SUVs pulling up onto the scene. 'Out walked these men, that I thought they were actors, but then the entire cast and crew started clapping and cheering,'Dillon said. 'Then someone said, 'We love you, Joe, we love you!'' According to the report, the former president was visiting the area to get breakfast at the nearby restaurant Parc. He later met and took photos with several cast and crew members, including the show's lead actor, Alan Ritchson. Dillon said the cast and crew seemed surprised to see the Bidens. 'It was just something very bizarre that I never could have imagined, both things were happening at the same time,' he said. 4 Joe and Hunter Biden on set of Reacher. Ritchson has made political comments against conservatives in the past. In a Hollywood Reporter interview from April 2024, Ritchson criticized Christian supporters of President Donald Trump. 'Trump is a rapist and a con man, and yet the entire Christian church seems to treat him like he's their poster child and it's unreal. I don't understand it,' Ritchson said. 4 Dillon said the cast and crew seemed surprised to see the Bidens. Alan Ritchson/Instagram One month later, he claimed he was 'met with violence' for sharing these and other views. 'If you want to see violence flee the world, be more generous to everybody! That is the Christian ethic! That is what I don't see happening. And when I speak up about it in my own ways, I'm met with violence,' Ritchson said.

Alan Ritchson Relies on One Simple Workout Tool to Fuel His Upper-Body Training

Alan Ritchson Relies on One Simple Workout Tool to Fuel His Upper-Body Training originally appeared on Men's Fitness. Alan Ritchson isn't wasting any time getting ready for Season 4 of Reacher, sharing a clip of his EZ-bar upper-body superset workout on social media. Reacher's fourth season was confirmed this week, with filming presumably already underway. And as Ritchson shared in a social media post a couple of weeks ago, Season 4 is going to be Reacher's most intensely physical season yet. "My body is ready," he wrote in an Instagram caption. But the grind never packed on 30 pounds of muscle to land the role of Jack Reacher, transforming into a shredded action star. Before Reacher, his go-to moves were bodyweight dips, pushups, pullups, situps, and sprints. Now, he's leaned into resistance training—and it shows. In the new clip, Ritchson knocks out a high-volume upper-body superset using just an EZ-bar. ' "Low(ish) weight + higher volume = hypertrophy and longevity," he writes. "I can't get pregnant or injured right now. Too busy. This works for me." When it comes to supersets, sticking to one piece of equipment makes for quick, seamless transitions while keeping your heart rate up. Ritchson work through four total sets, cranking out high reps for maximum pump. Try it for yourself. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and grip the EZ-bar with an underhand grip. Keep your elbows close to your sides and curl the bar toward your shoulders. Squeeze at the top, then lower the bar slowly. Hold the EZ-bar overhead with both hands on the inner angled grips. Keeping elbows close to your head, lower the bar behind your neck by bending at the elbows. Press it back up, extending your arms fully. Grip the EZ-bar with palms facing your body and arms extended. Pull the bar straight up to chest height, leading with your elbows. Pause, then lower it back down.
